I have both watches. I love them both but like the Nighthawk best of the two watches.

Great comparison video. I think I prefer the Flighty, mainly because I like to have an external bezel with more of a tactile, easy to grip feel. But both of these watches are classics, and show that you can still get a lot of watch at thus price range.

Yeah I feel the Flightmaster is definitely the more popular of the two

I just got the nighthawk last week and it barely wears on my 6 1/2 wrist luckily, i was a bit worried about that. Very cool piece

Owned both and sold the Flighty because the dial felt too small and that the bracelet felt like crap. Also sold the Citizen as a repair project since the theads in the case for the crown were bad.
Missed the Citizen so much I bought it again.

I have both. But If I had to pick one it would be the flight master. I would keep it

My choice would definitely be the Seiko . I’m actually surprised that I haven’t added one of these flight masters to my collection yet . I agree with you that Seiko should bring this watch back as a solar Prospex watch 👍🏻💯

Yeah and they should add a few different colorways. I'm not a big fan of yellow :)

I own both. The alarm subdial on the Seiko can be used as a second time zone or GMT.

Is that a deliberate function or just a genius hack? Also, how does it work? I'm thinking of obtaining one. Thanks

Nelson: It’s in the instructions, though I got the idea from a RUclips video. The alarm/GMT subdial is set by pulling out the crown and pushing on the second stopwatch pusher. The subdial is only marked in 12 hours, so you need to understand roughly what the second time zone should be.

I much prefer the look and dial of the Seiko

I preferred the Seiko Flightmaster. It looks more appealing than the citizen nighthawks. The citizen one looks like the compressor gauge or bike tire pressure gauge.

I own a flighty, did consider the citizen but purely on looks the citizen is a bit more fashion watch. The seiko is a lot more usefull, though i will never use most calculations. Seiko is just the prettier and sits nicer on the wrist with the smaller lugs imo.Wasnt aware of the brietlinger at the time of purchase, so it dont feel like a homage/copy of a better watch, and given the choice again i'd pick the seiko over the brightlinger. Other watch is a seiko snk809 with a casio mw240 beater. good review.

I've been lucky with my Seiko Flighty.... my battery has not been changed since I purchased it new 8yrs ago! Maybe it identifies as a solar panel! 😅
Good video. I have both. The citizen is a little to large for me.
