First off CONGRATS on 50K! Remarkable. True testament to your content. Second, need to make a couple updates to the mods. I switched from the LMI back to the stock Mopar CAI that came with my Shaker and I am running Hossier drag radials (slicks). The Circle D converter flashes at 3800 rpms. Other than that you are spot on. If you want to hit the 11s quick and somewhat cheaper route, go forced induction and/or nitrous. I just didn't want to go either of those routes and wanted to stay completely naturally aspirated. It was a long and more expensive route than the above but well worth it. There are a couple things still coming. Ported intake and heads, update rear diff, and then some suspension work. Spot on for the roll racing. It's hard for a 5.7 to match that displacement and top end. The 11.8 run came with a huge DA advantage (-1946 I think). If anyone has specific questions hit up my Instagram (Modern_Red_Hemi) and I'll be glad to answer them. I have a RUclips channel with a few race videos up there. There is no secret sauce here. Bolt on, Bolt on, and bolt on some more. Forgot, I run a 93 tune daily driving and then use Boostane to increase it to 100 octane at the track.
@@RTLife That's the plan. I missed the last one to hit the drag strip but will not miss the next one. Thanks for featuring my build and will have to continue it as I finish out bolting stuff on (I know heads are questionable bolt on, some say they are other say they are not).
@@Terminator-zq5ts I try to stay away from the dyno. Try to let my times do the talking but the last time I had it dynoed (DynoJet) was like 390 hp and 390 torque. Was dissappointed in those numbers until I hit the track. That's where the rubber meets the road (get the pun there ;-) )

I love your channel I have a 2005 chrysler 300 with a 5.7 hemi and I have flowmaster catback exhaust, want to put headers on it, I have a cold air intake, a diablo intune tuner, a throttle body spacer and a oil catch can it's lowered with ebach springs and inch and a half all around, kept tires stock for more tread rather than giant rims, but want to put a larger intake manifold, shorty headers, a larger throttle body and possibly a 392 camshaft I believe then I will be truly happy, I'm 22 years old and it's my 3rd car I've ever owned and first v8
Look into SRT exhaust manifolds - pretty solid option if shorty headers are on your list. Some nice upgrades you have in your list. The t stat allows your tuner to run your hemi at a lower operating temp.

Congrats on 50k Bro. I just wanna hype up my 2015 300S 5.7 for me is all... I dig the look of the car and the possibilities 😎since we don’t have the luxury of the SRT 300 in THE USA 😩
Thanks man. Know the question was for R/T Life but I started keeping my part and then sold them. 1-takes up a lot of room in the garage and 2- I would give up this car unless they want it as is. Too expensive to put it back to stock.
I wouldnt mind doing one of these builds just to see if it can be done. 5.7 vehicles with lower miles can be had for decent prices if you can find them. I would build off a police charger if I were doing it and get the interior out of a wrecked higher optioned one be it R/T, Scat, or Hell cat. Do those and N/A miss and possibly have an
Kendrick Vazquez maybe we can hit either Atco in NJ or Cecil County in MD. Hit me up on IG and maybe we can make something work next year when the tracks open up.
