If cruise control isn't working. It's caused by the brake switch.
My 07 tahoe with the early 4.8 we got when it had 138k on it. Just doing long road trips around town Phoenix Arizona it's now at 192k.
We've replaced the spark plugs, radiator for an aluminum one,heater outlet hose,alternator, oil pickup tube o ring and new oil pan gasket. I did the valve cover gaskets once with "felpro" ones. Now I'm going to change them out for mahle ones.
Also adding a bigger transmission cooler helps the transmission stay alive. Amsoil is the only oil I use for it.

I bet that check engine light is the p0011 code, such an annoying code when the tolerance gets off just a little bit.

@@leonardogarcia9651owning one myself but a Escalade (fancier Yukon) they are pretty reliable if you have a 2007/2009 because those have no afm/dod which mostly kills these engines.
It’s pretty roomie and spacious, these vehicles last long if you really keep up with maintenance, the only con in my opinion is the fuel mileage since it’s a 6.2.

2007 6.2 came with out the afm. that's the L92 engine i believe after 2008 is when they started putting in the afm in the 6.2 known as the L9H
