I’m 10 minutes into the interview segment and I have to admit, it is INSANELY good so far. As a Liverpool fan it’s good to see his honesty about 5-0 and the other games near to his departure.
Really?? He talks about possession being 50-50 up until half-time. The stats say the whole game was 62-38 for Liverpool and as you were 4-0 up at half-time I find what he says hard to believe. He's deluded.
I was looking over the rim of the stadium as full time approached and could just make out the lights from passing ships. The atmosphere around me was more resignation than frustration and then everything changed! Even City’s treble can’t take the gloss off it.

Best episode to date. Seems like the most genuine down to earth bloke around! I’d have Ole back as Manchester United manager in a heartbeat, purely for the fact that he connected the match going fans with the team in a way we haven’t seen post Fergie. Seems like a top bloke 🤣
I remember when GNev was getting hounded because he wasn't directly calling for Ole's sacking at Utd. He was critical and unbiased but still loyal to his mate
Literally by far my favourite video released and my favourite podcast. The people are so down to earth and they seem so comfortable to just talk about everything. The behind the scenes are always such a treat, nice of Ole to ask how Phil was doing, then getting grilled afterwards for the miss 😂😂
Ole comes across as an honest and humble bloke. The United hierarchy during his reign pretty much set him up for failure, yet he exited with complete dignity. Tons of respect and love to Ole.
The heirarchy was bad, but it sounds like the players also weren't up for it. Imagine Sir Alex being sacked before 92 because players didn't believe in him.
Another great show as always lads. Have to say, this was one of my favourite. Ole comes across a real genuine guy. And Roy, what a great gesture going to see ole. Really see the real side of him on this pod.
But, the point OGS was suggesting is right. Fred's legs in midfield were an asset. However, his inability to complete a 5-yard pass wasn't, and that was ultimately what let Fred down!
Ole is a class act and seems like the ultimate team player. Roy's banter kills me every time, his cheeky digs at players is hilarious. Wrighty's personality is so wholesome, love how he wears his heart on his sleeve. This show is awesome!
This is a great interview and it sounds like Ole's learned a lot in retrospect. It also explains how United managed to get such a long unbeaten away run going but somehow kept stumbling at home. I wouldn't object to having him back under Sir Jim. It showed that he knew how to get his team to play to their strengths but allowed the pressure of Old Trafford to get him to play "the United way" to get the better of his judgment. Counter attacking teams can be just as exciting to watch as well as the United teams that he played in.

Yes he could’ve been more assertive and tackled the “player power” culture. Yes he could’ve been tactically a bit better at times. But man O man we haven’t seen anything close to a 5-0 or 9-1 win since he left. Whatever people’s opinions on Ole as a manager. I will always love and appreciate him for the player and servant he was for us. None more loyal and few better
Ole, we love you! Personally, I would trade every post-Fergie tenure for Ole at the wheel any day. The atmosphere, the vibe was just unmatched. Yes, we lacked consistency, but we were unpredictable, we could beat everyone. We were scoring for fun. We were the comeback kings once again. We were unlucky many times, primarily with the De Gea penalty. Your time in charge is hugely underrated. Be proud of that!
And there still was a steady progress. Like Ole said in the interview, regarding the style of play with new signings like Ronaldo and Sancho, that it was about the next big step up and improving the style of play. His and the coaching staff's intentions seemed pretty genuine and it's just unfortunate the direction in which the whole thing went.

He's my favorite United manager in the post-Fergie era. Like he said, the inconsistency was appaling. But at least when we won, we hit a jackpot several times. And you can always see he's a humble, honest, and a good person. He was sacked too soon and the one replaced him wasn't even better than him.
The rapport and respect between these folks is why these interviews are unrivalled. One of the best yet - kudos to Gary and the others for bringing the best out of Ole.

100%. I think he brought the conversation into more fine detail at times. Brilliant
Very sharp mind
Imagine a true club legend telling you "buy this player, he is the one" for 20 mill and Utd not listening to him, great example of where the clubs been since Sir Alex left. Roy what a legend, drives through the Norwegian snow for 9 hours to check on a mate, captain on and off the pitch even today.
Yeah, and then the next manager says "buy him" and they’re willing to overpay four times for a certain Brazilian right winger. That just sums up this club these days.

@@axamitidynamitGood point. For me Haaland wasn't even the worst failure. How can Bellingham be at Carrington and United aren't able to buy him. Everyone knew he was talented. Give him an offer he can't refuse. Ole wanted him as well. It's unbelievable.