Thanks for your response preciate it that doesn't make any sense why they would first offer and then not unless they were scared people were going to blow the Hellcat up but that's a totally different motor that's a 6.2 that's what makes the ls such a great motor that shooting possibilities and off the Shelf aftermarket parts availability but the main problem I see in a 6-4 is the piston ring deck height which does not like detonation at all I don't like an LS or you can put 800 horsepower on a stock bottom end and not have any worries. I'm one of your next vlogs can you go into the 5-7 lifter tap to warn people about that and if Dodge has addressed in the new 5/7 or not when I bought my 2011 used 300C Hemi for a daily it had 98000 miles on it didn't think to get an extended warranty cuz I thought those Motors were Bulletproof that I started reading other people's vlogs and I saw one after another after another saying how the lifters collapse and it eventually wipes your camshaft out and stand her $4,000 to replace the lifters to cam the pushrods if you have someone do it and I could have sworn I heard that tapping noise when I drove off I thought nothing of it dealership told me to bring the car back and if the secret Royal I knew then there was an underlying problem but I try not to worry about sugar to the Dodge dealership for recall simply asked if that was typical Hemi tick they said I would have to pay over $200 for a vehicle inspection and I said the car was just in there for you can't tell me one of your texts and listen to it and let me know never went back to that place again but if you can address that I would appreciate it
I have a 5.7 hemi I am still paying it off so the most I can do is a panel commander lucky for my I bought it use for the dealership and when I call about the car the guy I was talking said it was his daughters so it had catback exhaust and a k$n filter and have race tires and lowerd steer suspension as far as I know those are the mods it has. when I first got it when 0-60 in 4.60 secs now I barly get low 5s probably because I put 30k miles on it since then when I got it it had less than 75,000 miles and was in had near perfect condition I only had like two repairs on it but they where convered under warranty it was the altanator and the radiator and water pump had a leak. I’m so surprised I had wreaks it yet driving in the DFW metroplex when street racing one night beat a hemi powered Jeep but there was a bump in the road and I was going like 80 mph slammed on the breaks but ended up jumping the car like 2 feet on the ground and landing no damages except for the plastic cover under my engine bay coming off
i have a question. i have a block that i want to do a 397 stroker on but the shop i want to bring it to says they dont like going above a 392 because they said of the chance the piston goes to far down and causes damage. i was wondering if you have heard that
I am currently building a 2007 5.7 stroker to 399c.i. with a molnar crank and rods, CP bullet pistons, stock Eagle heads, custom cam, custom pushrods, pacesetter long tube headers, hellcat lifters, custom tune, and LX timing cover and accessories. I am having a hard time finding any information on which intake will run the best on this combo. This is in a 4 door 4x4 pickup with a 6" lift and 35" tires. I am more concerned with torque and function over looks. I know eagle intakes will require either heat modification or spacers to clear the temp sensor bulge in the front of the block valley. I have heard the truck intakes will make more torque, so I am leaning that direction. Do I need to upgrade to 392 injectors? I have found several 5.7 truck eagle intakes for ~$300 with rails and injectors. I have been looking at the 5.7 eagle truck intakes, the Holley Sniper intake, the 392 LX intake, etc. In your opinion, which would be the best intake on this build, and what injectors do I need to run with? The pacesetter headers are for my year of truck, so the ports do not match the eagle heads. I am not sure if I can port the flange enough to match the eagle D ports, or if it will really make that much difference. Does anyone know if '09+ ram pacesetters will fit in my truck?
The only downside to a 5.7 and a blower is with a cam you don’t gain the torque you should. I made 570rwhp and only 469trq. At the track I could only muster 112mph and 12.4
Havent even put a cam in yet and im able to keep em at my B pillar from a dig. I am AWD with quite alot done though. The accelleration literally hurts my back now. And i broke my seat 2 years ago🤣 it just...reclined when i floored it and i went 🙃😵💫
Good shit as always but what about doing a 5.7 with a turbo kit would you get a better power gain with that instead of going supercharged an more bang for your buck?
Either way you can really only run 6-7 lbs of boost. I would go turbo because the ceiling is higher & you don't have to worry about belt slipping - but it's typically more $$
The torque converter makes a difference of about 4 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile. The reasons I mention that is it isn't talked about that much in the video and is a significant factor when trying to match the performance from a 6.4. If anyone is interested in seeing a cammed R/T with a Procharger, you can click on this link ruclips.net/video/kn25nys2ZaE/видео.html
I really like your videos and I love your Charger, Im buying a SRT 392 Charger soon and I really love your hood! I was wondering where you got it at and for how much!
@@RTLife Yessir, I plan to do more race videos than gaming videos once I get the car, I think it will be pretty awesome once I get done what all I want plus a few fun goodies, if you know what I mean! And I will definitely be checking out that Killer Bee BMC Extreme hood! Thanks a lot bro, take it easy and race on! You also have me saying "Life is better, . . with a Hemi!" sometimes, lol
I try not to put pricing in. Every video I put prices in everyone argues over how much it costs. It all depends on the shop you use or type of mods you choose.
It wasn’t cheap but I did go for high end parts (Kooks, Borla, Circle D, etc.). My guess I put around 10k with parts and labor (labor being pricey too). Hit me up on IG and I can try to break it down. I do plan on doing it in a video on my channel but R/T Life did one a while back.
Let's see those videos. Adding a supercharger w/ dyno tune & radials should shave off around 1 & 1/2 seconds to their 1/4 mile. If they start add gearing, transmission, bolt ons with it maybe 12's is possible.
