Path of Exile 2.3 Prophecy League Build Guide: AssReacher - The Tornado Shot Reach of the Council Bleed / Poison Assassin. This is likely the strongest build I've ever made - it is not just Tier 15 Map, Atziri and Uber Izaro viable, it shreds all of them. This is not a super budget build but it can earn it's own way with some budget gear options until you can buy Reach of the Council and Kintsugi. After that though it'll start making you currency like crazy. With this build Tornado Shot has shot right back to being the best bow skill in the game!

IMO the coolest part with this build is that due to slower proj it almost looks like playing a trapper with sunblast and reduced trap duration.
There's something feelgood with it.
I really like the slower projectiles as well, feels really satisfying. Not everyone does though ^_^
My biggest question is why the fuck was i playing diablo 3 and not POE :3

Really happy with this build - imo my best one ever. Which is pretty cool as when Tornado Shot first came out I made a really strong build for it then too. And now it's back in fine form! :D

It'd work but not as good as the other options we have that also scale bleed and base phys + poison.

Just to say this is still 100% viable from what I've gathered playing. Destroyed cruel lab at level 50 with 0 stress. Could literally stand and tank the boss with blood rage and decent use of potions. Brilliant build, thank you!

Amazingly fun and powerful build.
Did Uber Lab on first try with this at level 72 and forgot to use Ice Shot curse on hit on Izaro so had some sphincter tightening moments but nothing too scary :)
Then I decided to forego white maps completely and took him into a twinned Jungle Valley map and didn't even notice the bosses had arrived until after they died!! Too OP Ziggy!!

You, sir, hit the jackpot!!!This is the new meta for many archers even though my next build is something like your blast rain with more armour and life though. Regarding this build, I would take "Ice Bite" as the 5th link in chest for the possibility of gaining easy frenzy charges which I think is more beneficial than chain. Just a thought :)
Thanks god I finished getting all of my gear pieces for this in PHC right before this video came out. It was already a costly build but if more people knew about this it would have been so much more expensive >.> great video ziggy.

Even as a budget build, this build is very op. It's punches way above its weight in end game content. Having loads of fun cutting my way though content I did have trouble with before. A great build that anyone can get up and running easily.
Vaal Haste is nice to use, but I just wanted to point out that swapping it out with Vaal Grace for hard boss encounters can make a HUGE difference. With Vaal Grace, Atziri's step and the dodge/spell dodge cluster, you get maxed (75%) spell dodge chance and 72% regular dodge chance... on top of whatever your evasion chance is. You can frequently just face-evasion/dodge-tank everything then, as long as whatever it is can't straight-up one-shot you.
Anyway, thanks for the guide. I'm using this build (with small modifications) with a legacy Reach of the Council. Only issue is I probably am probably locked out of doing the Shaper due to immunities, thanks for that, GGG! Guess I need to make one of the cookie-cutter Shaper-killer builds if I want to do him. Yay for build diversity.

1.Depends on what you mean by viable. Good enough to clear content? Yea, it is but practically anything is viable in this game it is just a matter of efficiency. Don't expect it to be nearly as good as this video shows. After the nerf to the base phys this weapon is worse off than Death's Opus.
2. No.
Well, if you play in standard... still works fine, yea, no nerfs here :)

I have started with this build and my god is it epic!! I don't have a Reach of the council but it is still wrecking things! One of these days I will save up enough to snag a Reach of the Council, I just work too damned much. You are the man Ziggy, I have been watching your vids since POE beta and I was also an Alpha tester. Want to trade medical advice for a Reach of the council BTW? LOL if only I had enough time to work on hearts and play video games! OH THE HUMANITY!!!
You have to try the "of war" glove chants. edict will create 3 versions of the bow, which all get your ability to knockback on crit. pretty hilarious watching them go night at the roxxbury on bosses while you just sip your drink. they might bleed/poison/maim as well, but nothing lives long enough to tell

Reach of the Council is truly OP when it comes to Tornado Shot (i have a Brood Twine Harbinger on Standard and a decently rolled Reach is 40% DPS less but it doesnt cost 375 exalts and more... and the Damage is more then enough to kill twinned T15 Maps, Uber Atziri and Uber Lab).

