The Foreign Legion has been in the news recently and even the state Ukrainian media now can't ignore the allegations made.
It isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
Foreign Fighters have been a large talking point throughout the Russia and Ukrainian War as some say they're foreign fighters fighting for Independence and freedoms and others will say they're hired Mercenaries with some facing the death penalty in Russia and Russian Backed Donetsk Peoples Republic.

@Dave was thinking the exact same thing.
Very demoralizing to be fighting with your life on the line, and seeing the team you are fighting for stealing, lying, and cheating.
Totally.
The Ukrainian goverment don't care about Ukrainians. The real problem for them is their government.
There's been quite a few Ukrainians vocally pissed about this as well. The Ukrainian government is on the look out for corruption because the corrupt are botching the war effort.
To be fair, it's not the team. Those are some specific corrupted members. A big difference. That said, yet you are right. That is demoralizing.
I recommend reading the classic WWII satire Catch - 22 by Joseph Heller. There's a character in there called Milo. He's an Air Force mess officer who capitalizes on the war to profit and enrich himself all the while styling himself as a patriot. He even does business with the Germans - I recall one chapter where he sold extra bombs to the allies for one mission to bomb some bridge - all the while having sold anti-aircraft munitions to the Germans defending that very bridge - getting a bonus for each allied aircraft shot down.
The author himself was a WWII veteran in the air force. It's hilarious as it is tragic.
Being treated as Cannon fodder, corruption and tactical incompetence. Is it worth it?

You can't beat Gorilla warfare when you have rules to war. If there was no rules... They would have leveled everything and everyone. That's the reality of the subject.

Tbh if I went somewhere to fight as a volunteer and risk my life for zero benefit and I was treated like this, I'd say 'fuck that' and go back home.
I was in Ukraine many times. It's just one of the most corrupted places I've ever seen. First lesson there was the corruption of the police. "Militzja jest koruptzja". But it's on all the level of the society. I ask me why we should die or risk to die for Ukraine. It's a no sense 1000%.
Agree 💯👍🏼
Yeah, corruption is a remnant from Soviet Times, at least that's my understanding. The whole ideological aspect of communism in reality just provides incentive for corruption. Supposedly corruption is not publicly acceptable the way that I used to be before the war, but you'd have to be regarded to believe that corruption just went away
@Legitpenguins99 my wife was born in Ukraine. I was there many times, since 2005. Corruption is a real problem in Ukraine. Do you really think that all the money that we are giving to Zelensky's regime is used to fight Russia? In the first line, ukrainians are always without stuff, while some ukrainians are around Europe driving BMW, Mercedes, and
Bentley and they are buying villas. How is it possible? I have my personal view. Corruption is blind and without heart. Our governments in Europe are simply crazy. They started a war against Russia, and now our economy collapses. They were able to grow up costs for energy and taxes and to open our countries to the risk of an atomic holocaust. That's insane. In the USA, people should learn something about Biden son's presence. Nobody can start a business there without accepting the corruption, like the official system. I say this because I have all the information to say that. Te rozumiesz?
tpenguins99 you joker. The EU is much more corrupt

Great Interview ! A good eye opener !
The one thing to say about corruption is let’s not be blind and hypocritical. In Canada, for example, a functioning democracy with apparently no or little corruption, the $20m gathered through crowdfunding in support of the truckers is still being withheld illegally by the government a year later, and the peaceful protests itself was dispersed violently with guns. Also guns were planted by RCMP at Coutts , Alberta to discredit the protest movement. Corruption is a sin known to us all. So let’s be humble
Canada is a corrupt clown car ruled by authoritarian left wing goons....you have no free speech or free press to speak of and your government is pretty much owned by china.
Yeah but Canada went full Totalitarian in last 10 years… Jordan Peterson tried to warn the Canadians that once you start compelling speech with state violence that’s the end of a democracy…
We are ruled by a WEF monster who loves lsIam.
but the corruption your talking about doesnt bring death as a instant consequence there are some diffrences id say so no we should not be humble imo
Great interview, thanks.