@@RTLife ruclips.net/video/_HpJ97grPo4/видео.html I assume your referring to 86face build with the extra upgrades you mentioned. I'm sure he is running a 12 flat or high 11's. I think your numbers are more accurate if the supercharger is installed without a proper tune.
@@ericf.4286 - those are solid times. not sure if that's common. No one seems to load up drag strip content of supercharged v6's. Either way - if that's the route you choose best of luck!
@@RTLife I think the conditions have to be perfect. In the video I linked, the car ran a 13.5 right after the 12.3. I actually have a 5.7 so I wouldn't be able to do it lol. I'm thinking about an intake and tune though.
I would argue mid length headers not shorties. You had shortie headers originally (I warned you didn't I? 😉) and my Hellcat exhaust manifolds (392 are the same) are mid length headers. They look like manifolds due to the heat shields welded to them but a quick look inside and you'll see they're headers inside. 392 active intake, 3.09 LSD rear, 392 exhaust manifolds or headers... NOT SHORTIES! A 270 grind Comp cam, a tune and 392's watch your taillights. 😁
I. Just hella mad because no one ever has my back . went to a shop to get a new motor because supposedly mine was bad it didn't make sense to me . i thought it would just need a rebuild . . they showed me the scoring on the cams but it looked man made scratched . anyways they charged me $7,300. For a supposedly new motor but i know it was most likely rebuilt but they bored my cylinders 30 over . so im happy for that . but still i think i got rippedoff .
. the shop is in monclaire California. The shops name is monclaire auto repair . yeah it sucks im still skeptical about the work . it was supposedly built by mopar i got a plaque on the motor but . i originally wanted the cams checked because their was a ticking in the Engine . i barely drive the car . and keep it up with maintenance. Sometimes it still makes a ticking sound on start up . .

I had the corsa on when it still had the 5.7 manifold on
@@RTLife I can't do much cause of warranty, so I can't get mine to sound like I want it but it's sucking in alot of cold air, I like that. That 5.7 love that cold air. Can't wait till you finish your car, she gonna be sick, I've shared your videos now some of my friends talking about doing what you done lol
Congrats on 50k Bro. I just wanna hype up my 2015 300S 5.7 for me is all... I dig the look of the car and the possibilities 😎since we don’t have the luxury of the SRT 300 in THE USA 😩
I really don't understand why the 300 lost the SRT version. I think they should have a damn hellcat 300 by now.
positive displacement blower and your good! all day..
Agreed.
Don is running 10's
Dope build indeed. Question for you, do you keep your stock parts, what if you someday want to trade/sell the charger?
I used to have all my stock parts - now this RT needs to be sold privately. 397 & cammed :) should sell quick
Thanks man. Know the question was for R/T Life but I started keeping my part and then sold them. 1-takes up a lot of room in the garage and 2- I would give up this car unless they want it as is. Too expensive to put it back to stock.
Congrats on 50K... Love your videos
Thank you - def pumped about that milestone. I really appreciate the support
Do those and N/A miss and possibly have an
Having a pursuit ripping 11's would be badass to see
Never liked how they neuter the 5.7 as far as breathing and gearing.
Agreed! Makes it a bolt on beast though
thanks for the video and info, maybe one day i'll get around to modding my shaker.. lol
You will enjoy modding up that beast!
Legend has it, a Hellcat owner met up with a Mustang owner and Honda owner...just so they can dislike this video 😐
hahahaha!
I like your build keep going by the way I have 5.7 forged with p1x I would like to take it to the drag strip soon to see what it does
Nice! Let me know how that beast does
Where are you located? Maybe we can get to the same track and run it!
I live in New York my ig is topbossken
Kendrick Vazquez maybe we can hit either Atco in NJ or Cecil County in MD. Hit me up on IG and maybe we can make something work next year when the tracks open up.