Holy crap, I can't believe how much cheaper everything is now. Granted I've been away from the game for over a year (a bit before Ascendary), but it seems like supply and demand has been in a bit of flux since I left. Lioneyes Glare used to cost multiple Exalts, and Drillneck used to cost at least an exalt. But then again there weren't as many options for Bow builds back then.
I'm excited to come back and be able to afford the gear from this build since I do plan on starting back up in Standard to integrate myself back into the game and all the changes since I last stopped playing. Ziggy, do you have any videos for someone like me that's been away for a while that wants to learn of all the changes and familiarize myself with the game again?
Another cool bow to level with instead of Death's Opus would be Doomfletch Prism.
Reach of the Council is 25ex 5L. Drillneck is around 1-2ex (5ex for 1 additional arrow). Death's Opus is 4ex for a 5L. Rat's nest with + Tornado Shot Projectiles is 10ex. Kintsugi is 4ex for a 5L and 25ex for a 6L. Maligaro's and Facebreakers are pretty cheap. 20chaos for Mali's and less than that for FB. Shadows and Dust are 2ex. Hinekora's Sight isn't available at the moment. All prices are for Softcore Standard for those that are curious. (Also at time of upload)
Skyforths (what I'll be using) is around 35ex.)
Reach Prices are insane in Standard because the only supply is Hardcore players dying with them heh :) Thanks for posting prices in your league.
Kinda surprised about Drillneck. You'd be better off playing for 5 mins in Hardcore Prophecy, making 1c, buying one and dying with it than paying 1-2ex in Standard lol.
Very good point. I'm not good at knowing what items will sell, so it took me a day or so to get 5c to buy a doomfletch prism, but if I had a higher lvl character, I'd try to get as many "drillnecks" as I could, bring em to softcore and sell em. Only play on softcore, because that's where my friends play. >-
Ha, looks like we came up with pretty much the same build (I use Atziri steps and will probably try and grab an extra power charge). Wondered why drillnecks had suddenly got expensive. Still not managed a +1 arrow yet and my +2 projectile helm ate all my currency.
The Helm is a gamechanger though - I don't think it's optional if you want to unleash the full power of the build.
hay ziggy. might i recommend making annotations foe parts of the video that for quick refrence. like 1 that takes you right to the passive tree and 1 that takes you to the, when leveling part of the video. Thank for the build I have been waiting with bated breath for it
I've been using this build with Doomfletch's Prism, and it's destroying. Working my way towards Reach though

lol Ziggy D totally has a grip on the POE economy, when a build like this comes out the item of focus (the reach of the council) will skyrocket in price

Since poison meta, then bleed meta, the game keeps getting more and more broken. I always try to avoid playing such builds, because i am afraid that i will never want to play something less powerful and get bored of this game, which i don't want happening.
I suggest a Touch of Anguish Assassin for the next build. The AssToucher.
Will you be revisiting your heavy metal infernal blow guide as well? I started the game with that build and it would be nice to see how the new gems and ascendancy improves it.

Since you made this video, the price of a Death's Opus has gone up from 5-10 Chaos to a minimum of 18 Chaos...

The only thing I miss is the life pool which sits around 2700 for me :(
But can I use Faster Projectiles instead of a Slower ones? It looks like the difference will be 10% base damage with +20Q gem which does not seem like a huge lot to me. Or perhaps I don't know something about this?

First of all thanks for everything you do for the community (and for me in particular ^^).
I've got tediously my dual flametotem marauder to 92 and on my first council run got the bow. Seriously thinking of trying out your build.
Would you say this bow is totally worth spending my 6-linker prophecy on ? (the one where you get a 6 socket becoming full link only out of jewellers)
Sell the fated connections prophecy instead for 10 exalted. Then after you have sold that, sell your reach for around 4 exalted. Then when you have 13-14 exalted, buy a 6-link reach for 11-12 exalted or alternatively save the 10 exalted you got from fated connections and start saving for the extra tornado shot projectile helm enchant.
Owl Capone OK Thx. I guess best is then indeed to sell both bow and prophecy and buy a 6 linked one directly. Profit would be 1 to 2 ex. if all goes well. I'm not worried about the tornado enchant. I have the helmet already (not rats nest, the other one) so I'll just farm lab for it ^^ But you're right I should keep an eye on the price of enchanted helms. I'll go for whichever happens first : I get the enchant, or I get the dough to buy it.

I'm currently running a CoC Discharger with 100+ex worth of gear, would this be better if I invest just as much in the build or is it just a very good 'cheap' build? Would you mind comparing the build to other well known builds played in 2.3, that would really help me :) Great video as always!

