- 👀 We review this Citizen aviator tool watch, being from the Eco Drive range it runs on light. It masterfully combines the ceramic bezel with the steel case and leather strap.
This Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Nighthawk GMT has awakened my interest in quartz watches.

I have one of these but a slightly different model. Mine has the yellow/blue colour scheme and Blue Angels colour scheme. And it is a fantastic watch, great conversation piece too. You covered all the good bits so I will concentrate on two downsides:
It looks like it might be a Traveller GMT, but no. You can't turn the date backwards like you need to do when travelling west. Not a big thing and I really like the way they did the 24-hour dial, using only half the dial.
The battery - do not believe the marketing fluff. New Eco batteries are nothing like old Eco batteries. If you leave this one in a drawer for three months, the battery capacity plummets. It's what happened to mine, so do not leave it inside a closed watch box. Leave it always in the light.
For comparison I have a 15 year old SkyHawk that I bought off a fellow who said it had been in a drawer for 5 years. I left it out in the sun for 8 hours and battery capacity is still what it said on the tin when it was new! These new NightHawks are not like that.
Yep, we will have to take a close look to the marketing around current eco drive tech. I think I will never keep my watch in a closed box to avoid that issue. Cheers mate for your comment!

As for the Citizen Nighthawk, I think this is an excellent pilot's watch, I own one and really like it. I also have the Seiko Flightmaster which is a classic and a very good one too.
I'm in love with the Luch single hand watch. I would like to add one to my collection, I just wish the case was made of stainless steel.

Citizen are awesome. About Vostok... i can not have a watch that has on the dial the communist red star. Just for my ideas as a liberal person. I prefer Luch watches like the Luch one hand. Cheers mate!!
