I am getting upper and lower braces (in England) but told the orthodontist that I do not want bite blocks because they will interfere with my speech and eating so i was told the lower brackets will go on later which acceptable to me (unlike not being able to speak and / or eat!).
For a second I thought thise were extra teeth, not turbos 🤣great video

Hi Doc! I'm hoping for some help. I've had braces for almost 18 months now and I noticed about 3 months ago that the bite turbos that were put on my back second molars on the top jaw have now caused my bottom second molars to push towards my tongue. My Ortho is in denial saying that it's not that bad since the inside notches of my teeth are somewhat lined up. Have you ever heard of this? Do you have any suggestions before I have my braces removed?
Hi, I just got anterior bite turbos done, and I literally cannot eat and speak properly. My dentist used this to prevent crossbite of my front teeth for braces. I was wondering if you could use posterior bite bumps to prevent anterior crossbite, because that would make my life so much better. Thank you very much!

my doctor decided on this on spot... he didnt even tell me abt it i would have done this research cause now i bit her wrong and my whole lower jaw hurts so bad

I got some bute turbos behind my front teeth about 18 months ago. My teeth arent even hittting itt at all anymore, so i dont know why my ortho is keeping them on.

What’s the difference between this and a bite plate
A bite plate would be longer and I believe that also expands the teeth
I have bite turbos and they feel so damn weird when i eat, And i have this tooth that is turned completely around on my bottom so when the bottom braces got put on they hurt like hell
Can bite turbos on the molars be used to also treat open bites?

Bite turbos are the worst, can't bite or chew foods.
I can tolerate pressure from braces, but turbos? Its the worst out of all treatment

I don’t have bottom braces because of my overbite
My bite turbos are a bit different they are blue and they go in my back teeth not the very back but near the back and it’s so I don’t bite off my bracket and apparently I grind my teeth a lot at night and so as soon as they put it in when I get up in the morning there basically gone 🤣 but it’s ok

you should ask your dentist for a dental guard to stop you from grinding your teeth
Okay I am new to your channel..I am 42 years old.. I will be getting braces soon..My teeth have overbite.. top teeth completely covers my bottom teeth .. If this dont work for adults..then what does work??..How can you eat with these? ...oh gosh. .I'm flippin out...lol

It takes a few weeks for them to be normal..
with my bite turbos for some reason my dentist made it so the gap is like really big so i cant even chew literally anything and i have to literally only eat soup. I also just got braces and they hurt like hell.

Please help! I just got these two days ago and now none of my teeth touch at all (not even my molars). My tongue is also super sore from where it's pushing into it every time I swallow. I have to keep this in for 3 months :( Is there anything I can do to ease pain on my tongue or manage to eat something?

i’m having the same exact problem! i woke up with a super sore tongue but it’s gotten better. it is almost impossible to chew but i’m sure with time it will get betrr
2 weeks later, it def gets better. I'm pretty much used to them now, and I stopped putting my tongue underneath them

So how long do turbos usually last?
We put the bite turbos and we usually need them for a couple of weeks around 2 months, but it depends!
i also got bite turbos when i got my braces, and i still have them (had them for a bit more then 10 months now) at the beginning i hated them because they gave me such a bad lisp and it just felt so weird but after the first week i got used to it and now i always forget i even have them.
but ive always wondered, when and how do you get them off your teeth again? hope someone can help me here and answer c:

I got my bite turbos today and it is hard to bite food. So I've just been drinking soups and eating yogurt. Hopefully I'm able to eat some real solid food in a week or two.

I do have the turbo bite. Can I not really bite a solid food? The turbo has been attached on my teeth for 3 days and am not comfortable in biting foods so I go with the soup foods. What food would you recommend
Hi my friend and for sure if you are not comfortable biting hard foods you can try to get soft foods or chop your food in squares and bite them with your molars better.... here are the foods that you should avoid at all:

I'm 6 months into wearing bite turbos and orthodontist built them back up today. Doesn't look like I'm getting them off anytime soon. I think my deep bite is slow to open. Plus I'm an adult so maybe not moving as quickly as a teenager's teeth would.

I have these! I call them fangs 😂 I don’t have elastics but my teeth seem to be getting closer together at the back so I can finally chew a bit lol how long till they get taken off normally?

I finally got them off like 3 months ago after having them on for 1 1/2 😩🤚 now i have elastics 😭 but i get my braces off next month 😏✨
Hey so I have these and I got them removed, but there are still little bits of it on my teeth. Will it stay there forever if they dont drill it all out? If so how can they drill it so jt isnt sensitive to where it hurts.

wow the condition of the teeth is quite tidy and I suggest for those who use braces to eat soft food because when we eat using braces our teeth will move and hopefully I can remove my braces as soon as possible because it hurts when tightened

Hi Colleague and sometimes if your patient breaks the turbos.... it might something that they eat .....but just try again same acid and bonding and try to cure it a little bit longer... and that would do it! Thanks for watching!

yes and no my friend.... bite turbos are only for a couple of months and we only need to lift the bite... the bite plate is used like that as well but if we need to expand the palate that would be the main choice.... Hi my friend thanks for you kind words!! and usually we put the bite block in the back for the patient to avoid brake some brackets in the anterior part...if you are not having issues contacting or braking brackets you are good!! :D

I have to wear mine for 6 months and i cant eat ive been crying all day
I am wearing mine too the whole time and trust me it will get better. It’s still hard to eat but only problems are to bite off sth. and That there is sometimes food between them. But you will learn how to eat with them

oh i have both, the front ones are terrible... i could barley talk, eat or anything. the back ones are super simple i got used to them after a day or two.. both dont hurt but the front ones are really uncomfortable
