I’m amazed that this video did not mention the other way cats use whiskers. They are sensitive to changes in air pressure. Masses create air disturbances and the “shock waves” can be picked up by the whiskers, giving cats additional information on motion and range.

what? They say in the video that cats are having trouble seeing stuff that's closer than 30cm. It gets fuzzy for them and that's when they use their whiskers.
Side note, whenever i played with my cat as a kid, with a peacock feather, my cat would continuously have her whiskers set forward... she really loved that peacock scent.

+Andy Belinsky the invention of the Dyson must have come about because of the great torrents of cat hair in his flat LOL
He looks nothing like James Dyson.
Wow, watch that cat's pupils at 1:06.
Say *no* to cocaine !!!
Yeah.....they went full on Mr Pickles.
They're taking in as much light as possible
Not sure but i can change my pupil to 70% during light conditions which should not happen
Autofocus.
2:04 “lets just take the toy away.”
Cat proceeds to play with the toy lol
Please add why do cats shake their hips before they go for the attack
Good idea. I think its to help calculate trajectory and to get balanced
I don't know, but I suspect it's the same reason my girlfriend does.
@kelly Lyons no tf😂
Native americans and many anxient people used to do dance before war or hunting, thata cat ritual
Fox In Bush Its called twerking
so kids, don't cut their whiskers again!
+Lucurous I'm glad to know this is a thing and not just something horrible that I did when I was young, I trimmed our cat's whiskers when I was about 13 and my mum was livid because of it and taught me that they need them to navigate small spaces. I just thought our old moggy's nose was starting to look like an old man's eyebrows and thought the cat would look nicer :/ I haven't done it since.
+Rob Fraser I did it too, no malice aforethought. You grow up seeing people pluck or trim unsightly hair and it's only natural you would extend that to cats!
When I was a kid I cut the whiskers and ate them 😅
my brother tried doing that once
Maybe just keep them under paralysis, living on a drip feed? ;)
My cat blind but her reaction fast
You probably pulled out her whiskers stfu
You probably fried her stfu
Your English not good but mine worst
Why is everyone attacking him in the replies lmao
@@guffawhyena4831 I just went on with it because it was so random lmfao
Cats are amazing, just like some perfectly engineered system such as stealth fighter jets: Stealthy, quick, agile, well armed, and full of state of the art sensors
Like a cuddly F-22 then?
Also comes in different colors...
And has poor colour vision
@@ivyme5783 i think the reason they have poor colour vision is because god gave them 24/7 night vision. only green and black, and maybe thats the reason they always sleep at the morning and become active at night. lol
Also, a bitch

