Thank you, Jamie! NotebookLM is an impressive tool! I appreciate that it shows me where the information is coming from. For me this is very important. I don't like hallucinations :)
Thank you. As a medical student, I am always looking at ways to further engage with material. I have been waiting for about 5 minutes now as it generates the audio for one of my PDFs.... I hope it's good lol.
Love this. I try to connect between 2 unrelated things like Incentives Idea (from Munger, Buffett, Nudge Podcast, Naval, etc...) but this one simplifies the process & makes it much better/easier. You covered everything. Thanks so much!
I uploaded a slide deck i had to do. The podcast was a bit off target in minor areas but did grasp the concepts i conveyed. It was a trip to say the least.
If we could access/embed this within a website it would be super useful. You could literally build your own dataset and set up an interface to allow it to be queried using natural language. Like an “ask me anything”. That would be super helpful for any site containing a lot of data.
Very fun! One question though, can you change the podcast speakers? I hear those same two voices in different tutorials and I don’t want my stuff to sound like everyone else’s Thank you.
You can delete the podcast, include a new resource like a note to influence the new one and then create a new podcast. Remember to download the old podcast before.
Can it generate a RUclips script using say the top few videos in that niche…to create a new script? Would prompt it to ‘create a video script’? Would you you the brief doc option?
Hello, I made 3-4 notebook LM podcasts, and at first I enjoyed it, but then, it started to be sarcastic, critical and cynical... how come ?? How can they giggle on the topic~ Financial Astrology ~ blog, that I input ??
@@mauriciosolano9342 I mean, how can a machine have subjective "feelings" on the topic?? I know some people question Financial astrology, but a machine ??? come on... till that is fixed, I'm not going to use notebook ....
I'm guessing that many people would find the concept of financial astrology a bit laughable. Maybe it's going by the tone it has detected in other sources? @@GabyMittelman
Do we know if adding specific context for what we're hoping for in a "Source" can manipulate the Podcast/Audio outcome? ie: text about "use this tone in a podcast, label the podcast X, make sure you reference Y, etc."
Yes, there is a way around it. First, after you upload your PDF, start asking questions about its content. For instance, you might point out that the PDF should discuss the marketing and advertising strategy, which is not evident in the original document. Once you have identified these gaps, you can revise the PDF accordingly. After making the necessary revisions, you can copy the generated answers, paste them into a notebook, and create a new PDF. You can then upload this updated PDF separately. Based on this revised document, you could generate a podcast.
You could have said "If you'd like to work in light mode... watch out your eyes, since I will flash a big lamp onto your eyes on 3, 2, 1, now!... ". I was actually spot on that and closed my eyes... but, even with my eyes closed, I could see how bright it was. Please warn your audience before flashing a big flash light against them!
There are so many people who have not understood all the detailed work on the software architecture and claim "it's a RAG". You cannot create a podcast with a RAG, because it will give you the first x snippets to your question. This is not how you can generate a podcast.
Oh you sweet summer child, it's private they will not scrape your data like they have in the past several times. Be honest about that part and it's a good video.

This is the document management system I procrastinated on building. Glad I waited. Thanks!
This tool is one of the most useful and finely tuned, deterministic AI models out there. Great video! 👍
Thanks! 👍
Excellent video. Thank you.

Awesome!! Thanks for sharing and for the short tutorial.
@8:58, It appears that the podcast can be downloaded as WAV file, not as MP3. Maybe this will change.
Awesome content!
This is the craziest AI tool as of this date.. awesome for studying as a student.
I uploaded a slide deck i had to do. The podcast was a bit off target in minor areas but did grasp the concepts i conveyed. It was a trip to say the least.
Thanks so much for this ultra useful video, regards from Nicosia

I can not see the top of Notebook LM. The buttons for Help Me Create... Do you know why or how to fix this?
switch to full screen and you get the missing stuff on top of page
Really great video and a true AI helper! I wonder what it could do with the french or spanish notes I use to teach...
Super helpful tutorial. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice video ❤
This is so cool can you adjust the order of the chat after created. Or best to look at the summaries first to get the key topics
Thank you for sharing, very useful. can it created power points and its explanation? or any other tool that can do the same
Wait how many minutes approximately does it take to make a podcast?
Can I only do one "podcast" per notebook? I would love to find a way to do more than one!

Can I move the podcast to a learning management system?
Yes, you could download it as an MP3 then place it in the LMS.
@@TeachersTech Thank you!
Can you download the transcript of the audio?
Unfortunately not yet. You could download the MP3 and transcribe with another app.

not being able to retrieve URLs one has uploaded is a really fundamental flaw.
I can't find the notebooks that I created yesterday. How do I find them???
click on the heading on top left that says NotebookLM Experimental
this is amazing
Is this free to use?
good job
Can I add youtube video links?
yep. When you add a source one of the options is a link (either a website or youtube vid)
Upload source is not working for android device
Really good, but can it write code if i provide any docs?
Good question, I was trying to find info from reddit about this but came up empty.
@@TeachersTech well, i'll to write some code. Hope, it will work.

free RAG basically.

I was initially excited, but soon lost interest. The context of the podcast is not customizable in relation to the audience of the source material.
Thanks for the insights!
Cant you just add that to the chat and regenerate?
You can customize it by limiting what sources you include in your source section, you can also select or deselect sources
You can take the text output and punch it up with more facts and data. Then throw it into descript for a different take.
It is now, friend.