Are you saying that any 392 300 charger or Challenger before 2015 you don't have to get it unlocked it's ready to go
yah in 2015 they locked the PCM. if you have a 14 & prior you're good to go
Thanks for your response preciate it that doesn't make any sense why they would first offer and then not unless they were scared people were going to blow the Hellcat up but that's a totally different motor that's a 6.2 that's what makes the ls such a great motor that shooting possibilities and off the Shelf aftermarket parts availability but the main problem I see in a 6-4 is the piston ring deck height which does not like detonation at all I don't like an LS or you can put 800 horsepower on a stock bottom end and not have any worries. I'm one of your next vlogs can you go into the 5-7 lifter tap to warn people about that and if Dodge has addressed in the new 5/7 or not when I bought my 2011 used 300C Hemi for a daily it had 98000 miles on it didn't think to get an extended warranty cuz I thought those Motors were Bulletproof that I started reading other people's vlogs and I saw one after another after another saying how the lifters collapse and it eventually wipes your camshaft out and stand her $4,000 to replace the lifters to cam the pushrods if you have someone do it and I could have sworn I heard that tapping noise when I drove off I thought nothing of it dealership told me to bring the car back and if the secret Royal I knew then there was an underlying problem but I try not to worry about sugar to the Dodge dealership for recall simply asked if that was typical Hemi tick they said I would have to pay over $200 for a vehicle inspection and I said the car was just in there for you can't tell me one of your texts and listen to it and let me know never went back to that place again but if you can address that I would appreciate it
That red challenger, or any 5.7 would greatly benefit from 392 heads, ported and polished.
Agreed
Keep this quiet but that’s next.
Love the vids
Thank you
What i been waiting on
Hope it helps buddy!
If you wanna beat a 392 in a race with a 5.7 all u need is a whipple supercharger, tune
yup
True but that’s the easy way out 😜
AKA Fat Checkbook
He sounds like Jesse from the Fast and Furious explaining all the modifications to Dom.
LOL
Any ideas for a Chrysler 300c 5.7 tryna get it to push 400whp
I’m so surprised I had wreaks it yet driving in the DFW metroplex when street racing one night beat a hemi powered Jeep but there was a bump in the road and I was going like 80 mph slammed on the breaks but ended up jumping the car like 2 feet on the ground and landing no damages except for the plastic cover under my engine bay coming off
Nice man - keep on enjoying that beast!
You can catch up ...mill the heads for higger compression and a good cam
i have a question. i have a block that i want to do a 397 stroker on but the shop i want to bring it to says they dont like going above a 392 because they said of the chance the piston goes to far down and causes damage. i was wondering if you have heard that
I am currently building a 2007 5.7 stroker to 399c.i. with a molnar crank and rods, CP bullet pistons, stock Eagle heads, custom cam, custom pushrods, pacesetter long tube headers, hellcat lifters, custom tune, and LX timing cover and accessories.
I guess nobody here turns their own wrenches...?
The only downside to a 5.7 and a blower is with a cam you don’t gain the torque you should. I made 570rwhp and only 469trq. At the track I could only muster 112mph and 12.4
You have the power - with a torque converter & limited slip diff I bet you're in mid 11's (depending on DA)
I was doing a 12.7 @108 with 397whp & 400tq - you can def get that beast into the 11's
R/T Life I don’t have car anymore I own a 1320 now. The rt was a standard and it was a pain with my knee
Havent even put a cam in yet and im able to keep em at my B pillar from a dig. I am AWD with quite alot done though. The accelleration literally hurts my back now. And i broke my seat 2 years ago🤣 it just...reclined when i floored it and i went 🙃😵💫
I think I'm going to give my wife my 5.7 and start from scratch with something new 🤣😅 Congratulations on the channel
hahaha thanks man! I really appreciate it
When did you make it down to Capitol Raceway??? That’s my home track! Ohhh snap congratulations on 50k
My buddy Don took that footage & gave it to me. Looks like a nice strip
We will have to meet up next year! Keep me in mind and we can collaborate together.
Good shit as always but what about doing a 5.7 with a turbo kit would you get a better power gain with that instead of going supercharged an more bang for your buck?
Either way you can really only run 6-7 lbs of boost. I would go turbo because the ceiling is higher & you don't have to worry about belt slipping - but it's typically more $$
@@RTLife Thanks how much power gain would you suggest you'll gain going that route
So can you guys stroke my 2005 quad cab Ram 1500, 5.7 Hemi?
What do you recommend for a 2018 jeep grand cherokee high altitude Hemi v8
When you change to 18 in rims is that 18 inch front and back and what size Mickey Thomas tires
I wanna run that shaker! I’ve also got a bolt on/ Cammed 5.7 ! 🤙🏾
Jeffrey Scott I’m in MD. If you are even somewhat close we should do it!
NICE! Battle of the cammed 5.7's
R/T Life check out my channel I just started about a week ago! Just got a walk around video but got some content coming soon!