@Ironium Bro, that is very dark. Russia is pretty corrupt as well. Pretty spicy though, I like it.
@Ironium when will Russia fix it? They're currently practicing long distance running.
@Ironium i guess recruiting criminals is helping?
@Ironium There was silence from the shelling because it never existed. 90% of the deaths were in 2014 when Russia attacked. Also Minsk agreement didn't go well because Putin decided when and where it didn't apply to him and basically chose for himself when it was convenient or not so that didnt help at all.

@@elektrotehnik94 what you say is true. I think the reason why it’s so refreshing to see this type of reporting is because EVERYTHING in our western media is so ridiculously pro Ukrainian that they would never speak of or reveal any corruption or wrongdoing on the part of the Ukrainians. These interviews are not afraid to shed light on the strengths and weaknesses on both sides. This person did speak quite a bit of Ukrainian problems, however that would be his personal experience since that is who he is serving with. The little that he did know of the Russians he freely talked about. Sometimes we are also willing to speak more of a certain party’s weaknesses when people have wrongly made them out to have no wrongs. Just my view of it I guess.
@@elektrotehnik94
1) You don't overequip (western) units which are way, way safer from any (even potential) attacks, while frontline units bleed out because they have few tourniquets = supply logic, so your argument is MISLEADING;
2) You DON'T steal from units ENGAGED IN COMBAT to equip your platoon that sleeps in the trenches all day long;
3) Don't you denigrate other armies (in the Eastern Europe) on armory theft - you get prosecuted for a few bullets in peace time! Conspiracy of higher-ranked officers could be a thing, but not lower-ranked officers who are directly responsible;
4) Again, keep your disrespect for Eastern Europe to yourself - dogshit commanders can survive in an Eastern army if you consider the way they may treat subordinates or have battleplans carried on, BUT NOT the ones that consistently sacrifice personnel and material, just to get a "genius victory".

ye these morons in the video like to make everything about corruption as if their own country isnt corrupted to the very core.
not to mention most of this is misinformation, i heard many foreign soldiers in ukraine with videos/photos evidence and their FACE on camera, and none of this was reported.
if he feels there is ''corruption'' in the chain of command, he should show his face and who he is, and report it to the Ukrainian goverment to sort it out immediately, not come and misinform bunch of sh1t about who is drunk and who is not, i seen more videos of drunken russian orcs than any Ukrainian out there.

Well well well...corruption ate up Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc. before the final collapse. And westerners are naive to think that Ukranians are of european culture and hence reliable? The stupidity is amazing. :)
What do you expect you have Zelenski a cross dressing corrupt criminal the war is being used to take our money for the New World Order!!

i am so fkng ashamed of corruption in my country. it's all true what he says. just want to say that all this man described happened to ukrainian troops as well. not always, but even one time is already too much. initial Hostomel' defense was just a disaster. not even going into what happened down in Kherson. sorry for losses brothers and Thank You for your Sacrifice.

