I owned one. This is the last hand assembled Mercedes. The head liner and any other non-leather parts of the interior is either made of wood or suede, not Alcantara, the cheap stuff. The only vehicle that cost is not an issue. I regret selling it. I was just stupid.
Derek would love to see a video pertaining to everything associated with purchasing a vehicle and shipping it to the U.S. pertaining to all the actual costs and paperwork. I know you did one for Canada but would love to see one for the U.S. Thanks for all the great videos and info you provide! Also in a past video you were talking about getting a mechanic so he could look over the cars for customers. Any luck on that?

Are you familiar with the big issue that the 91 to 96 W140s use a Biodegradable wiring harness. They WILL DESOLVE OUT OF NOWHERE..YOU NEED TO CHECK TO SEE IF ITS BEEN RESOLVED OR UPDATED YET. ITS SOMETHING THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED..HOPE THAT HELPS..I had a 96 SEC500 AMG and now have a 97 SEC600 AMG I PICKED UP WITH 38,433 MILES WITH ALL RECORDS AND ALL SERVICE WAS ACTUALLY DONE AT Park Place Mercedes-Benz ...Anyway I paid $4000 and since I in fact was Head of BECK IMPORTS Mercedes&Lamborghini Service Dept. I know these cars inside and out...and what problems to look for..On this Chassis which is the W140...Never mess with one that has AC or ANY HVAC problems because its an automatic minimum $3000 u.s. and that is regardless if it is the dealer or ANY quality shop. the entire dash must be completely removed which when done is a 24 to 30 hour job. Its NO JOKE..The SEC 600 AND THE 4 DOOR S 600 HAVE 1.4 MILLION PARTS!!!! KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A 1992 -1995 500E which is THE HOT ROD MERC..IT WAS TRULY BUILT IN STUTTGART BY PORSCHE FOR MERC AND IT HAS THE 5 LITER OVERHEAD CAM H.O.V8...AND PUSHES 400HP WHICH IS QUITE A # FOR THE DAY.. PLUS IT WAS UNDERRATED AND IS ACTUALLY PUSHING 450...I have a 94 and the Dyno doesnt lie.. Take care
