I've had mine for several years, and it is an awesome unit. I believe it's superior to Keirig because it makes coffee faster and more efficiently. It stores nicely under my kitchen cabinets, and I just simply slide it out a bit to use the K cup side, which I end up using more than anything else. High-quality product.

What is your favorite coffee?
This is my 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker. I like them, especially their carafe pouring; it doesn't spill. My last one was 14 cups and this is only 12 but that's fine. We got it for the k cup option. One problem, with every coffee maker we bought each one that we got has a smaller and smaller area to pour in the water. This one is so tiny it's hard to aim, I almost need a funnel to help.

Water is shooting out of the front of it, So I was troubleshooting it and found a rubber washer in the bottom of the basket, but don't know where it goes. On the K-cup side

This machine was epic. It lasted 4 years and 2 months before the lid on the K-cup side snapped in 1/2 from lifting it. I ordered a new machine, this time, The Ninja. No more k-cups for me. It still,Ames a single serve, just doesn’t need the k-cups to do it. Bonus, Ninja has a milk frother. I’m stoked to try it.
Bought one of these from goodwill for $25, just had to buy the pot which was $12. I’m cleaning it now but had no idea how to start this thing. I got it working, thanks!!!

I recently purchased the Cuisinart Coffee Center. I love the taste and temperature of the coffee on the pot side. The K-cup side seems to always be bitter regardless of the ounces selected and it cools off in the cup very quickly.
Is the Keurig K-cup any better than the Cuisinart K-Cup as far the taste/bitterness and temperature? Thanks!

Question.. my husband and I have the very old version of cuisinart’s grind and brew. It just died recently and lasted us at-least 9 years although we lost track. I’m considering buying this one. I noticed the glass coffee pot and the actual grind piece look extremely similar to the old model I own. Do you think we would be able to use an older model pieces? Or they have changed the style? Thanks!
After only a year, the standard coffee maker side stopped brewing, and believe me, I've tried to clean it with both vinegar and CLR. I believe the pump on this side has gone out.
I seem to be missing a part. the coffee maker came with the single serve coffee insert, but I can't find an insert for the k cup. I'm looking for an insert that has a needle on the bottom, but non came with the coffee maker nor does one appear on the box picture other than the single us coffee insert.
Very good review. I just got this coffee maker for Christmas and it makes great coffee on the pot side. But most of the time when I try to make a hot chocolate on the k cup side it flows all over the counter dripping everywhere. I had the insert in. I’m using a company that had great reviews for it coffee and hot chocolate. They are k cup compatible and cuisinart compatible. I have cleaned up the entire coffee maker for the fourth time and I’m getting a little frustrated now. Only one time did it make the hot chocolate without dripping everywhere.
Unfortunately this is a common complaint with this coffee maker. When you have a coffee k cup in the water flows through a lot better but when you have a hot chocolate it seems to make a mess. not sure what to do though.
@@JustADad well I guess we will try the actual K cups hot chocolate next time. The one we are using right now is just delicious with all different varieties of chocolate but we’re having to open them up and pour them into the cup and then put hot water on top of them. Because if I don’t do it that way it makes a mess. If the K cups do not work with the hot chocolate I guess will have to do the same thing. But it works beautifully with the K cup style coffee. Like you said coffee is not a problem. Anyway other than that I love this machine.
This happen to me a few times and I noticed that I have to very slowly close the lid. You'll see that if you close it normal it makes a big pierce in the kcup plastic top. That's why it overflows. When I close the lid very slow and push down lightly I opened it and checked thw pierce and it was a very tiny hole. The kcups did not overflow that way. If ever the hole is pierced wide I just open it and dump it in the reusable kcup. It does get annoying that I have to go through that after spending all that money lol.
I have same coffee maker. The single serve isn't heating water - only brews cold water. The other side heats quite well. Any ideas?

All these fancy coffeemakers are a risk for reliability. You do get toys, but I read so many complaints. If you care about a coffemaker lasting forever get a bunn pourover :lol:. That is what they use in coffeeshops where they make money from it. Noting brews faster either.

Great review. Had a question after your coffee carafe was done brewing and it was on ‘warm’ and then you switched over and ran the k cup side- I noticed the brew/warm light went off on the carafe side. After kcup finished- the carafe side went back to light up the ‘brew’ side but the ‘warm’ side looks like it shut off. So if it was supposed to be warming for lets say 2 hrs on the warmer plate did it (warmer plate)completely shut off cause you decided to run the kcup side? Thanks
Sorry about this. I must have hit a button. The warming plate will stay on even if you do a K cup. Not sure what I did in the video, but I just checked mine today and the warming plate stays on.

Can the the power switch (on the side) be left on permanently? I’d never remember to switch that off after each brew.
Yes, that is how you are suppose to use it. leave the main power on.
Thank you for your video. I understand the coffee maker more now. One question, I after understand that after the brew cycle it goes to warm, for as long as you want it to warm. But, after the assigned warm cycle my maker beeped. Does the coffee maker automatically shut off or do I need to shut it off?
Yes it will automatcally shut the warming plate off.

