2025 Ram 1500 RHO - Everything You Need to Know! (Can it Replace the TRX?)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 июн 2024
- Today we cover the new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO which was just unveiled yesterday by Stellantis. 2024 is the last year of the Ram 1500 TRX that is powered by the Hellcat engine with over 700 horsepower. Ram is shifting gears for 2025, discontinuing the TRX as well as the Hemis in most of their light-duty trucks, so the performance truck replacement is this RHO, powered by a 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo straight-six engine. RHO seems to be code name for Rhino. Watch along for all the details on performance, off-roading and suspension, exterior, interior, and pricing!

Sorry guys screwed up a slide - RHO side should say 540 Horsepower and 521 Lb-Ft of torque! TRX is 702 HP, 650 Lb-Ft
like it RHO { ram high output}. now if the dealers don't get greedy with the mark ups
The RHO at $70k is good bang for the buck compared to the all-new Tacoma TRD Pro which goes for $65k. Both trucks are too rich for my blood
Agreed, even being $26k less than the TRX isn’t a bad deal at all, that’s substantial savings. In the same range as TRD and ZR2 price wise
The RHO is confirmed to be Rhino, they have a rhino on the plaque in the center console where the t-rex used to be
For what it compared with, they did a great job. I wish you could use it in a 2W drive option, not 4w auto all the time.
I’d wait to buy this truck with the new 3.0 twin turbo. Let the company work the bugs out for a couple of years!
Would love to see more of your Charger build it’s very similar to what I’m planning to do. Very eager for more dyno tuning videos and overall reviews of the car after the build. Hope all is well 👍🏼
It’s still TRX body just a Removed Hellcat Option.
😐😔
Aye tbh even tho we’re losing the v8 and losing all the horsepower and torque, it’s definitely proving that now a days you don’t need big huge honking v8s to produce a capable vehicle. I mean similar towing and payload figures, similar 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. You’re not really losing much in terms of usability with the RHO. And it’ll be cheaper! Yeah a twin turbo inline 6 won’t sound the same as a screaming suoercharged v8 but again if the v6 or i6 will have literally the same (or in this case better) capabilities, be better on gas and is cheaper then I’ll go with the 6 cylinder
I'd still buy one! 💯
Don't be a fairy. By a V8 Ram.
@@Sub-Zero-392 Don't be stupid, there's nothing wrong with a I6. And the Hemi has been discontinued so it's kinda the only option outside of a used Ram.
Like I say: RHO "REMOVED HELL OPTION."
Great Video. Sad to see the HEMI go, but as much as I Dislike Stillantis and Mr. Kiniskis, I hope this reconfiguration of Dodge works.
Tim Kiniskis isn't the culprit of all of this, just stellantis
2:07 - Significant step down? I wouldn't be too quick to say that. You gotta remember, those performance numbers were just what the RHO was rated by Stellantis. When the TRX first came on the scene, it was rated 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, only for real world reviewers and owners to get there in the high 3 second range. Even the Hornet GT is underrated, 0-60 rated at 6.5 seconds, yet owners and reviewers like Carndriver got their Hornet to 60 in the high to mid 5s. Whos to say that the power/performance isn't underrated a bit here? BMW does it all the time with their straight-sixes, lol.
Lmao hornet is a Alfa Romeo 😂
@@ClonewarswarsClone Not sure what that has to do with what I said but, um, yes, yes it is.
@@jonathancolbert6666 I'm rather more curious about the high trim ram 1500s considering the weight difference between the high trim models with the HO hurricane vs the RHO. Those have to be atleast mid-low 12s truck if they weight a good 1000lbs less, and that's not even looking at the later 6 pack charger which is another 1000lbs less.
Good point, you’re spot on that they did advertise those numbers when the TRX came out. This is basically the same, so we will see what the real world reviewers can achieve. I just think it sucks for those TRX owners where now you might be able to go equally as quick for $26k less, but that’s how she goes.
The young brother to the TRX, but now competing with the Ford Raptor and Chevy Silverado ZR2
I don’t think the Silverado ZR2 is in the same league as the Raptor and this RHO. The ZR2 is meant to compete with the Tremor and Tundra TRD Pro. I owned a Raptor and have also driven a ZR2. They’re nowhere near the same.
And the rebel
I feel that this truck should’ve been made instead of the Rebel. I personally feel the Rebel was supposed to be some type of competitor to the Raptor but, it never really hit the mark. This is a cool looking truck. I’m a Raptor owner myself. Ive always liked the look and HP of the TRX but, here in California they were going for 130k. I’m sure with a tune, this thing could be in the mid 600 HP. Hope to see one of these soon.
RAM. es. RAM..... Que bella esa Camioneta 😍
Love how there’s alot of complaints in the comments but maybe one of us will get it
Be an awesome trim on a Dakota, but for some reason Ram doesn't see midsize buyers as customers.
They have a midsized truck coming out next year
thats because ram knows 1500s are mid size. all that other shit is compact idk what anyone say.
lol the ram 1500’s are damn near midsize
Can you only get it with a moonroof or can you go with no moon roof
I’ve had my deposit on my spot in line for one of these for a few months with my local dodge dealer. If I am offered msrp, I will be taking delivery
Andre at TFL said that Ram told him that they are going to make as many RHO's as are ordered, not a small very limited amount of them are going to be manufactured. So hopefully no big markups, only time will tell.
Check out the Ram RHO forum. They have dealers offering below MSRP. Ordered mine yesterday!
@@choppindablock1 hell yeah man! What color did you go with?
@@carguy0389 I went with the billet silver!

