Thank you. I had this saved on my playlist but it became available no more. :( For the longest time no one knew what the hell I was talking about when I would ask about this song. This sound quality sounds like what I have on tape (from taping songs off the radio). Thanks again.
This was totally a KROQ 106.7 song, I feel so luck to have grown up with access to that radio station, only now it's so hard to find the music they played, except on here! Thank you!
Thanks for posting this comment - finding information on him is next to impossible it seems, even harder than finding his music! And I was always curious what became of him. So sad that he is gone.
I found the 12" in a box of random records in a dollar store in Chinatown last week. It's been years since I've seen a copy and I definitely feel lucky! I love the strange little dance the backup singers do at the end, trying to keep in time with the music, then shuffle off screen..very 5th grade musical :)
Nice work Scott Crainey! You have resurrected of the most "ancient" songs from the 80s and from the MV3 show I used to watch religiously for those of us who had no cable nor MTV at the time. This is a song that one will never hear in an 80s flashback. Definitely pre-Spandau Ballet period.
Chris was a friend of mine and he was a sweet, wonderful, kind and talented person. I remember going to "The Palace" to see him and i was so impressed he could really sing alot better than on his records. "Should I Love You" still sounds cool to me (kinda ABCish). Miss him, just a great guy. kevin
My favorite Chris quote ever: "Oh please, I was in Vogue for Men. Get me a vodka!" Great memories of setting up for The Apartment (his Hitchcock night was genius!) and eating brunch at his place with April and Xavier. RIP, Chris.
I actually own the LP and the 12" single - found them both (in nearly perfect condition) at a record store near where I grew up in Southern California sometime in 1994. Quite the vinyl find! Glad you liked the video - sorry the quality is kind of crap, I converted it from a seriously old VHS tape. :)
A-W-E-S-O-M-E... Anyone have video material for Cee Farrow's sweet tune "Wildlife Romance"? Love that one. Used to listen to it on CFNY (now The Edge) in Toronto, Canada... Live Earl Jive... wonder what that guy's up to these days...
Man, this stuff is sweet. I remember buyin' this LP (Red and Blue) back in '84. Actually met 'Cee' in '84 I think it was. He was promoting his LP at a record store in Laguna Beach, CA (I was goin' to high school in Riverside, CA - not as 'cool' as Laguna... :). So sorry to hear he's moved on. But he's likely dancin' away to some celestial tunes. Music you CAN take with you on to the next spheres...
No 'kin way... you were there, too? Nice... I remember bein' surprised he din' look 'air-brushed blue' like the cover of the LP (Red and Blue) - he actually looked kinda pink/reddish - rosy cheeks/face
I met Chris at The Nairobi Room in downtown LA in 1984... I remember I was wearing a long black andd white kilt over leather pants and I guess he thought I looked really cool. He sent his BF Robby over to get me and we were sooo excited to meet him. we hung out for a bit and he invited us to a party at his house the following night. We showed up the next night and we got the day wrong. There was no one there except for Chris and Steve who was with the Sex Pistols. Chris was 1 of my best friends
Seriously, it has been Cee Farrow since 1983. I've got it on vinyl. And don't make me fight gay dudes for my most fabulous albums. (They WILL want to kick my ass. Don't get me started on my albums...) The gay fellas love my collection and they're cool with it.
It wouldn't surprise me if the blonde female featured in the video is Justine Johns A.K.A. Deborah Williams. Cee had done the artwork for her Stage Struck album around the same time. Her hairstyle looks the exact same as how it appears in Justine Johns - Babylon video... Coincidence?
Hey krushsister~ If you're interested, I actually own both the 12" single of this song AND Cee's LP ("Red and Blue"). (Found them right next to each other in a used record store in Garden Grove in '95 - near mint condition, too!) You can e-mail me at scottrainey AT yahoo for info.
Hey Scott! I used to be known as "krushsister" here on RUclips before switching to this account, and I actually got a chance to hear this song being played on SiriusXM's First Wave channel this afternoon on Richard Blade's "Friday Forget-Me-Nots" segment, and that compelled me to look up this music video again and I totally didn't see this reply of yours to me until now!
Hi stormtrooper, If you're interested, I have the 12" single and the Cee Faro LP ("Red and Blue") - found 'em both in a used record shop in Garden Grove back in '95 - almost mint condition, too! email me at scottrainey AT yahoo if you're interested. :)
I'm about to burn my original LP and 12" single to CD... I can e-mail you the songs, provided it copies all right. Drop me a line (scottrainey AT yahoo) and I'll get you hooked up. There's a couple other people I've promised it to, so I'll really have to do it now!
Sadly I've got thee, hitting me in every place. So, likely gay, dammit! It's okay, I have friends who can be "on board' with ya, Cee. You have a faboo song!
Hey - check the comment I left for burberryblond77 below - I would be glad to email you a copy of the song once I get it copied over from my vinyl - let me know - scottrainey AT yahoo. Take care!
I loved this album and single. Thanks so much for posting it, and thanks to Carrie who just told me that it was here!! Whoo hoo, Cee Farrow!
I haven't heard this catchy tune in years. I love the chorus.
Chris was one of the coolest and most talented people I ever knew.
Same!?!1
Gosh what a sexy voice, I remember this song well, 80's live! Used to have this on vinyl, played the hell out of it.
Thank you. I had this saved on my playlist but it became available no more. :(
For the longest time no one knew what the hell I was talking about when I would ask about this song. This sound quality sounds like what I have on tape (from taping songs off the radio).
Thanks again.
I lived with Chris and Robbie in LA.. he was great and a lot of fun. He was one of my best friends.. RIP
nice 80s clip. Thanks