Woah settle down with those lens flares J.J. Abrams.
whoa
No, no.
You're thinking of Michael Bay.
@@FierceDeity_64 Michael Bay is the explosion guy. JJ Abrams the lens flare dude, so he / she got it right :D
@@FierceDeity_64
No, no
He's is thinking of precisely the correct person.
You have no idea what a lens flare is do you?...
@@sergeantbigmac Yeah, you're absolutely right.
1:30 The video editor to the producer
“How many lens flares do you want?”
“Yes”
All hail our feline overlords.
yusss human slave your a smart one
Smarter than you :p *you're
They're *purrfect*
The only reason why cats don't try and eat us is because we're bigger than them
Eclipsen Gaming lol I beg to differ. My cat keeps trying to eat my brother, who's so much bigger than me. Meanwhile he thinks twice before messing with me.
Doesn't that basically apply to every single carnivore and most omnivores? Basic common sense.
Platonic Love um.. No. A proper domesticated dog will never try to eat the master, regardless of size
Eclipsen Gaming And where is your evidence for this? Are you saying a cat would eat a baby?
Cat is humans best friend idiot.
My dog always asks for food and my cat didnt even I what I gave him, he always had leftovers, he was a honest and modest animal and a loyal friend.Go get a cat and then comment. You can say that my dog isnbt dressed but I havent dressed my cat either and he never needed to be dressed or washed or taken out he only wanted my atention and I gave that....I only hope it was enough to pay him for all the joy he gave me. He was a true friend.
0:53 man I live for these butt wiggling moments 🥺❤️❤️😂
Deadly butt wigling
Twerking but with a use
I love it when cats move their body but not their head.
Serena Schmitz the butt wiggle :3
Wow.. i actually learned something from this cat video, i did not expect that to happen as i had cats for well over 20 years.. whiskers on ankles? Crazy..
Never noticed that either lol!
I’m amazed that this video did not mention the other way cats use whiskers. They are sensitive to changes in air pressure. Masses create air disturbances and the “shock waves” can be picked up by the whiskers, giving cats additional information on motion and range.
Did anyone hug their cats, or watch this with their cats nearby? Because I do
I thought you EAT cats.
Quang Nguyen Trung me everytime I watch cat videos
I bet my cat is watching this right now
Ever since i saw how a girl streamer got her eye cut by her cat i dont put my face near any cat, ever
my cat is right next to me, sleeping
That first cat is beautiful!!! 😻 those eye contrast so beautifully against the fur!
Too much cuteness i cant hold it when i see cat, even when the video slowmo look at his innocence
Cat have their whiskers above their eyes and ankle
Me: Meow meow meow kitty kitty kitty come here Imma check your ankle whisker
It is heretical if you didn’t know that!! :o
@@GGrev So what are you waiting for? Bring brushwood!
I didn't knew that either and had the same reaction as you lol !
How come they never teach this in schools? It's far more interesting.
Hiba Sobh It's not important though. I mean neither is 80% of what they teach but this is less important.
Because why would we need to know this lol
Hiba Sobh when are u ever gonna need this information?
Because apearantly learning mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell is more important than learning about a creature alot of people interact with everyday
OnceUponATimeNotLongAgo IWasAHoe ah yes, because everyone needs to know that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. Half the stuff we get taught is useless, but the things we need, like knowing how to do taxes, arent taught.
"Let's just take the toy away for just a second.."
Kitty: No! *Plays with the toy anyway*
Best 4 mins of trivia learning shit on youtube. Well done youtube recommendations you didn't fail to mesmerize me this time, as for the past you'd always had
That's a beautiful Bengal. I've always appreciated the breed, but almost 2 years ago, I had a 5 week old Bengal kitten find me when he was very sick and I have a whole new appreciation for them.
Would have loved to hear the cat's opinion about this.
Lol yeah.😂
Cats are just great things
I have a test to study for but no cat whisker facts are way more important i mean duh, right?
true
All of the cats in this video are gorgeous! Like every one of them I was like, wow! What a beautiful looking cat. And fascinating to learn about too.
so these fellas are using their whiskers as 'spectacles' to see object before their face!!!
Lol I love cats, this is the best job ever
Why are the bastards so friggin adorable??
Truth it, we’re adoring, not the cats. It’s in eyes of the beholder.
0:49 cute lil toe beans do a thwap on a flip-flap
By the way, the music playing in the background on the first clips was Flight of the Bumblebee
:/
Oh my god I was so focused on listening what’s said and watching what’s happening on screen that I didn’t realize
I hope a royalty was paid to the Estate of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
It's a little off the cat topic, but you should check out the youtube channel "Davie504". He has a video where he plays "flight of the bumblebee" on an electric bass and it's very impressive.
Martin McComb I’ll check it out
The most beautiful and amazing animals in the nature.....
Oh wow, I didn't know that about their eyes
QueenWeezy™ I thought they always saw stuff from far away. Apparently not?
what? They say in the video that cats are having trouble seeing stuff that's closer than 30cm. It gets fuzzy for them and that's when they use their whiskers.
***** I know, it baffles me...
It's amazing to see on the video, the cat just blankly staring off somewhere, because it can't focus if it tried... looks really weird, lol
incredible footage
So no one is going to talk about the `flight of the bumblebee’ in the background
Huh!
cats are amazingly awesome!!!!!
Side note, whenever i played with my cat as a kid, with a peacock feather, my cat would continuously have her whiskers set forward... she really loved that peacock scent.
So amazing. How each living being has been designed perfectly. How did the design get there? Who ever put it there deserves our credit. Can't be none because its beyond our understanding therefore means there has to be a purpose.
This "a cat's eye can't see more than 70fps" myth again. I bought my cat a 144hz monitor recently, her K/D rose to 1.43 from 1.28 and she doesn't even want to look at her old 120hz monitor. Whatever you throw at a brain, it will process everything.
yo but that input lag
Really bad K/D
I know he rekt me in 1vs1
Cats are cute. Nuff said. 😌
How their back-ends start getting ready before the pounce while the head stays still 🤣🤣🤣 They are lovely beings.
I love cats!!😍😍
+rickiex Me too
theyre so amazing! i cant wait to finish school, because the first thing i do is to adopt one! YES!
rickiex I have a cat and they are awesome pets: D and I'm so happy you are adopting one instead of buying : )
Sina Baur yes! adopting is so much better, cats whos been alone and homeless are the ones who need the most loving!
