    How about "light tubes?" You could take a clear tube and put LEDs at either end of it. Maybe you've got an idea for it? Hang them from ceilings, mount them to walls etc. Might be cool for interesting videos to add a lot of depth.

      Great tutorial video, but I agree that the triangle catch lights are odd. I imagine that if you did the same thing, but had more sides (perhaps 6 or 8) that it would be much less obvious. A bit more work, but not excessive.

  • @fabianfeldmann4500

    Thanks for the idea :). Am I Right to assume that the power option with the USB Powerbank is limited to 12W, since most single USB ports are limited to a maximum of 2.4A (5V)? Does the transformer maybe accept two USB connections for 24W? You mentioned in the comments that the power draw (I assume from the 12V battery) is about 1.3A which hints to a higher wattage than 12W, so with USB power the light should be slightly dimmer?

    Hey Caleb can you do a top 5 or top 10 video series for cheap video fluid heads, or monopod video heads. I know there are good review heads like the qzsd video head, the yungteng yt950 I think I saw that in the paper back drop video. It would be great no one else has done a top 5or top10 under $100 video head video. Thanks again. 👍

  • @shawnbassplayer
    @shawnbassplayer 7 лет назад

    Awesome. The only thing I would change is that I'd add some sides. Maybe 1"-2" sides that were white on the inside so that you don't have so much spillage. It'll give you a better catch light with the LED's.

    Suggestions for doing this with Li-ion batteries instead? They usually are 3.7v, I imagine if you soldered a pack for 3-4 batterys in serial you could get like 11.1-14.8? That would be like 4 batteries with some sort of resistor? if you solder them in parallel instead of serial you can get more mAhs but I don't know enough about resistors for this.

  • @joshzytkiewicz

    Instead of soldering, consider getting the LED connectors that clip on. The clips will allow you to reconfigure the strips into different shapes, squares, pentagons, crosses, etc.
    Another idea, use the Philips HUE light strips, more expensive yes, but almost limitless colors and voice control.

    • @JasonAppahIAm

    • @DennisMoncla
      @DennisMoncla 6 лет назад +2

      I have used clip on connectors numerous times and all to often they fail to make good connections. A few minutes of solder now will save more than that in frustration in the future.

    • @johanness6545
      @johanness6545 5 лет назад

      Well, soldering is more consistant and I wouldn't recommend the hue because they are more "lifestyle" products. Buy high cri led stripes and if you want rgb but white looks cruel on rgb so I wouldn't recommend that. And voice control is totally unnecessary