This build has been fantastic through the atlas, up until the guardians. I just had my first run in with the minotaur, and with 6 portals whittled him down by a little over 50% health. I can probably take him down now after learning the mechanics, but DAMN that bleed immune of his is nasty, and the chimera is bleed AND poison immune... Is there anything you can suggest that could improve the situation?
I feel like they shouldn't have full immune to bleeds and poisons like this, perhaps a high resist instead. Without the ability to poison and bleed, the damage of this build drops like a sack of potato's. And with these evasion builds, the longer we spend in a fight, the higher the chance of getting one shot. We could be looking at tens of minutes for these fights.
Kind of strange to take the 16% phys bandit while skipping out on Sniper notable (proj damage also double dips in bleed damage). The extra proj speed is nice to make up for using slow proj and it's 15% proj damage per node, which is still efficient. I think I'd take the extra skill point. Also the skill point can help grab some notables like will of blades or extra power charge.
The two aren't mutually exclusive, I just haven't gotten Sniper yet ;)
Hey ziggy! It's that anyway to make this build more powerful, such as getting other items or anything that you can increased the damage output. Especially in breach league, it's that any new unique are more suitable now? Hope can get your suggestion! I love this build since you released this video!
Why no Arrow Dancing? I find that it generally makes me "porcupine proof." Is it because with Slower Projectiles you are generally closer to enemies? (Sure wish Ondar's Guile would come back.)

would this be a good league starter? I've tried ED contagion and blade vortex but they aren't really as much fun as I was hoping they would be.
i was having int problems even after taking the two +30 int nodes, i worked a way around that by refunding the int nodes and got the jewel slot above blood drinker with fertile mind and got 90 int from it. was able to get vulnerability to lv20 after that

Hey, is it an option to use the Slivertongue bow in this build someway? I am not sure how the "Arrows that Pierce cause Bleeding" interacts with the default piercing from tornado shot, but the combination with this and Noxious Strike and Toxic Delivery seem very nice

Been farming the uber lab with my void heart EQ Crit staff juggernaut marauder build. bleed is so stupidly broken right now that its kind of obnoxious. I got a reach of the council pretty early in the league but I think I may go try a prism build rather than do another assassin bleed build. Essence Drain was pretty broken as well this league with my occultist easily being able to take the uber lab sub level 79 due to my 40k degen plus 25% of monster life explosion damage.Anyways nice build. I may try doing something like this at the end of the league but i don't really take other peoples builds so it'll end up being its own thing in so way.

Why did you get a frenzy charge on the passive tree?
And is hinekora's a must for the build?

Nah Hinekora's is optional, I just quite like it on this. A decent life crit ammy is fine too. You run blood rage with this build and getting frenzy charges increases the power you get from that.

you run Uber Labyrinth, take a nice helm base (for example a Blue full ES Helmet for example a Hubris Circlet) with a good HP/ES roll and enchant it with something good like the Mentioned 2 Tornado Shot Projectiles. These helmets sell for Multiple Exalts and if you can Farm Uber lab like nothing you will make 10+ Exalts a day.
Uber lab rewards nerfed.Have fun making more than 1 ex per day now.

you dont get spammed that much with midnights anymore they are now mixed and less offerings too and you can get just low % gems too but its still worth it 5c for a key for a 5 min run + argus even if you just hit the craftingbases you will get the 5c back and you get additionl loot
No confirmed nerf, just rumors. Still very profitable.
I'm curious about why you choose "master of the arena" aside from 1% health regen, nothing else is useful for the build

Great build, I love crit TS, but if it's a softcore build why not run VP?
You're already grabbing enough leech, and from Dropping The three dodge nodes and phase acro, you would give you plenty to grab VP and a jewel socket.
Phase Acro is good for something like Atziri where it's a QoL boost on a phys build... however with close to 5k life, the ability to swap in a Kaom's, and instant leech, you would be able to facetank just about everything.
I'm biased because I love that keystone, but this type of build screams it for me.
He is running a lot of lab, and lab without regen is a bit of a pain. Also in general I hate running blood rage without regen.
Acuities would be good though...

I'm currently trying to run this build in hardcore, and I'm loving it so far just about beating normal, but at this point in the build I seem to be sort of a glass cannon and I've come close to dying a number of times. How are you able to gain survivability going through the different difficulties?

Ouch you definitely should have prioritized the +2 helm before going for a six link, it's more important for sure. It'll still be really good but the enchant is what makes it comparable to LA in terms of clearspeed especially.
So without the extra Tornado shot proj we should just stick to LA?

not if you are doing a poison/bleed character, as LA has 50% lightning damage which can neither poison nor bleed.

So I got to like level 60 with Death's Harp, Tabula Rasa and Drill Neck +1 arrow (which cost ALOT) when I realized I fucked up because the main items for this build are only available on Prophecy league..
