  • Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defence (CBRN) are protective measures taken in situations in which chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear warfare hazards may be present. CBRN defence consists of CBRN passive protection, contamination avoidance, and weapons of mass destruction mitigation.
I speak with a advisor to the Australian Special Operations for CBRN Threats to get a better idea, and some useful information & how this could relate to an environment like Ukraine and a major city like Kyiv.

Lack of accountability is one of the biggest flaws in Western media, lets say someone gave fake news to the media and few months later is proven wrong, there will never be a backup to correct their mistakes, they will just let it slide, cus the media itself is a military tool .... There is a reason why Julian Assange is in prison today, cus Western wars are classified informations but Russian war is LIVE, even bloggers have access to it.

I worked for a french weapons manufacturer on computer networking for a french warship. The company also made the vectors (bombs, shells) specifically designed to carry chemical and biological agents. These were sold to Saddam Hussein during an arms embargo. He promptly used them to gas the Kurds. It was investigative journalism that discovered the whole thing. Then the French government denounced the company. It was the French government that offered the contract to sell these weapons to Saddam Hussein in the first place. So much for France, enlightenment and human rights. When I quit in disgust, my boss told me: we are a business, morality has no place here. Our job is to sell weapons to anyone who can pay.

OK so a couple of points: (1) Sigs corps personnel aren't CBRN advisors in SOCOMD. He might have been support staff in his Sig role, but ZERO chance he was ever involved in providing CBRN advice. There is a whole unit of people who do that, and they're RAE. (2) Most of what he says he's just reading from course notes, this guy is NOT an expert. It sounds from the intro like he ran some pre-deployment don/doff training at 39PSB - literally about an hour on how to wear PPE. No disrespect, but that DOES NOT make him any kind of expert. As for his speculation about what Russian capability and intent is, hahahahaha yeah ok. Where do you start? Yep I know/knew a few Vietnam Vets (which there isn't exactly a large number of in my community to begin with) that had incredibly early cancer of various types often in odd areas... One good family friend is currently still alive, but has to use a walker to move and is in constant pain (pancreatic and colon cancer) his base was established in a newly deforestested zone, then he had to patrol from the base into the vegetation zones past the defoliant, giving him a rather high dose if it was dry and dusty for a few weeks... One of my favorite elder friends died in 2013 from awful agent orange related cancer that had basically begun spreading throughout his organs and spine and brain before he finally had a stroke one day and the VA discovered everything... He was doomed anyway, but being stubborn for years certainly lessened any agony from treatment by catching it earlier I guess 🙁 He was a huey door gunner working around heavily treated areas (his helicopter actually helped deliver localized defoliant around a couple of remote village with a hoard of other helicopters... He said their skin would blister and peel on their hands from getting the chemicals on them while mounting/dismounting the smaller non dedicated huey aerial dispersion containers 😐 I worked around him every summer as a dumb 14-17ish year old kid, but knew him as family friend. For some reason he would share many stories with me while working, often traumatic ones like when his best friend was murdered on an R&R trip by a young boy with a pistol among many other absolutely insane everyday duty stories... I knew he very rarely talked about his experience with his non veteran friends that I knew well (even my dad, one of his best friends from childhood only knew a halful of stories and had told me not to directly ask him about it, knowing I was a big history buff) I still don't know why J felt comfortable sharing those events with me... Maybe because of my knowledge/passion of military history... Or maybe I reminded him of a lost friend from those days... But the conversations would abruptly stop or never start if anyone else was around... I'm just glad I had the opportunity to take in such real, individual stories from someone I respected so much... If not for Agent Orange maybe I would've been able to gather enough information for a memoir of his experience... But sadly he died after surviving war, ptsd, and years of brutal poisoning before he sadly passed away... RIP J 🙁

