Thankyou @sachinkainth9508 for pointing out my mistake. After 2018, here are minimum aging requirements as per BNIC (The Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac) standards: 2 years minimum: VS (Very Special), 3 stars, De Luxe 3 years minimum: Superior, Superior Quality 4 years minimum: VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), Rare, Réserve 5 years minimum: Vieille Réserve, Réserve Rare 6 years minimum: Napoléon, Très Vieille Réserve, Héritage 10 years minimum: XO, Extra Old, Hors d’âge, Extra, 14 years minimum: XXO, Extra Extra Old
Love the vid! Great info. Brandy is nowhere near as popular as whiskey so learning about it can be a little more labor intensive... But this makes it cheaper than whiskey. ;)
Since 2018 XO brandies have to be aged at least 10 years.
