  • I've been using both ‪@mcpro24fps‬ and ‪@MotionCam‬ for a good year now and I use them both professionally almost every day. But, assuming you could only keep one - maybe this video can help you choose which app is better for you.
    But, for real - use both.

    Really cool thoughts, Andro! Let me add another perspective on the situation with these two camera apps. I believe that mobile cinematography is also about accessibility for videographers. And proper RAW shooting usually requires flagship devices with powerful processors and huge amounts of memory.
    At the same time, mcpro24fps allows even mid-priced devices to capture a picture as good as RAW using the right Log profiles. There are a lot of movies on RUclips that have won awards at world film festivals and they were shot on mcpro exactly in Log. So RAW shooting is about "adult" movie cameras like Backmagic etc. But for those who really need to shoot professionally on Android, Logs and mcpro24fps are a great choice.

      mcpro24fps is better than MotionCam?

    • @AndroMatthew
      @AndroMatthew  Год назад +1

      It depends, visual quality-wise - motioncam is better. But mcpro24fps is much faster/easier to use, if you take that into account, mcpro24fps can be better for your needs.

      @@AndroMatthew I've seen some other reviewers showing motioncam and it's mind blowing... no noise at all.. well my brand new S22 Ultra 256gb is coming.. I think at least 200gb will be available.. and I plan to shoot 20min videos at maximum.. I hope its storage is enough 😢

      @@mayaiconpack you can render with noise reduction, but if you use the appropriate iso with the main camera, you won't need noise reduction. The s22u is great for motioncam 😁 enjoy! 🔥

    I like your videos. I still to see and android content creator talking about the new implements on Android 15.
    Since they will let 3rd party apps access all camera features, including "eyes free" for stabilization.
    I hope that this will be a new era for Android,professional videos...add to that the release of Blackmagic app for android..
    Cheers!

    In my opinion motion cam can't be beaten. You can record in app and render in normal Rec709 and the quality is unbeatable. Little bit of color grading and you get the best quality ever. Doesn't need to be DNG,main point of everything is that no camera shit is backed into sensor,no sharpness,no saturation etc.

    Really nice thought..I've been trying a lot of apps to bring out the best out of mobile fon cinematography..heres my take,i eliminated kine master, and moved to lumafusion.. i eliminated filmic pro and any other pro cam apps and sticks with mcpro24fps.. my fon does support 10bit, and high bitrate..so ,im more than happy with those two apps..both recording and editing apps works seemless for me..

    Hey, when I am recording video using the app everything looks amazing until I start moving or walking. As soon as I walk the footage starts lagging and being choppy. Is it a issue of shutter speed or an app problem? Could you help?

    Mcpro24fps was a total waste of money for me. The quality isn't that much of an upgrade from native app on my Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Crashes all the time, heats up and kills battery like crazy. Can't rely it on for anything. Nevermind 60fps. I can shoot 60fps DNG RAW on Motioncam without frame drops by pixel binning. I can upscale back to UHD in post if I need. The only problem (and it is a MAJOR one) is that Motioncam doesn't have the option to turn on digital stabilization (which fixes the horrible readout speed of all telephone cameras on all smartphones). As a result, I have to use gyroflow to stabilize and fix the rolling shutter/jello effect. If Motioncam allows the option to turn on digital stabilization (like Mcpro24fps does) then there won't be a need to fix the rolling shutter in post.