Do not be embarrased. Ukraine was fighting to change, to be free and to be what it really is, a long time ago. And since he began to win that fight to free himself from Russian influence, that's when Mosco has decided to invade. Ukraine will not change overnight. It will take a while, a generation or two. But it's on the way. And that's what matters. Everything will be fine. Vse bude Ukraina! and I have suffered the incompetence of idiots. But I am sure that one day it will be better, because I know that there are people like you. Smrt okupantam!
When this war ends and over 1Mio people get demobilized, all of those who were affected by this kind of corruption will go back home with PTSD and access to weapons - and they will see all of the new cars that some adminstrators/commanders/Pharmacy owners will drive. They will come back and see the fancy vacations these people can take on social media, the new flats they bought etc. And they will know that most of that came in during the war and so was a result of corruption.
I am still outraged at how our initial medical supply (over 20k€) intented for a charkiw hospital in march got stolen/arrested at the border and then ended up in a few pharmacies in Lwiw.
I can not beging to imagie the rage that will unload itself onto these people after the conflict cools down...
I have few questions..
How does a country that is neighbour to one of world nuclear power, goes from being PRO Russian to Anti Russian in just one day?
How does a country with more then 40 million people elects a COMEDIAN with no political experience at all? How is that even possible? Elects a guy that is leading them into war with Russia? No matter the coast, that war should have been avoided, it is basically a doom for Ukraine, anybody that loves Ukraine wouldn't lead it into war with Russia, who would in their sane mind go to war with Russia. Not to mention that your two countries are bordering each other.
Americans waging war in middle east is nothing to compare to this, there were no wars on American soil recently, but America fought all the wars there were on international level.
That is the point, USA wants every other country in the world to fight each other, so the war doesn't come to their soil.
And while others are fighting, guess who will sell arms and ammo to both sides often.
Who is buying Russian gas for normal prices and then selling it to Europe for 2 or 3 times more?
This is just a roleplay game between few leading people in the world, and the ones who get hurt are ordinary people.
Ordinary people who elected a comedian and fell to American influence to go to war with Russia.
Its unbelievable what the media is doing, Maidan coup, how it all happened with just few people, but the power of Media has gone to insane levels nowadays.
That is so American, divide and conquer is their role model.
@@nenad7653 The first question: you first need to know what you are talking about. If your information is crap, if you don't speak Ukrainian or Russian and don't know Ukraine, then it's logical that you ask those questions. But parts of false premises fruit of Russian propaganda. Many years listening to Russian media in English but not a day listening to Ukrainian media. You don't know the history of Ukraine or anything at all. That's the problem. That is why they had said that there was a donkey there, and now you are surprised that she is a cow. You just don't know anything. How does each country choose the politicians it elects? Zelensky is a comedian, and he's very good, and very smart. Have you elected better politicians in your country? I don't think so. Quite a few of them face-to-face. And my personal conclusion is that different people deal with their experiences very differently. Some talk about it in a very light, almost comical way, while others are obviously still distressed. Still others refuse to talk about it at all. There is absolutely no way that you could tell if someone has actually been in combat just by hearing them talk about it. Now, that is not to say that there aren't people out there who boast of things they never did or saw. But you cannot tell by how they breathe or talk.
For those involved in corruption it should be degradation to a private and straight into the frontline in a penal battalion.
Interesting- regarding Azov - Andriy Biletsky, the Azov Batallion's first commander and later a National Corps parliamentarian, previously led the neo-Nazi paramilitary organisation
"Patriot of Ukraine, and once stated in 2010 that it was the Ukrainian nation's mission to "lead the white races of the world in a final crusade... against
Semite-led Untermenschen
[subhumans?."
The other thing I saw regarding Bucha was pictures of many of the dead wearing white armbands showing they were pro Russian so why would the Russians kill them.
Your guest is correct the Ukrainians do outnumber the Russians in infantry- some cases 6 to 10 to 1 however the Russians outnumber the Ukrainians in artillery 10 to 1 However Russian mobilisation of reserves has fixed that problem.
Regarding corruption even CNN admits only 40% is getting to troops at the front.

Yeah, don't forget he is talking to Ukrainian foreign Fighter, so he gonna ignore a lot of things that really make the Ukrainian State look bad. Take all what he say with a whole Spoon of Salt. I can believe a whole lot of the things he said. But the moment he started talking about i never seen Russian Troops be professional, i knew in which Direction this goes. Russian Corruption, incompetent Russian Army Personal, drinking Looting i can believe that all with out a doubt, but he never seen Russian Forces be professional. Yeah comn. And to him all pro Russian Ukrainian seem to be Spies, trying to avoid the topic of treatment of Ukrainians who are Pro Russian by hardcore Ukrainians fanatics. I mean imagine bying on the occupied side in Russia or in Ukrainian Territory and being in Opposition to your current State. You could easily be accused of Spying and murdered. So any claim from Russia or Ukrainian that the Population of certain Areas Support them, Is ridiculous.

