@@winkwink7318 Yes, they don't ever usually take the whole thing off unless absolutely necessary but they've never had to take mine completely off. They only just change the little colored bands on your brackets (to exchange an old color for a new color) and sometimes, they change the wires. They always take off the wires whenever you have a cleaning.

I was lucky enough only to have my braces for a year and a half. They were supposed to come off that July but I got them off before my high school graduation (mid May). It’s been a little over 2 years since I’ve had them off and it’s totally worth it. I really do feel for the ppl who have to have them on for 5 years

Braces with me for 11 months and only 2 months later they’ll be off✌🏻actually soo excited for..
lucky! I have my braces on now and i need 2 sets. right now i only have my top teeth with braces and that will be for 9 months then i get another set with both rows of teeth and i need those on for 4 years because my teeth are messed up bad lol

I will get my braces off this summer I don't know how is this feeling I am so exciting I wear them almost 1.6 years and also the thing that was painful was one of my teeth didn't come out so I did a surgery and now I have all my teeth done

Cant wait for my time to get my braces off in two years! 😂 I heard her say this is gonna hurt.. I know it’s not gonna. It probably feels like getting your braces tightened. Plus you know that your orthodontist doesn’t try and hurt you, they make sure you are comfortable and happy

sameeee my appointment is today and ive had them for 2 years. i was supposed to get them off last month but they found a broken bracket. i was told id get them off this month buttttt i missed a month of bands and idk if i will now ;-;

It's hard to keep your tongue still cuz the second a dentist looks in there your tongue becomes a Skyrim npc and begins searching for the giant drill

I've had mine going onto 9 years because of how messed up my teeth are as well as my jaw, I'm finally getting them off in April though so I'll be glad to get rid of them!

I have a question: Does everyone need to get a permanent bottom retainer? Or it’s only for some people?
Great question Amber and EVERYBODY needs to wear some type of retainers after braces ... unless you want your teeth to shift and not be straight anymore :( !!

I actually still have my bottom retainers on and it's been a while. My dentist refuses to take it off and I see why, most of my friends who didn't go through with this, have somewhat crooked teeth now while my teeth are still aligned.
I wish to have the permanent type as well. Seen my friends with removable retainers. The teeth shift easily without the retainer for the periods youre are required to use it.
Is teeth extraction necessary for a crowded tooth to wear braces? I've extracted 4 teeths. 2 in upper jaw and 2 in lower jaw. How much time accurately does it take to make my teeth alingned and allow me to remove my braces it's already been 6 months
