I JUST bought 2 tissue culture plants of the Thai Constellation Monstera. (My first experience with tissue culture and two gives me better odds 😅) but I've seen allot go wrong with the albo; both online and people in my personal life. So I did a bit of research and decided on this one. Not only do I love its variegation pattern but also that it seems to have a more stable variegation. I'm still new to plants, and it's my first variegated monstera, so we'll see how that theory/idea (based on all the videos and reviews I've seen) holds up.

I bought a small highly variegated seedling for about $80 5 months ago. It took a few months to start growing after being shipped and me changing the substrate but I’ve gotten 2 new leaves over the last 2 months (one per month). The newest leaf is more than double the size of the last. I’m blasting it with a sansi light about 12 hours a day though so that might make a difference. Such a gorgeous plant! 😍 Love these videos!

I got my Thai Constellation as a little baby with no splits in a 4 inch pot about 8-9 months ago. I've repotted a couple times and it stayed outside all summer. I've now got some large leaves with splits and holes. It's inside for winter now, but still pushing a new leaf.

@@Houseplantygoodness out of curiosity, how many of your semihydro plants are in non-reservoir setups? What is the advantage of doing this over aroid mix? I thought the whole point of semihydro was to have plants that don't need to be watered as frequently because of the reservoir. I asked because I've destroyed a couple of plants via root rot in semihydro 😢

I have a juvenile thai con in lechuza pon and it has been putting out about 1 leaf per month. It's up to 7 leaves now, and I have lost none. I keep it under a strong grow light, so that probably has something to do with how quickly it seems to be growing.
