Hi Willy. I like your attempt to topics like war and what's really is. I appreciate your efforts, your mindset, bringing some light into the propaganda jungle, around "being a fighter" and what war is doing to people. No gloryfication, only reporting. Some say "War makes young boys a man.". Well, we all can agree that we don't need war to make our boys man. Boys become man through other, better things, over time. I always think, when young man are excited about war and say "I found myself, my destiny, that's (military) what I am." It makes me (someone who served more than 10 years in the German airforce) very, very sad. Keep up your good work and always be cautious!
That Freak who run a fake veterans charity comes from SA Jason Ashley Deveraux he got out of a SA jail in 2013 after serving 4 yrs of an 8 year sentence for aggravated armed Robbery and threatening to kill a woman I ran into him at a vets halfway house Cypress Cottage in WA he was threatening & intimidating & stealing off vets with severe PTSD I warned him to stay away he chose to ignore my sage advice he came back a month later and tried to attack me with a cricket bat 🏏 so he left in an ambulance to get his face sewn back together the WA cops charged me and I ended up getting a 13 month prison sentence I did 8 months and 6 months probation and that rock spider is still operating and stealing donations for veterans been investigated by DVA after they funded his fake charity Veterans 360 Australia V360A to the tune of over $500,000 over 2 years after the DVA investigation into him they dropped him but kept it quiet because of the bad press and attention it would draw Deveraux has had clashes with Warrior Racing and Overwatch and many other vets and organisations but this complete waste of Rations is still operating and stealing monies

I've seen your channel and subbed to it a long time ago.
I also heard a lot about tunnel systems in Afghanistan,but I was part of the security forces for a PRT in RC-N.(Wich were responsible for reconstructing efforts in our AO).
My impression was that tunnel systems were mostly encountered in the initial 2001/02 Operation Anaconda phase of OEF.

After serving no more then 6 months, One can quit the military and the military sees the breech of contract as, “Hey, it didn’t work out, no harm, we’ll just clean the slate as if you never joined.” So if he left “early,” from military service, as he said, I’m curious in what kind of unfavorable discharge did the military give him?
Thanks for being real, CivDiv. Seen some of your vids and nice to get to know you a bit better 'in person.' Thanks also for turning it around at 33:15 and interviewing Willy. I have always wondered or supposed something similar about Willy's motivations and charmed ability to connect with great interview subjects and elicit so much from them. I wondered if his grave predicament earned him sympathy and cred from combat soldiers more even than his prior military experience, which is probably also a big part of the equation (allowing him to ask the right questions and get over that first hurdle of 'otherism' between soldiers and civilians). Good luck to both of you young men. You have made a difference and your efforts and experiences will be remembered.

I think that the war is unjustified, obviously--I went there. But, yeah, even with ISIS. They grew up, a lot of them, without internet, electricity. They grow up in these small farm villages... And they don't know anything except that they're devout Muslims, with a very radical view. But they didn't know--they don't know the rest of the world. And then there's this big war to go and 'Reclaim the Muslim Land.' I wish that I could see their side. We quickly just look at the bad parts of people. And they do the same."

I was undersized for my MOS in the Marine Corps and totally feel your pain. Literally, brother. If you haven’t done it, it’s hard to understand but there’s no work harder than Marine Corps work. I was one of the guys that sucked it up when I had to and skated when I could. Great in the field, and a ninja slap waiting to happen in garrison but it made us who we are today. Semper rah, CivDiv 👍

I’m 6’0 tall and weighted about 150lbs when I got to Parris Island and was struggling hard at first , I had a buddy who was 5’6 and idk how he made it thru basic and SOI with me

The extreme wealthy elitist make billions it’s smashing and smashing, and a little guy, the fighter, gets excited, gets pumped, has a mission‼️ The little guy bleeds and dies. The elitists get mansions, designer clothes and yachts. Total adrenaline for both the elitist and the little guy. Everybody wins. The only problem with this is one that lives to see another day, and the other one does not - never has their own family - never sees their . The whole thing sucks doesn’t it really.