I discovered Cee Farrow last year.
Criminally Underrated Artist!
OMG. I went to that signing too! My girlfriend and I were in awe. I still have my signed poster.
Thanks for posting this comment - finding information on him is next to impossible it seems, even harder than finding his music! And I was always curious what became of him. So sad that he is gone.
I remember watching this in my early teens. I thought he was one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. I still think that!!!
I met him when I was 14 or 15 . Wish i would have kept that autographed poster . He was super nice .
Miss old school KROQ in LA. After all these years, I realize it really improved my musical taste for life. :) Thanks for posting this.

Chris gave me my first Go-Go Dance gig at his Bitter End Club (Pre-Club Apartment Days). Been dancin' ever since. He and April were swell Club Hosts!

Scott Rainey I grew up in the San Fernando Valley...
Orange County here. Class of 1987, and a devoted KROQ listener since about '82. Jed the Fish was the DJ at my senior prom! :D

And I still own the 12" of this song.
I've got the "Red and Blue" LP and the 12", too! A couple of my prized vinyl possessions. :)

Hello, anyone have the lyrics to this wonderful song? thank you
Seriously, it has been Cee Farrow since 1983. I've got it on vinyl. And don't make me fight gay dudes for my most fabulous albums. (They WILL want to kick my ass. Don't get me started on my albums...) The gay fellas love my collection and they're cool with it.
funny to hear this after so many years, especially as i produced and played alot of it.
Andy Lunn
Cee farrow does an excellent Blue Steel look from Zoolander. He also would've made a great substitute host for Dieter on Sprockets.
OMG, Phases and the Odyssey!! What great high school memories of goth, before goth had a name. But what about 321 and Contempo??
@Xavierestrella
Xavier, I remember you well! Jeff West
It's like playing a singing megadrive!
Does anybody know where I can get the LP of this?
Is there anyway to hear Wildlife Romance? There was a youtube video with the song a year ago but its no longer there.
Woohoo
Lets go!
Hi inmotion - I own the LP - I'll check and see if the lyrics are included.
LOL! I actually searched for it myself, using the spelling "Cee Faro." It seems that misspelling the guy's name is a common problem!
Hey krushsister~
If you're interested, I actually own both the 12" single of this song AND Cee's LP ("Red and Blue"). (Found them right next to each other in a used record store in Garden Grove in '95 - near mint condition, too!) You can e-mail me at scottrainey AT yahoo for info.

@@ladyi7609 that's hysterical! I'm glad we're both still around twelve years later!! 😁
i used to work with his lover in ARCADIA CA..1990 BUT HE WAS MARRIED TO A WOMAN TO GET HIS LEGAL PAPERS...CRAZY THERE LIKE IN PICO RIVERA I HEARD
RIP Cee Farrow...
Your "Mold Injected Cheeks" will live with me forever... Not joking btw....
Kip Dynamite was heavily influenced by these vocals.
Hi stormtrooper,