What would you think would be the cheapest route to just go ahead and throw a blower on it or build it up without boost?
Miss my 5.7 Charger. Hate I traded that car. Definitely was a sleeper. 💤💤💤
They're so much damn fun
That car hurt a lot of feelings 😂😂. It was fun to see the looks on their face when I beat them. That yacht 🛥 was fast
What car are you driving right now, since you don’t have your charger?
I drive around my Monte SS - that's my daily all year
The torque converter makes a difference of about 4 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile. The reasons I mention that is it isn't talked about that much in the video and is a significant factor when trying to match the performance from a 6.4. If anyone is interested in seeing a cammed R/T with a Procharger, you can click on this link ruclips.net/video/kn25nys2ZaE/видео.html
yah the torque converter makes a big time difference.
I really like the RT logo at the beginning of every video. Where can I buy that badge for my RT?
I really like your videos and I love your Charger, Im buying a SRT 392 Charger soon and I really love your hood! I was wondering where you got it at and for how much!
Thanks man! I got the hood from BMC Extreme - it's called the Killer Bee Hood. You will enjoy having one of those 392 - a lot of fun
You also have me saying "Life is better, . . with a Hemi!" sometimes, lol
magnaflow doesnt offer 3 inch piping on a 2013 rt , would you recommend still purchasing them or look for a brand that does sell 3 inch piping ?
If you're going forced air - I would def recommend getting a 3". So def check other brands.
Great video but I wish you would have thrown some price points in there
I try not to put pricing in.
Quick question on your build what size gaskets was used for your cylinder heads?
Do you know if the 5.7 Daytona has shorty headers like the Scat? Since it has the active exhaust.
No it doesn’t. Only the 392 & Hellcat’s have the upgraded exhaust manifolds (shortys)
Yup, you made up my mind. Stroking the Jeep. Lol my wife has you to blame
The performance gains are pretty damn solid!
R/T Life haha yeah, blocks already at the machine shop. Sent it this morning! Just don’t know what route to go On boost either
Did those mods get the 5.7 to 500? Or close to it
Im building all this on my. 06 jeep wk2
I've seen videos of the SXT with a Ripp supercharger/tune and better tires hitting a 12.3 quarter mile.
Let's see those videos. Adding a supercharger w/ dyno tune & radials should shave off around 1 & 1/2 seconds to their 1/4 mile. If they start add gearing, transmission, bolt ons with it maybe 12's is possible.
@@RTLife ruclips.net/video/_HpJ97grPo4/видео.html
I assume your referring to 86face build with the extra upgrades you mentioned.
Now, what we want to see is your 397NA against a 392
The 392 is making about the same power as a full bolt on 392 - so it should do well
What size ati dampner is on your car is a 6% or 18%
Can anyone tell me if a 10.5 slick will fit under an 09 Challenger. If not how wide can you go. Thank you,
I don't think it will fit on a stock rim
When you gonna take that beast to the track? Or you going to boost it first?
Likely in the spring time
What can? Specs please
Should be sponsored by Graco too lol....
hahaha!
Friday the 13th, everyone be careful!
Right back at you! Didn't realize it was the 13th
What torque converter would you recommend for around 415 who?
*WHP
I really haven't researched converters yet - I can't give you a good answer on that yet
R/T Life let me know when ya can? Love to hear your input.
are you guys in deer park?
❤
never changed rear differential? 3.09 lsd change that car’s attitude
I'm def headed down that path - Def a much needed upgrade
as long as your car has 220 mm rear assembly it’s direct swap, no need to change axels or driveshaft. thanks for all the videos r/t life
I would argue mid length headers not shorties.
gotcha ok.
What shop? Nothing worse than feeling like you got ripped off. Sorry about that
. the shop is in monclaire California. The shops name is monclaire auto repair . yeah it sucks im still skeptical about the work . it was supposedly built by mopar i got a plaque on the motor but . i originally wanted the cams checked because their was a ticking in the Engine . i barely drive the car . and keep it up with maintenance. Sometimes it still makes a ticking sound on start up . .
Mine used to make that ticking noise as well until it was re-cammed. I believe it's a lifter issue.
Gibe us some 392 content i love watching a stick shift race a auto and winning
That would be fun seeing how they stack up
@@RTLife practice shifting ull get fast enough