Best interview yet. Keep up the good work and stay safe
High praise from your critic. Always chase the truth. Well done.
Yer a "flerf," uh? Okay. Good. There's a little question I got that no flerf has been able to answer. Maybe you might take a shot at it.
You see, I thought it would be a fantastic souvenir to have a piece of the dome over the earth at "The Edge." So, I got in the Yellow Pages and started calling travel agencies to book a trip to, you know, "The Edge."
...Care to guess what happened? (...um. Actually, it should be quite the mystery to ANY "flerf" that this could possibly happen, shouldn't it?)
Now, that's not my question, but why did this happen? I mean, how 'bout you? Surely, you and other "flerfs" not only have been to "The Edge" many times, but probably have extremely lucrative travel agencies, you know, specializing in offering only this very thrilling adventure, uh? -- I mean, since no one else does. Right? You folks surely have a huge monopoly in this niche market, surely!
Hold on: Le'me git a pen and paper here: Okay: What is the phone number of your travel agency, or one you can recommend, so I can go get the souvenir of my dreams?
That's my question. Btw, any chance you sell pieces of the dome?

Great interview thanks Willy awesome stuff. I hope one day that all beings will live in peace
This is the most awesome channel I’ve come across =thanks for your efforts
The guy just picked the wrong side of the conflict. Bad for him and his mates
As a civilian who has not been close to battle apart from the hood in NYC and ARMA series I feel guilty listening to this. This is a world where I have no business or understanding including myself, apart from my voracious curiosity. To speak about death so matter of factly really displays the different world I'm living in.
It certainly _is_ your business. It is your money accruing into the slush fund that pays for the luxury cars and yachts to sit off the Maldivian Coast. It is your economy that has to repay the Federal Reserve the hundreds of billions of dollars.
100% agree mr @puck Loki I live in Wisconsin and it is so safe there and I work in an office. It is so far from everyday experience yet so interesting. I admire and respect tf out of these blokes.

Once again, you provide the best and most insightful coverage of this conflict. Thanks a lot!
Very good, thank you both.. The swedish veteran

Really good interview. I really appreciate your work. I can't believe how few views this report has had.
I have an idea. Send booze to the Russians. Drop crates of vodka in the grey zone.
How would low level officers profit from weapons? Who do they sell them to? You need a transportation network and a market. My guess is that fancy weapons are high graded to certain units. Favoritism is a form of corruption. Nepotism is a relic of the Soviet era
PEACE BROTHERS! LOVE FROM SERBIA FOR BOTH BROTHERS, FOR UKRAINE AND RUSSIA! OUR HEARTS ARE TEARING APPART LISTENING TO WHATS HAPPENING THERE!!!
Very similar things were happening in Yugoslavia 1992-1999. Both countries should change their leaders and continue following the Minsk agreement, we are brothers and we shouldnt fight each other, they are bigger enemies who always wanted us to fight each other! SLAVA SLAVENSKA!

That has nothing to do with tactics, his points are valid. He is obviously trained.

Great job just letting him talk and get all that out. We can hear the frustration in his voice, and it has to be healing for him to get it all out.
It is great for us to hear another first hand account from someone who was there.
Thank you for all you do, Godspeed.