To the charity is said. People who do it on their own, like buying goods and stuff, putting it into a lorry and drive it down to Ukraine don't earn anything but my respect. On the other hand, others feast on charity, do little but talk much about it. I wouldn't say all NGO's are that way, because I know some who're working their ass off to help and go regularly to work. You know, one can make a Dollar of poverty, crisis and war and some do it. That was always so and the bigger the charity is, the bigger are the possibilities to corrupt it. And there's always corruption in the countries you wanted to help you have to deal with too. It's a f*cked up world we live in and no one else is responsible for it than we humans ourselves!
I like how NGO's in Germany have to report how much money they get, how it's spend and how the structures are(how many people working for it and what the salery is). I usually look into these reports before I donate. I wouldn't platantly say they're all bad because of greed, corruption and mismanagement. Some (more) are,some not.

Vietnam war started when US sent advisors there. Now they got "inspectors" to Ukraine, after many billions of modern weapons already showing up in Sweden among other parts of Europe. They better do work of inspectors until this last shipment will be delivered, Europeans don't want them to mess with our internal affairs. Forgot about the nuclear weapons, we don't need them either. CIV DIV what do you think is the most valuable tactics or equipment you learned in Sierra and Iraq that you have passed on to Ukrainian forces to help survive in combat.
Oh for sure about the drones, got to teach them different ways drones track and how to evade them. Made a similar video about two months ago about that topic

For me at least, I think imagining a full high school stadium for something like a state championship worth of people dying really sort of puts into perspective how substantial of a loss 3-5k people really is. It’s truly harrowing to think that a substantial amount of people were just erased for the simple goal of removing their culture and heritage off the face of the earth.

Up to this pointI I had only watched one CIV DIV video of him in Ukraine plus I did not check out his channel and to be honest I thought he was a sick. I thought he was some idiotic guy who went to Ukraine for some me ego type buzz or just to say he had been there. Clearly I was wrong and too quick to pass judgment. I now have a lot of respect for this guy and have watched more of his videos.
And I agree, the human element is the most important aspect of any large event, what a certain person experienced no matter how small or large their involvement in such a situation. And also of equal importance is a view from both sides, I would love to hear a Taliban fighter’s thoughts on fighting an elite NATO unit.

People are lazy. They want to help so they give money to the biggest charities or the loudest charities.
Your chances of doing good are much higher giving to 5 people working in the field than one large NGO.

It would be an interesting and thought production to interview the Taliban and there perspective being on the other side. A Saw recently a Canadian Podcaster was allowed to go to Afghanistan. It was funny to see he was the only one in a western built hotel which was stunning to see. He walked about the streets of Kabul and interviewed shop keepers and fighters. Be prepared .. a lot of kids begging for food or money… women dressed in black hijabs … what I noticed the most was how people adapt… commerce is still going on, people are still in the cafe’s and going about their daily life…

Erdogan, the Turkish state, is against ALL attempts of the Kurds to gain power, in Turkey (of course) and in Syria. The latter affects, so they think, the political (geopolitical) landscape. They cried foul when arming the Kurds in Irak and that's why they stepped in in the war in Syria. Erdogan don't want to have a "Kurdish state/autonomy) before his doorstep. There's no other political/strategic reason why they got in with their army into Syria! Kurds living in Iran, Irak, Syria and Turkey and were betrayed by the Western powers after fighting along with them in ww1. The promise countries like Great Britain made to them, having their own country (after being repressed over the centuries by the ruling empires) when fighting for them. Kurds were and are oppressed in those countries and mostly don't get their fair share,or participate in the wealth. Kurds have a quasi state in Irak and others, like the ypg,control land in Syria. Erdogan doesn't want Kurds "succeed", not in the slightest. So he fights them where he can. Turkey even supported Isis in Syria, with weapons,logistic, intel and cured them in Turkish hospitals.

Türkiye has lost way more security personnel than any other NATO country during operations against ISIS in Syria and also inside of TR. Türkiye was targeted by ISIS more than any other NATO country. TR has lost its citizens more than any NATO country in just 3 years (2015-2018). So, you are putting yourself in a very ridiculous position with these allegations. There is no even one single evidence that supports your nonsense claims and all of the bullsh*t comes from a terrorist organization that even claimed Turkish Army used tactical nuclear weapons during operations… TR has been serving for NATO for 70 years and is the most active country in counter terrorism after the US. And you keep parroting Erdogan, Erdogan, Erdogan. TR has been fighting against pkk terrorism for over 40 years. As a person who literally hates Erdogan I want to tell you just one reality.