Good video mate as always, really interesting one this one and mad respect to this guy for what he has done and continues to do.
A few comments though, i get its a one sided conversation in a way and its all about Russia doing it but yeah is a little annoying with it being that way (mainly because its how the media is also), but that's just how it is, people aren't gonna talk about the risk of the other side doing something, and Russia 100% has more ability to do it, though having the ability doesn't mean you will.
I mean yeah Russia will and has gone to London, America, anywhere really to kill someone important with a chemical, but its not like the west doesn't do this also, although normally we just fucking shoot them.... or bomb them with a drone :/ or a car bomb apparently now.
I wish none of us would but well that's not the reality sadly.
and i mean to be fair if you get hit by a chemical you have a chance of living, rather then just getting shot or car bombed, though you got the risk of it getting someone else with a chemical attack.. though same can be said about a car bomb or drone.
As for dirty bombs, they don't really work, which this guy would know, at least no one has found a way for it to work well. Scott Ritter ex UN weapons inspector (one who said the WMD in iraq was bullshit and ended up quitting) and on site inspector for the INF treaty talked, about Israel and Iraq i think? they were testing them and they found that for the radiation to kill you, you would need to be within about 10 metres of it or really close (i forget the number), which with the explosive it self.. yeah your dead anyway.
The most dangerous thing about it is the fear it creates, not even using it, just the idea it COULD happen is dangerous, fear makes people do stupid things.
Now for me the main issue is Russia wont be using any nukes in Ukraine, i mean one thing is they actually believe in the whole MAD thing, they don't believe in small tactical strikes and shit, they got rid of most of their "tactical" nukes and instead focused on the idea of MAD.
Now America? they went away from MAD as they wanted to keep the ability to do these "small strikes".. (the idea of escalate to deescalate as they like to call it) soooo I'm more worried about America when it comes to nukes then Russia.
If Russia fires off nukes, well we are all fucked anyway is the way i see it as they are only firing it for MAD reasons
Biden hell and Obama were meant to make America go back to the MAD way of thinking of things buuuuut they didn't, because if they do that the military industrial complex loses money, then you don't need all these systems for small tactical nukes, these sneaky bombers and shit, if you only believe in MAD none of that is needed.
Same goes for chemicals, i highly doubt Russia would, It however is a risk that should be taken seriously like all risks, just pretty dam unlikely for it to be used, Russia doing that would increase the chance of NATO becoming more active in the conflict and that's not something anyone (but Ukraine) wants, also they would liekly lose their support from the nations that are still trading with them, china, India all that jaz.
Now if Russia WAS to use some chemical weapon or nuke Ukraine, yeah there really is nothing the west could do to stop it, we all know that, you can try to reduce the risk or help as much as you can after but yeah cant really stop it.
Its valid to know these things and be careful of it / prepared for it, though no need to be overly afraid of it or be worried about it all the time, if your in Ukraine you got a much higher risk of a stray rocket flying into your house or having guys conscript you off the street to fight then you do of a chemical weapons attack.
Now as for what's stopping them from doing this?.. i mean as said that ^^^ also, they aren't some evil James bond type villain like some people like to think, they are just people like everyone else with their own interests, wants and desires.
I mean what's stopping America from doing this?. because they are the "good" guys?.. we do remember what the CIA and all that was doing to their own people right? with all those fucked up experiments and shit.
Anyway as said its very unlikely Russia would use this stuff, its just not needed as they are "winning" (killing more of them then they lose, aka war of attrition) / will win.
Now Ukraine on the other hand.. they might consider it, they could use it to try to draw in NATO, a false flag (which both sides of this have done before) which is a bit of a worry, though i don't believe it would be the Ukrainian military or gov that would do it, some groups like Azov and all that might though, its always a worry with fanatical extreme groups.
We all know how the media would react.. look at what just happened in Poland, you had the media outlets, hell even leaders of country's talking about shit from it being Russia and condemning it, to talking about starting ww3 over it.
As for plausible deniability, ha that is loved by everyone my man, its why we have PMCs and all that crap, its why America funded and armed the rebel groups of the middle east and did this with other groups so it 100% """"wasn't"""" America, even though we all know it was lol.
Its why America with groups like national endowment for democracy is funding colour revolutions around the world, ah good old plausible deniability.
Also please do remember with the hacking what we learned from Snowden and Julian Assange, the CIA or NSA (i forget which) can hack into your systems and make it look like it came from somewhere else, now this can be done just to cover their ass.. OR to set someone else up.
i think people forget a good bit of the info we learned from these two.
Now as for the biolabs in Ukraine, yeah Russia has talked it up a bit to much personally (to bring the fear factor), though America lying about it, then getting caught in their lie and then saying they are worried Russia might use some of the stuff in the labs as a weapon... yeah that REEEEEEEEALY didn't help the whole thing lol.
But yeah of course western country's make some chemical weapons and shit to test on, they would be brain dead not to, got to figure out how to fight it.
and at the end there that is 100% correct nuclear weapons are hugely important for the world, if Russia, china or anyone the west didn't like didn't have nuclear weapons, we would of likely tried to fight and kill them ages ago.. which would of been completely fucked and probably killed millions to billions
anyway sorry about the big ass message, just wanted to comment on some things as the video went on.
otherwise mate great video as always, keep up the great work

Given context to the people and informing them properly isn't wanted, not really. But I have to say some western outlets, tv stations try. There's still a difference between Anglo-American tv stations, Europeans and of course thiseyof Russia, China and others. It's always a matter of interests and what goals are behind it. Surpass western technology… my friend, when it comes to the most ludicrously funded military industrial complex in the world… the moment you think you’ve surpassed it… is usually because they’ve stopped talking about what they’ve found… the likes of the majority intelligence committee, are over 300 years ahead of the US military itself… but that’s not public information yet 🫠.

Ive heard countless stories from the first world war talking about people slipping into shell holes and getting poisoned from residual chlorine gas that was left over from a prior attack. Ive also seen training clips from the same period showing troops putting on gasmasks and then immediately jumping out of there trenches because thats where all the gas settles.