Back to the question, did it shut just the warning plate off or the whole machine. It seems like after the warm cycle the machine outsell stood on until I actually shut it off.
@@djr1639 the machine has options. It can shut off after completion or it can hold the carafe hot for up to three hours. There is a switch position called auto off
I have a question, I just got the Cuisinart and for the kcup can i use the Dolce Gusto from Nescafé. I’m having a hard time and it not working for some reason. 😕

I have had my coffee maker for about 2 months but the lights on my K-cup side do not come on and I can't make a cup of coffee from that side. Do I need to return the coffee maker or is there something I can do to make it work.

My water tank leaks all over my counter. I have check to make sure it's inserted correctly....still leaks! Suggestions?
HUMM, is it the water tank on the k cup side. there is a check valve that prevents water from coming out when its not installed. can you see were the water is coming out. I would lift the tank up and down a bunch and see if you can see anything in the small hole that the water goes into the machine.
Any thoughts why so many reviewers have difficulty on the single serve side with it overflowing the grinds and making a mess? I just bought one today.
Not sure, Make sure you are only using one filter type, either a #4 cone paper filter or the reusable permanent cone filter. you can not use both at the same time. make sure you are only using 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup you are going to brew, 12 cup = 12 tablespoons. make sure the Carafe has its lid on and it is under the filter basket. The Carafe or coffee pot has to push up on the plunger in the bottom of the brew basket to let the coffee come out of the brew basket. sometime the pot can go in and not sit exactly where it should and then it might not let as much coffee out the bottom of the filter basket. Other than that this is a very simple and proven coffee maker from cuisinart, The coffee maker side is there standard they have been using for a long time, so I am not really sure. Let me know how it goes with yours.
Also make sure you are using Medium ground coffee, that is what comes in most bags of coffee or cans. If you are grinding your own coffee make sure it is a medium grind. a too fine of a grind will not allow the water to flow through it and that will cause a backup in the filter basket.
I am on my second coffee maker of this type and mine would occasionally overflow with the grinds. I found that it was not seating in and so when you closed the lid the rubber gasket (not sure what it is called) around the needle would plunge in the cup, opening a big hole and causing all the grinds to spill out while brewing. UGH. So now I just push the kcup down to make sure it is pierced and seated and then close the lid. Hope this helps

too fine of coffee grind, too much coffee, make sure the carafe lid is on and pushing up the plunger in the bottom of the filter baset

Does anyone else have an issue of coffee grounds occasionally getting in your coffee from the single serve k-cup side? It doesn't do it very often, but occasionally it will ruin my k-cup and get coffee grounds in my coffee.
Sometimes. it helps if about once a week you do a fresh water rinse with no k cup in. and sometimes I have to remove the lower needle basket and clean it with a brush.
I had that problem on both sides. You really can't fill it with enough coffee to make 12 cups or it will run through.
@@AlexSantos-ts1jb I ended up contacting Cuisart and they sent me a new piece that holds the k cups. It works perfectly fine now. I would contact Cuisart if you are having issues, they will help. Don't just continue to use a defective unit. They will replace it for you if they have to.
Is there a way to get hoter water out of the k-cup side?
Sure, just don't put a k cup in and press one of the oz brew button and hot water will come out, it might have some flavor of coffee in it from the Needles but if you do this a couple times it will clean them and it should be just fine.
My filter always overflows. Both the metal one and the paper filter. And so the grounds always end up in the pot. Not sure what I am doing wrong?
This has happened to me before as well. When you place the plastic filter holder into the machine you have to pay close attention to the notch on the outside of the filter holder. This has to be aligned with the cut out in the filter holder tray. Once the filter holder notch is aligned properly with the notch in the holder tray be sure to press the filter holder down gently into the tray until you hear a click. Then you know everything is in its place, and you can fill your coffee and start the brew. What this click does is ensure that the brew stopper on the bottom of the filter tray gets depressed against the lid of the carafe so that the brewed coffee can flow freely out the bottom of the filter holder tray and through the lid of the carafe. I hope this helps you. Once I figured this out, I came to love this coffee maker.

@@pom11pom so when you open the lid on top is there any pooling of the water in the coffee filter? If so, perhaps the coffee is ground to fine. The cuisinart coffee maker uses a medium-fine grind. You probably already knew this, but I just thought it may be one more thing to check.
@@charleswinner6805 That's exactly it. There is a pooling of water in the coffee filter. I never thought of the coffee grounds being too fine. So, I just tried a different coffee and it was much better! It's still not perfect. I had to lift the filter basket a little and shake it. Then it worked. So, again, not perfect but I can actually use it now. Thank you again for the recommendation.
Can someone tell me why I only get about 3 cups of coffee per serving every time I use it even tho I fill it up to 8 cups of water.
No, I am not sure why, How old is the machine? is the blue brew button turning off?

I would try to take it back or call Cuisinart 800-726-0190, I think another viewer had a similar problem and Cuisinart customer service was very helpful. Let me know how it goes.

Has anyone had an issue with the Kcup side not measuring correctly?? My 10oz comes to 7oz. Also it steams and spirts a lot more than I've seen others on the videos. I have only had it since Thanksgiving....

Do Not buy this coffee maker!!!! Both the basket overflows, (the company sent us a replacement basket. ) but the K-cup maker, explodes the K-cup Every single time! It makes such a big mess, coffee grounds every where! Takes about 20 minutes to clean it up because of all the little nooks and crannies in the k-cup compartment! FAIL!