Absolutely. This is a very valuable interview.
True. Too many hosts continue to interrupt with their own opinions.
Well well well...corruption ate up Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc. before the final collapse. And westerners are naive to think that Ukranians are of european culture and hence reliable? The stupidity is amazing. :)
Wow, extremely disheartening to hear of the extreme corruption going on in Ukraine. But not surprising at all. I spent a month last year driving through Ukraine and can confirm that corruption is commonplace. It's very much a culture of only looking out for yourself with relatively little empathy for anybody else, even in wartime. Those characteristics get a society nowhere, as seen with every extremely corrupt country in the world.
In fact, corruption is the ONLY word that comes up if you google ukriane. Before America stepped in officially, in 2022.. every article just talks about corruption in Ukraine then after 2022 its brave this and brave that and stupid bad russia
Ukranians are the best in corruption in the world, you can keepém and good luck
Sorry mate but I guess you did not get the memo. When the war started all corrupt officials suddenly changed their ways!
And how exactly did u understand that corruption is everywhere in Ukraine. Did Ukrainian officials not allow u to drive, until u give them bribery?
@@Malpertui87 You are either naive or have never been in a post soviet country. I literally used to make money by bribing Russians on vk to send me stolen military equipment that I would resell stateside for 3x what I bought it for. That's without stepping foot in Russia itself. And guess what, the same places where I sold that gear also had just as many listings selling Ukranian gear. I support the Ukrainians, but their money-motivated just like any other eastern european.
The T-55 Tank is outclassed as a main battle tank.. but as an anti sniper tool in urban warfare it reigns supreme. The finest rifle bore matched up with impeccable scope optics it provides excellence in a secure protective firing position. In almost any urban scenario it will outclass enemy snipers 99.9% of the time.
Effective aimed fire distance of T55 is 6900 meters, max distance is 16 km. These tanks are used as the artillery pieces.

About the Russians. This guy is not talking out of his personal experience. Its clear to me. He never actually saw with his own eyes anything he is describing the Russians did. Such a bs. And drinking in the army during the war is normal. During the ww2 all soldiers were issued with a 100g of spirit.
Sorry who exactly is this guy who is? Is he translator or fighter and even then was he ever in command positions in the western military? It does not seam like he was. And his examples is not corruption but crime he seam to be all over the place
Great video, the more attention brought to this subject hopefully it will be fixed
Another foreign fighter said about this exact subject. You can cry about it or do something about it. He did something about it...then cried about it when he got home lmao.
good information to have an idea about the situation there
The Donetsk and Luhansk regions have been fed with propaganda and always blaming Ukrainian army. This was going for years and that will take more to change their mind.
Feels wonderful that I found your channel...😊
Thanks for the upload willy, this is not only important current events you share but also its important history or at least will be one day. Somebody else mentioned in the comments that the videos you and others upload will survive you, its true, videos like these are not only important to watch to try to get some truth from, but will be important for understanding these events later on as well. The main stream media may report some of what's going on but the way in which they do it is either heavly biased one way or the other or has a very misguiding representation of what is going on. Something as simple as what you mentioned in the past about being hundreds of miles away from any sort of fighting but wearing full kit which gives an impression that the fighting is right around the corner, sorta like a weather man in a storm bracing against the wind making it seem as if he's about to blow away in the storm while in the background a mother and her kid walk calmly past him. Anyways thanks again for another upload. Much appreciated.
Heartbreaking to hear... thanks WBC and guest for sharing this.
Why the hell is he going back to a war we on the west made happen and are in control of and are losing badly why don't even any of them ask themselves who are the bad guys this time we on the west told Ukraine to not sign the original peace agreement

@Challo This is the first true good vs evil war since WW2. If you don't understand the moral justifications and obligations these volunteers for Ukraine have without having them explained to you, you never will. It's obviously not about the shitty pay.
@@sata1938 spoiler alert ukraine is the bad guy
@@sata1938 Funniest shiet i read all day. There is no ''good VS evil'' in war. War is a continuation of a political agenda. Putin considered NATO expansion a threat to Russia and so he attacked before he was, in his mind, encircled.
Whatever the reason volunteers may have to fight, there is no right side in the war except for one's subjective opinion of what a ''right side'' is.
@@van-sx1332 How can you call NATO "expansion",? Countries willingly join defence alliance to protect their borders, noone forces them. If putin wants countries to ally with russia maybe he has to change tactics of pilliging and forcefully connecting them to the russian world.
And as you heard in the video, the man's reason to fight is to stop russia in ukraine rather than in his own country. He didnt choose the side he was forced in this war.
@@sata1938 Even WW2, how in the world was a fight between Hitler and Stalin good vs evil, when we all know they were both insane psychos who could care less about civilians or their own soldiers?
