Be prepared to drill a few holes. Rack and pinion requires a 30 inch steering column. I had to do some mods to the steering stabilizer to get my double D shafts to work around my headers and still clear the upper shock mounts. Bit of modification to fit the inner wheel wells will be needed as well. Directions said to start with the middle hole for the shock mount, I should have listened as I felt the top hole was to low. Great kit.
Hey Lucky. Can’t wait to watch you install this big upgrade on the shop truck. Been enjoying your channel for quite a while from Houston. Thanks for the entertainment and insight.
So stoked for you! That's awesome! Christmas in April! Can't help but notice the Ford Galaxie Country Squire on the lift...🫣 looking forward to all this goodness! Thanks, Lucky Y! Have a good one! ✌️❤🙂🇨🇦
Love to hear a review of the difference from stock steering vs this kit. I'm installing the full Qa1 kit on the stock crossmember and will maybe upgrade down the road to the kit you just got. Just don't know how much better it actually is for that price. Thx for all the videos on the C10.
Hey Lucky that looks really cool I'm down in Tasmania Australia and am currently building my own shop truck . Its a 1968 c1o and I've been following your truck and have installed the same Qa1 suspension kit for both front and rear along with the chassis brace and more . I can't wait to see the install for the new cross member and see what difference this makes to the ride height . I have changed my truck from left hand to right hand drive with a Retro Rack installed for steering previously had left hand unisteer rack Cheers Danny
🍔🍔Great looking crossmember,LUCKY when I saw the setup you did on the rear I wondered if its possible to use the locating holes just for positioning and then plug weld the rest to cut down on all the bolts for a cleaner install on the front as well?
Do you know if the sway bar hardware and links were part of the crossmember kit, or was that smaller hardware box ordered separately? My front crossmember kit came in today, but it was missing that hardware box you have at 6:30. I’m not sure if the two boxes in it are what I should have or just the one larger box in there. Hopefully that makes sense.
1973 c10 installed qa1 coil over kit front an rear, have a drivability problem. truck semes to twitch after steering input. using stock crossmember an steering box. Have you experience this? please let me know. thanks
when i torque down the lower control and upper control arm nuts the castle nut sits much lower than the pin whole to the point where its useless nut n pin, would a washer work ? different nut castle?
Good Morning Lucky ,Looks like a Wonderful kit !! Going to look into the same kit for my 68 C-10 ! What is the Approximate Cost of this kit?? Hardly can wait until you do the install kit !! Thanks Again Jesse VIA LAS VEGAS

Steve Smith from QA1 was a big help on my build.
I had one of those POL P.O.S. rack and pinions , now it's a $1,000 part sitting on a shelf.
Having bump steer issues on my 67 with the stock setup and CPP control arms. I look forward to your install video.

I now understand why you went to Vegas a few months ago. 😁 Project capital. 💰
I’m excited to see how it works, I wish you could have done before and after testing from stock to show quantitative improvements

Will you be selling your old stuff off the C10?

Only person I’ve seen to open boxes and not have a knife at hand.
While this really cool and all. I wanna know more about the Blue 66 Chevelle in the background.
Big job
I know the 67s can be a little unique. Does this kit differ from newer ones or need modified more than them? I’m building a 67.

How much did that kit cost you Lucky?
It’s fairly priced and my 67 c10 drives better then my Silverado now
Are C10 have somthing in common, thay both have Black tail gates!
Why not 60 to 62 ?
Kit looks good. I recommend you carry a pocket knife.
Thanks!
I've seen this on TV it takes like 22 minutes to install
With or without commercials?
Good one
Personally I blame squirrels.... and brains mustang
You’re not supposed to read those, that’s just extra packing material
Thanks!
Think about investing in a microphone
So easy a caveman can do it! 🤣
Well??!! ;)
Sorry but these kits are just way to expensive to bare!! I can’t believe what they are getting for this type of stuff!!!
All good but they are amazing quality!