People don't want more power that weighs less.
People want to live with the dinosaurs.
I bought a 2022 Ram 5.7 I love it ! So dumb replacing the hemi. Stupid...turbos burn motors cause they cheap out in the design and materials😢I want to make my carbon footprint as big as possible... plants eat carbon❤
How can there be true dual exhaust if you have one bank of cylinders? Also I think they should have waited until they had an 800HP electric motor to replace the supercharged HEMI before they made the replacement across the board. If any of the big 3 are going to beat Tesla, it would be Dodge or Ram that will do it.
I mean it all comes down to price and in todays market that is a lot of truck for the price. The new TRX will come in time, but at least Ram has an answer to the normal Raptor. I personally was hoping to see an upgraded normal body Rebel so you can fit it in more places but still enjoy the upgrade in power and capability, sorta like the Silverado 1500 ZR2. Here's hoping.
Agreed. This is a stop gap of some sort to still be able to compete (but I suspect the new/future “TRX” is probably going to be electric). I thought they would change more from the TRX but it’s basically the same truck with less engine.
🏆🍀🤠✌️
absolute banger truck, gonna order one, hellcat no one really needs, this hurricane is enough for 99% of people. Bros not even having a desert near them and wanting a hellcat. At least I live in the desert and I know this hurricane will be PLENTY of power for the baja job.
That’s exactly what I’m saying. People love talking up v8s like they’re the only viable option for power. We get it, we all love the sound they make. But if that’s literally the only thing they have going for them and a 6 cylinder can perform damn near similar, why not just get the 6 cylinder?
@@Trckstr971 Said the guy that never has never driven a 6.2L hellcat. There is nothing like it, NOTHING.
does that include the driveline Clunk or is that an option
There’s no level 2… Level 1 is LOADED! . I just ordered 1.. $89755
It requirs premium gas at roughly 50% greater cost of regular
Well it's not Dino might be it's bad ass
🎉👍💖👍🎉
Torque and HP specs of RHO is inccorect.
Thanks! I must have put the wrong slide in there, put up a comment acknowledging it.
There is a new trx coming out....This truck is just a cheaper badazz truck
16 19 mpg
8:28 torque is 521lb-ft tho. 😮(?)
Yeah I messed up the slide :(
Yeah, the Rhino name is a joke for a vehicle based in North America. I would have named it RTX, Rough Terrain Xtraodinaire, but that even sounds a little goofy.
It’s a vehicle not a graphics card
I honestly don’t understand why they didn’t just keep the trx with the hellcat
Emissions 😂
The same reason why they didn't keep the Hellcat in the Charger and Challenger. Doesn't meet Federal CAFE emission regulations. This was a lot of why the TRX was so expensive. The higher price offset the fines Stellantis was paying to sell this vehicle. That's also why the Charger and Challengers with the 6.4 and 6.2 got so expensive over the past couple model years. CAFE fines.
It’ll be over priced like all their stuff. I love RAM but see the prices as a tragedy.
People calm down.is the trx they jus change the hellcat motor.and still these motor is strong..even stronger than the tundra v8.
One more screen that will break 🤦
Rather get raptor
Much more livable daily drive and better options inside RHO is it !
Basically a Ram Raptor. Not high performance on the level of TRX and Raptor R but some people will enjoy it, until a TRX pulls up beside it. 😆
Wish it came with RamBoxes. And I definitely wouldn’t want a side passenger screen either.
the vast majority of these vehicles are pavement queens but when money was cheap, it was all about making an impression. Now folks are squawking about having to fill it with premium gas? LOL
TRX way better than RHO and no replacement for the V8
I wish they would discontinued this soon
Nope I love my 2024 TRX no need to buy the RHO. My 2024 TRD Pro Sequoia is almost along the same lines and with more room. I have the best of both worlds already. I'm good lol. No go on the RHO. Nice but nope.
Unless they can make a good truck for 25k, they can get lost.
Well, I guess. that means I'm gonna be looking at the Ford raptor R. At least it has a V8 🤷🏽♂️
They can keep this hurricane 6CYI engine. That was a dumb move to remove the Hemi engines , out of this Ram pick up trucks !! Dodge could have still offer and brand new V8 engine to replace the Hemi V8 engines as a option !! This whole company Chrysler corporation is going down hill fast, under there european boss now, Stellantis Company !!! 😤😤🤬🤬🤮🤮🤮🗑🗑🗑👎👎👎👎
The RHO is NOT a replacement for the TRX!
Inline 6? No thanks.
This Will Not Be As Good As TRX.....
HEMI RULES!!!!
Im not impressed it’s just a castrated TRX they didn’t even bother bumping up the power for this
Yeah, they also basically made a TRX but $26,000 cheaper. That"s like literally giving people a free Jeep Compass 😎
@@LakeHowellDigitalVideo 21 trx msrp was $72k
Maybe its a sign, there something is coming to replece the TRX.
So they traded in the T-Rex for this shit
RHO is NOT a replacement for the TRX. Even RAM stated this.
R. REALLY
H. HIGHLY
O. OVER RATED.
nobody is buying dodge trucks right now, so does it really matter?
Yet Ram is the 3rd best selling vehicle selling 445,000 units last year…
The TRXs are actually going like hot, not easy to get one.
Maybe by nobody you mean you? Cause tons of dodges are selling. 😅😅
That's kinda weird I work at the ram plant and they just put us on 9 hours 6 days.
Correct. They’re NOT buying “Dodge” trucks. They’re buying Ram trucks. 🤣
Don’t care.
