@moo I'm not sure the added weight is the most important aspect (even tho it must have an impact, especially if you put a lot of butter). The stickiness of the butter is more important IMAO: if the butter hits the ground first, it is likely to stick and remain that way ; however when the dry side hits the ground it will likely bounce (and might flip, then land sticky-side first)

Yes, the cat effectively separates their body into 2 oppositely rotating cylinders which allows it to "push off itself" basically. Two, it pulls its legs in or out at the proper time. You can see this movement beautifully when your cat falls from a height. It looks like a spastic flicking movement of half the body in normal speed. You'll see the front twist to face the ground, then quickly the back follow. It's incredible!
