This tool has completely transformed how I engage with complex topics. It dont 'do the work' for me; it allows me to truly interact with and synthesize insights from multiple papers simultaneously. It’s remarkable to have such a powerful resource at my fingertips. This is the first time I’ve felt that AI is genuinely redefining how we learn-and that change is here to stay.
Just discovered this last week. I can use it to review the novel I have written. As a new writer, I struggle to find encouragement, but this has shown the writing has even more depth than I had expected. The podcast output is stunning, and with only the first three chapters it has worked out what the book is about. I'm going to use that as a RUclips teaser for marketing the book.
I'm a scientist, a bionerd, so I write articles about our discoveries, so I'm trying to use the notebooklm to reverse engineer. I'll post a draft of the article and test to see if the AI asks similar questions I'd like to provoke in a kind reader. Or the kind of questions I expect a scientist or doctor to ask who might be interested in our article. If so, great. If not, and notebooklm suggests asking about bullshit and technicalities, the draft needs to be still reworked. Of course I have no proven success with this yet, I've known notebooklm too short a time to have had time to go through the whole review process. But so far it seems good to believe.
I’ve tested it today and it looks like an amazing tool to use with one major flaw which I hope Google could solve it soon There’s no chat record preserved after you close the chat; accordingly you lose all the citations extracted from your references even if you saved your note. Hope there is a solution for this problem soon !
Yes, it is amazing what it can do. And perhaps that creates a problem: It is so 'shiny' that it is easy to forget to ask critically how well it does what it can do. For instance I would not depend too much on the podcast trick to present real understanding of factual content; in my experience it often confabulates too much for that, and unfortunately we do not have an option to control how close it sticks to the actual information provided. Another very curious example: I recently asked it to summarize what happens in the gospel according to Matt - and it did so, without any reference to Jesus being born.! A major oversight, I would say..
Did you use the "Custom" button? Also, Google seems overly "woke" and overwhelmingly antagonistic toward anything related to Christianity if you have not noticed that already.
Fantastic breakdown, Kevin! I love how you make complex tools easy to grasp. NotebookLM seems like a solid addition to Google’s suite - finally, AI-powered notes! Do you think it could replace traditional note-taking apps? Many thanks
Okay I get that you'd like to have research papers summarized, but where's the fun in having books spoiled for you? I'd much rather just read them again if I ever forget about them.
Hi, thanks for the video. I made a podcast summing up one of my books, but it turned out too long. How can I shorten that podcast? Does it have to be redone? I don't know how to do that. When I go back to that pdf the audio option is not coming up, only the already produced podcast.
For report generation, upload your exemplar and then your own report. Ask NotebookLM for a comparison between the two with suggestions for improvement.
Cool use cases. Can't wait for those upcoming videos of yours about the upcoming features, one is called magic draft I think, and the second one is chatbot
Very nice video!!! Congrats... Im a personal trainer and Im interested in the Unexpected Use Case #1: Compile Scientific Papers. May you send the link of those aers you used?! tnks a lot!!!
This is an awesome tool! Hopefully stays around. I wish it had an iPhone app where you can listen to your podcast or create an XML to use with your preferred podcast app. I use Overcast, I am a premium subscriber, so it allows me to upload my own audio files. So, I download the Audio Overview from Notebook LM and upload it to Overcast.
Kevin, I share your enthusiasm for the Audio Overview tool. You have a 14.5 min Deep Dive in this video. Let's suppose you only wanted a Deep Dive that lasts 5 minutes. How can you tell the robots to do a 5 minute conversation about your topic? I tried using customize but I couldn't get a DEEP DIVE that lasted 5 min.
OMG..this thing is crazy i am trying it right now on this PDF on trading and they sound like an actual podcast..i been wanting to read this PDF for months and months..but it was so boring until now
Unfortunately I can't copy your youtube-Link to my notebookLM. Says because there is no script available. Obviously not all youtube Links work in notebookLM …
Thank you for sharing your experience and appreciation for the video! It's wonderful to hear that you found such a clear and comprehensive resource on Artificial Intelligence and Google Notebook LM. These kinds of detailed explanations are invaluable, especially in complex fields like AI.
RUclipsr: I will show you 6 cases to use Notebook in ways you never thought of! *proceeds to waste 10 minutes of our time going over what everyone has already been doing* Thank you for the clickbait.

Excellent presentation! There’s a lot about NBLM that is useful, but like you said, it is a research tool with some fancy features.
Your video style is perfect 👌

😎 👌 Cool
Amazon should set up something like this for all the books you've purchased.
Okay I get that you'd like to have research papers summarized, but where's the fun in having books spoiled for you? I'd much rather just read them again if I ever forget about them.
@@CaynesDub - Yeah, I'm thinking training and research purposes.
@@CaynesDub Read them again? then when will I read the thousands of new books that await my attention?
@@darylthomas7692 I think you'll find enough time to read the less time you spend on the Internet or on your phone. But that's true for all of us
Wow, this is an amazing product. I can see how useful it is. Thanks, David! Please keep the useful AI videos coming.

you have to delete the original podcast (Obviously save it first if it has any value). Then you can regenerate
You can customize the length of the podcast. Customize button beside generate button.
@@yoagcur Thank you. That's what I did, but it was generated again at the same length.
Kann ich damit meine W Seminar Arbeit schreiben lassen?
Nicely explained

@Kevin Sir please make a Tutorial on how to best use Lark ( A tool used for remote working). Soon if possible.

Hold on. What happened to Kevin?
He was abducted by aliens. 😂 LOL
He was assimilated by NotebookLM, now trapped forever to service the users.
Likely he was outsourcing his "work"
Is it just me or does this guy have reptile like eyes? Cos I can't be the only one seeing this
Just you 😉
Here I am! I'm trying to launch a channel based on this AI. I find it very fascinating
Im putting this video into notebooklm to learn how to use this thing.
Aahah not a bad idea!
@@ThoughtfulAlIt’s a great idea. I ask AIs for their best use in different tasks. The tips that I get have been beneficial.
