Am from the neighbouring town of Hässleholm, and for people that knows football and watches the premier league, it is still a well known fact that Crouchy played for IFK Hässleholm and is still being talked about over here.

Despite the incompetence and juvenile presenter you mean ? Ie cos of crouch’s my , who carried the teenager . For instance , didn’t ask how well Peter played in second two loan teams ie goals etc , what the standards of the Swedish team were , what he liked about Sweden / the broader lifestyle etc , what other players at home team said on his return etc etc . Get soneone grown up to do it - think the other guy would be better tbh 🙄

How they manage ”go out” in Hässleholm is beyond me. At best 5 people out on a friday night at a sunky sportbar which is closing at 10pm.

Crouchy is the everyman, our mate. He's the chap from our group who wasn't suppose to make and did. Crouchy lived the dream. He lived our dream, playing against our football idols, playing with our idols. He played on English football's most sacred grounds Anfield, Wembly, Highbury, Old Tradford... He wore the Red's jersey and his country's as well. Impossible! It wasn't suppose to happen. In his dreams! While modest in nature and reliving his footy accomplishments, he proved EVERYONE wrong. As I understand, even Crouchy thought he wouldn't do it. You beat the odds mate! EPIC!! Crouchy OUR everyman's idol for doing what what we all dreamed, wished, could not imagine we could. Crouchy proved that the everyman can. I raise a frosty pint to one of our own. My mate, Crouchy!!! Cheers!! Love you!!!
This pod is phenomenal. Always loved Crouchy since his days as a red, but for every bit of talent he had as a footballer he is equally as funny! Chris & Dave are great to bounce off. Good stuff 👏

Crouchy was on it from day one at Norwich, scored on his debut and looked the part. We were all hoping he'd sign permanently but, sadly, it was never to be. Glad the anonymous builder made his life more comfortable though!

Its so strange to me that players like Crouch and Dennis Wise spent time on loan in Sweden fourth divisions as youngsters. Swedish second division is basicly the fourth division as we have Allsvenskan, Superettan, Div 1, Div 2. I mean the clubs Hässleholm and Grebbestad nobody knows about this clubs. So wierd they after those spells went on to be big stars in the Prem.
Yeah i didnt even know he had played in Sweden, only ever heard about him having a Swedish girlfriend or something like that. Weird that one of the best known prem strikers spent time in the Swedish 4th div.
Spent many a Saturday night in Dulwich during my youth, I'd say it was an underrated oasis of quality knees-up. I hope Crouchy didn't squander the opportunity in his development.

Random but have lot considered a different set up regarding mics? I watch others who all use like a free standing mic so hands are free, you can just move where you want.
Holding mic seems very uncomfortable, also a different set up so laptop isn't on your lap? Even just changing table to something bigger will solve both issues.
I watched another podcast prior yours so your lots threw me off with set up, I reckon a free standing set up will be alot better, more freedom, more relaxed etc.
Hope you consider.
I think Crouchy P is used to holding the m-i-c because of all his TV work, so it's just comfortable to him that way. The other two would probably be more comfortable with the mics on the table. However, I reckon, on a pod from a pub, one of these dudes would have spilled a full-ass drink onto a mic or two. Having to hold it makes you aware that it's something that needs looking out for.
Would love them to track down that builder lol. Crouchy - what a legend.

Can someone tell me why the YT eps are shorter than the audio eps on Spotify etc.?
They cut out the ads / sponsors on the RUclips version that appear on Spotify. If you include the Brewdog LaOut stuff (Brewdog is a sponsor) it's a good 20 minutes. I think RUclips has stricter rules around ads / product placement etc. so they'd have to make it clear that Brewdog is a paid sponsor which is kind of at odds with how they frame the LaOut thing on Spotify.
IMO the RUclips cut is better as it's just the show without the adverts.
Got to love crouch so honest had a good dad. Shows loans work Kane too Ferdinand was loaned out too.

Has Crouchy ever considered the Footballer Agent career? Surely he's picked up a few crafty negotiating tactics he could use, through his experience, he's got plenty off contacts and he naturally seems to be a fair guy who would easily gain young players trust for that!
IMO:- He'd bring a different side to the agent role, say, in comparison to Pogba's Agent who is financially driven (it would seem), whereas Crouchy would be seeing it from a player's angle and the love off the game?
P.s. Crouchy/Defoe, Crouchy/Keane partnerships though 🔥🔥
