I really enjoy watches and that's why I started this channel so I could review them regularly but my satisfaction is not found in owning or experiencing watches, no matter how many I may accumulate or how luxurious and expensive they may be . . .
Wise King Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 5:10 "He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity."
The truth is, material possessions of any kind, money, power, etc. never can and never will satisfy our hungering souls. Only knowing, loving, and serving God can truly satisfy.
The only way we can have a real relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe, is through the Lord Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God.

Through Christ's sacrificial death on the cross, for my sins and your sins, and His resurrection from the dead we can have peace with God (Romans 5:1), forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:43), eternal life (John 3:16), and so much more!
In Christ, we can know true joy now and for all eternity.

Classic example where you simply shoudn't touch something that is already perfect. The "old" Nighthawk is so timeless and originally designed, they will never make a watch like that again.
Great comparison! I like the old one more. I have the Blue Angels version but also want to pick up the original one while they are still available. The original bracelet is awesome.

I like the more flieger styling of the new however I do like the raised look of the old dial
secret specs: the slide rule crown is actually better for lefties! learned how to use the circular slide rule, comes in super handy when calculating tips, splitting bills, converting currency! still can use the arrow as a timer so definitely beats a diver’s bezel. wish they did more colors besides blue angels.
Much prefer the old nighthawk. somehow they've managed to make the new one more busy. and IMO applied indices > painted in general Great vid!!!!

Love my new old one. Just got it last week. Great watch and the original bracelet is even better than that mesh one you had on it.

I have the Blue Angels version of the old one. Blue dial with yellow accents. Totally love it, and agree with you on all points. The old one would be perfect for me if it had the new ones 12 o'cock arrow instead of the 12

This watch is a great everyday watch. I would love to add it if i got rid of others in my collection to make room.
Wish you could measure the crystal. I know they make one for the old one, but the new one looks great and would be nice to see if it can be upgraded.

I prefer the new dial more. I don’t know why the crown for the new version needs to be downgraded. No screw down crown is a big turn off for a sporty watch

The new one is nice but they gussied it up a bit too much for what it is. The original maintains a more rugged, industrial look. My original Nighthawk came on the bracelet. Nice quality, fully milled. Seiko really needs to take notice 😁. For the price, the original is a steal. Great video Josh. Did yours come on the mesh?

I like the new Nighthawk, however few things I would change before I buy one are: do away w the second crown and just use the bezel to rotate the outer dial inside. Also, Citizen needs to start using quick release bracelets and screw in pins, vs the crappy ones that come w the watch. Also, maybe throw in a strap w a quick release. One last thing, improve on the lume. I have the older one, and while it's a great watch and I love it...there are times it is hard to see.

I prefer the old one and I have the blue Angels edition. I know I have three blue angel edition Citizen models. Including the original C650 Skyhawk(Early 2000s release and found it in mint condition). If they release this one in a blue Angels edition I won’t be able to resist getting it though😉 I really wish they would put sapphire crystal on these… And the mineral crystal just scratches very easily and it’s elevated above the bezel So it’s unprotected. Greetings from Germany. Waiting for my CB0245-84E. When wearing the (two) watches on the left wrist, is the newer model better when you want to turn the crown of the inner bezel with the right hand? Please excuse my bad English.
Thanks for watching and commenting. It's hard to say which one is easier in that respect. I think the old version might be slightly easier.
I just bought the original because I like the look. I think that the new version actually has the better bezel crown because you can operate it easier if you are wearing the watch. I think that may be the reason it is located where it is on the newer version. Also perhaps the crown moves less easily inadvertently? I know that was a complaint i've heard the original has.

Hi, where did you get the strap of the old nighthawk ?
Me i prefer the new edition because of the leather strap and bezel. I only wish the slide rule crown was on the other side because i wear my watch on my right hand or have made the bezel rotating . Just my opinion.
I pretty much agreed with you on almost everything. The only thing I like on the new nighthawk is the location of the inner bezels crown which would be easier to manipulate while it’s being worn. Other than that, the old one is better.

I just wish I found this video last year. My only option now seems to be the new one, though in my eyes,the new one still looks good, especially the overall case design, and the lug geometry is very pleasing to my eyes. I also like the Arabic numerals on the new one. Either way, this video still convinced me to get the new model. Still searching for the old model though.
