Fun fact: At 1:26 Gary asks “why is it that Norwegian stew is the same as scouse?”. Norwegian stew, or “Lapskaus” as we call it, is a traditional Norwegian dish, and alongside porridge, that’s what the vikings usually ate. The vikings often travelled to the UK to plunder, and more specifically, they travelled a lot to Liverpool since it’s close to the sea, and the vikings would travel with their ships. They brought porridge, and more importantly, they brought lapskaus. Lapskaus would later be shortened to “skaus” and then scouse, which is also the reason why people from Liverpool are called scousers!😄 PS: I absolutely adore Solskjær, he was my childhood hero, as I am a Norwegian and a die-hard United fan!
The best overlap by far. Having a Man U legend talking about his time there priceless. I sensed emotions in Ole when he spoke about his time at Man U. Man, he loves that club

@@tessa7582 What has football come to if players don’t want captaincy or to even answer some questions for fear of retribution? - it absolutely is a lack of character. It’s got nothing to do with mental health. People need to stop conflating the two things. You build character for the journey you have signed up for. Mental health is not a term to be frivolously thrown around because you have not built what it takes to focus and be disciplined. Captaincy and answering questions is not exactly a punishment by any stretch of the imagination. It should be an honour. I’m 10 minutes into the interview segment and I have to admit, it is INSANELY good so far. As a Liverpool fan it’s good to see his honesty about 5-0 and the other games near to his departure.
Really?? He talks about possession being 50-50 up until half-time. The stats say the whole game was 62-38 for Liverpool and as you were 4-0 up at half-time I find what he says hard to believe. He's deluded.

He’s still emotional talking about his dismissal and leaving. Such a great fan and guy. Love him. ❤
I must say the way Carra is able to pick up the little nuances in situations and is able to self reflect is commendable…
100%. I think he brought the conversation into more fine detail at times. Brilliant

Imagine a true club legend telling you "buy this player, he is the one" for 20 mill and Utd not listening to him, great example of where the clubs been since Sir Alex left. Roy what a legend, drives through the Norwegian snow for 9 hours to check on a mate, captain on and off the pitch even today.
Yeah, and then the next manager says "buy him" and they’re willing to overpay four times for a certain Brazilian right winger. That just sums up this club these days.
Bro.. While I agree missing out on Halaand was an issue (not desputing that part at all)
I dont think Perez will sign a player just because Ramos says so
I dont think City will sign a player just because Aguero says so
I dont think Arsenal will sign a player just because Henry says so..
So not listening to a club legend as big an issue as you are making out..
@@axxamitGood point. For me Haaland wasn't even the worst failure. How can Bellingham be at Carrington and United aren't able to buy him. Everyone knew he was talented. Give him an offer he can't refuse. Ole wanted him as well. It's unbelievable.
@@akeemguy7331Madrid did sign players based on Zidane's word. Plus, Haaland was banging in goals even when young, it should have been an obvious choice.
Haaland was never coming to Man Utd, his entire family despise that club. He was defo gonna say no. But the rest of the signings we should’ve obtained and proof what a bunch of prats the Glazers are
Fun fact: At 1:26 Gary asks “why is it that Norwegian stew is the same as scouse?”. Lapskaus would later be shortened to “skaus” and then scouse, which is also the reason why people from Liverpool are called scousers!😄
PS: I absolutely adore Solskjær, he was my childhood hero, as I am a Norwegian and a die-hard United fan!
Sjømannskirken introduced lapskaus to Liverpool when an influx of Norwegian fisherman moved there
Northumbria or whatever was hit first by the Vikings
It comes from Norwegian sailors during the Industrial Period in the 1800's when Liverpool was a major port

@@tessa7582 What has football come to if players don’t want captaincy or to even answer some questions for fear of retribution? - it absolutely is a lack of character. A gunnar, you could say
You need people like Ole in your company, family, team, or a group to succeed. Unselfish and kind. The downside side of that is, people like Ole don’t achieve the level of success they can simply because of their giving nature. But the world is beautiful because we have different personalities like Roy, Ole, Cantona, etc. Beautiful interview ❤
So, so much respect for Ole. Always rated him highly and after watching this interview my respect level for him climbed more levels higher.
