I bought the Walmart unit. I have been very happy with it. I haven't had any issue with the slide out/in basket. The one feature that it appears none of the models have that I miss from my Cuisineart brewer is the beep signal when the brewing is done. After watching your review, I'm glad that I went with the lease expensive unit as I don't see $50-$80 extra expense as a great value to upgrade to the next model up. Thank you for your thorough review.
This is exactly the video that I've been searching for. I've had the same Keurig machine for, I don't know, 11 or 12 years? It's one of the original models, the ones notorious for having mold grow in the water lines. Anyways, I drink more coffee now than I used to so I've been wanting to look into a different model. Was just going to go with a traditional coffee brewer, but my wife was insistent that we get another Keurig as she still uses ours a good bit to make cappuccino and such. So one of these would be exactly what we need, that way I can make a pot of coffee and she can do her K cups. Had no idea that there was 3 different models, and I saw another one that said Special Edition on Amazon, not sure if it's different than all these or what. But your review is great, you did an excellent job of going in depth and really breaking down the differences among the 3 different units. Very informative and I think you helped me narrow down my choices. Either will go with the regular K Duo or the Plus. Leaning toward the plus but there's definitely some questionable design choices in that model.
Have had a couple of the first ones and they didn't last very long. The one thing I noticed is the first one had something to control pouring the coffee. The two we had didn't have anything to control how it poured.
This is an excellent review! I think having to remove the carafe of the one the left to use the k-cup is a huge design flaw. While the maker itself has a smaller footprint, you need room for the carafe to sit on the counter. We use k-cups 90% of the time, so that would really be a pain. I have owned a duo in the past, and did not find the reservoir so difficult to remove, and just stepped over to the sink with it. One hand on each side and it removes easily. I was attracted to the lower price of the one on the right, but the price difference is not that great, and I like the "strong" feature of the others, and dislike the basket "track" on this one, so the middle one is the clear winner for me.
Thanks you so much for your video, I just got the middle today. I love that I could do single kcup and carafe when I have guess. I had the single one & it was to much work, when I had company over. Thanks again ❤️
Great job on this detailed informative video. Thank you. My son just got the middle kurig in your demonstration. I’m wondering…can you program or auto brew Into a 16oz travel mug? Or does it only auto brew into the carafe?
Thanks for Watching and your kind words!!! you can only program the Carfae to come on in the morning. The smallest size you can brew is 6 Cups. That might be alot for a travel mug. If you travel mug can hold 6 cups then yes you could brew it right into the travel mug. Unfortunately this will not allow you to brew the k cup in the morning automatcally.
Now that the K-Duo Plus is available in many places for about $165, I think I shall have to get one. I prefer the insulated steel vessel, but, if people need to see their coffee, they're probably going to drink it right away, anyway, and can always use a tall glass carafe. 😆
One of my questions was water reservoir capacity. I want big as possible so I don't have to fill so often. Also, when you have a quick power failure does the clock stay correct? or do you need to re-set it? I don't really like the insulated steel carafe, you can't tell how much coffee is left. good videos, thanks. almost bought the Walmart one today still thinking
I have an old Keurig, like 15 yrs. Still works but it's failing. So in the market for another maker. Currently I have the kcup and a coffee drip maker. Yes two. So not I'm looking for a duo. Hard to decide between Keurig, Ninja or Cuisinart
I still have one of the original models as well. Still works pretty well but I want to make pots of coffee so I can just go in and pour another cup here and there. My wife still wants to make her K cups, so one of these seems like it would be perfect for us
Just purchased our Keurig Duo your video on how to install the fill basket was a life saver. Thanks so much for all your detail instructions
You are so welcome!
Just got the cheaper Walmart machine after my middle model died.
We Love The Cheaper One!!! Best Coffee Taste Ever!

Thank you so much for this video. I have been going back-and-forth between so many options and this helped immensely.
One correction to a great video: The K Duo Plus does allow you to use the STRONG option when brewing a carafe.
Awesome video. While comparing coffee makers in Amazon your videos are part of the featured videos they have there too :D. You have a new subscriber.
Cool, thanks!
Thank you. I’ve been debating on which one of these to buy. This helped a lot.
Glad to hear!
Thank you for this great review I have been curious about the differences
Thanks for watching!

We just got the duo plus. The strong button works on both the carafe and the k cup. Maybe they updated it? Nice comparison!
Sorry about that, I think that is my mistake. Thanks for sharing and updating, this helped and will help others also!!!

Nice a new video for my part I'm buying the Colombian Kirkland Signature coffee for pot.
I just got some of these k cups and will be doing a taste test. How would you say it taste? Thanks for your Support!!!
@@JustADad Taste like nice coffee. Not high end but pretty good the ground coffee from Costco is nice too.
Wish you had mentioned how hot the Plus carafe keeps the coffee and for how long.

Could you demo the programming process?
Just a real solid review
Getting a filtered designated line and a ball joint on off valve to fill my water tank.

@8:14 What's standard? Mine's 16-1/2"
The two models on the right, if you make a pod of coffee the carafe of coffee goes cold
Man I wish they release a K duo plus with multi stream and a 4oz or even a shot button option..
Ah, this was going to be my next research area... so no multi-brew, rain or shower head? Good to know.
on the stainless steel carafe how long does it actually keep the coffee hot?
A long time, I get this question a lot so I made video on it and timed it. ruclips.net/video/63jERuTWUxM/видео.html
Thank You!!!! This video was very helpful. New Subbie here!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and your kind words!!! thanks for the Sub!!!
What is your Favorite K Cup?
I use a dollar store Kool aid pitcher for water, I have the middle machine.
great idea!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Your welcome!!! Which one did you get?
Thanks
Your so welcome!!!
which one are you going to get?
I want to know how to keep the caraf side hot
Some videos and reviews I've read is that people rinse the carafe first with warm or hot water since there's no heating element.
The $170 keurig, is it faster.
No they all take the same amount of time to brew a k cup and a pot of coffee
Can you use the reusable pods in any of those Keurigs?
Yes I have a video on each one. ruclips.net/video/mRZoGDNejTk/видео.html
