Found this video while researching the 2007 Denali before buying one. We are now super excited to purchase it black on black with only 60,000 miles on it is 2024🥳Shows very little common normal wear so we know it is original miles. Was just never driven!

i might cry if i had an SUV like that but dang its baller. Used to have a 1996 Landcruiser and that used to get a combined 13mpg and alot of the driving was city when we had it. Also a full time 4wd just like this GMC. Also used to have a 1997 Suburban and that actually felt like it was a better highway cruiser because the engine would barely spin over 1500 going highway speeds with the 5.7. Filling the gas tank wasnt the most fun but gas was still under $2 those days.

hey Zach, just wanted to post a little comment telling you how much I love your content! I discovered your channel when looking up vids about the 2002 Lexus is300, since I’m switching with my dad for my 2006 Camry. I put your videos on before bed for ambient noise and I really like how often you upload. Keep up the good work man!

Out of all the Suburban/Yukons my favorite has always been the GMT800s..I feel like they had the best styling and features. The GMT900s just look to bland in comparison. It was kinda common on late 00s era GM vehicles imo. These were nice trucks though..and I do have a soft spot for this era GM vehicles. But I personally prefer 2005 and older GMs.

I would say that the GMT800 was probably the height of the GM big SUV/truck. I like the GMT400 better, but there's no arguing that it is easily more dated and not as nice inside, which the GMT800 fixes. Plus, unlike the GMT900, I think they look less generic, and they have much better build quality (especially interior wise) than the GMT900. Plus, the engine problems with the DOD system on the GMT900 trucks. They are definitely better than the current Suburbans, but I think the GMT800 was the best of the best, all around.

The GMT400 in my opinion was the best platform because it had this American truck like platform and they still run strong to this day

Great review, I especially appreciate the interior tour. I saw one of these pop up on Marketplace at a surprisingly good price, looks like they've hit the bottom of their depreciation curve and are pretty reasonable. On one hand, I like that the 6.2 doesn't have the displacement on demand, on the other hand, the AWD system worries me.

My favorite Gen is the current one 2021+, but this one aged the best so far, the interior on the newer Tahoes already looks a little older than it is imo. And no it don’t look modern it has a late 2000s look for sure.

My opinion: GMT800 was better. More comfortable, no engine issues, and while the build is a bit loose they hold up well. GMT400s are awesome too, it's such a clean design and they hold up well too. To me, GMT900 SUVs are okay if somewhat bland (engine issues notwithstanding) and the GMT900 trucks are depressingly generic.

  • @OhPhuckYou

GMs marketing department really did well to push these. They're archaic compared to the competition, especially the Expedition and Armada. The Expedition had a higher towing capacity, power folding third row, independent long travel rear suspension starting in 03, power adjusting pedals, parking sensors, ventilated seats, and an intelligent auto 4x4 that would prevent slippage and direct more power where needed. The GMT800s would just flipped on a 50/50 split during slippage. Both are excellent and ultra durable SUVs. The Ford had far better tech and driving dynamics, but unfortunately the 05+ Expedition used the 3V 5.4. So the GMT800 was definitely a better choice after 05.

I am now trying to imagine someone playing super smash bros meless in the back with the rca jacks but hopefully that won't distract the driver. Heck or even mario kart double dash although not sure what there would be to power a gamecube.

I have a 2013 and I love it better body style than the 2023 Gm went overboard with the style just to run the price up on it smh only thing I have to do is get mines repainted because I got it from up North where salt from snow on road got to certain parts of the paint job but I sprayed some rust stop on those areas but once I get it repainted those spots should disappear at least I pray it does🤷🏾‍♂️

My brother has one in identical spec to this, except a 2011 model year. Gotta say, it's... disappointing.
The 6.2 makes absolutely fantastic power, but we just passed 180k miles and the DOD/AFM is starting to fail, you can hear it stumble and try to stay running for ~15 seconds during a cold start every morning. The dash is cracked and creaks when you're taking turns or going down a windy country road. The steering wheel badge is completely silver and none of the climate control buttons have any labels any more. And that 6 speed is... kinda clunky if I'm being honest. On the upside, it's a fantastic towing vehicle
It's not really that comfortable imho, unless you're in the drivers seat, then it's like sitting on a cloud. The passenger seat feels like I'm sitting *on* in rather than *in* it, and the rear seats are shockingly disappointing in terms of comfort and legroom for a vehicle of such size (I'm 6'4" and straight up can't get comfortable in the 2nd row, it's tight on legroom). They made the right decision switching to IRS for the new gen, it frees up a ton of room, especially for third row passengers. Every time i drive it, it feels like bailout era GM, which it is. If it were my money, I'd just buy a pre-07 GMT800 with the 6.0 and be done with it
