Man I'm not too impressed with the battery powered equipment. Seem like it doesn't mow as good to me, but I'm just not a fan of the battery stuff myself! Good work as always though brother!!
It does a nice job on a manicured lawn, but this grown up mess hadn’t been mowed in 2 months lol. But I hear you man. Battery isn’t for everyone. I had the chance to try this mower out for a week and put it to the test. Appreciate you taking the time to watch! 👍
Seemed like the blades are not up to par. It lasted a good amount of time but it looked like it had to be gone over to many times to cut it. But I'm with you on being not much on the battery powered stuff.
It took me a minute to recognize that property. That's the sketchy one where dudes wanted to go shooting :) I'm impressed with the battery!! That mower is more suited to regular lawns though. You could probably run regular lawns all day with power left over!
Man, you drive that thing pretty well - one handed like that. I've been using a Greenworks 60V mower for the past 3 years and still love it. It is NOT as powerful as a gas mower, but it does pretty well. I just have to cut more often. Snap in a battery, push the start button, and we're off and cutting with almost no effort. I like that.
Ventrac can do it right the first time and saving time and money, have you seen what they do to the earth to make batteries ..... plus the the rising cost of electricity
Didn’t struggle for me. Has a ton of power. But this mower comes standard with low lift blades. You’re not going to chop it all up and disperse clipping very well cutting 4ft tall grass unless you swap them out for high lift blades. But then you’ll lose battery life if you do that. But you are correct, it’s definitely designed for weekly lawns. Not overgrown lawns lol. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
I cannot even imagine how much this unit cost. The regular zero turn battery power price is through the roof I cannot even imagine what this would cost. I would imagine it would take a long time to see the savings in the price of fuel and maintenance I would think after that point you would probably need a new battery. I am trying to see that you test this out when you started I did not think it was going to go through to the end. Not only did it make it through there you have plenty of energy left.
And the price of fuel will raise, too. When the steam engine was invented it was not perfect and most people said, this is devil's machine. When you take look Mr Benz's automobile you would say what crappy shit. The first plane... etc. Fuel is not endless and we have to think about what's coming next.
The electric stuff is pretty solid. On this particular mower, the reason why it doesn't shoot grass way out is because it comes with low lift blades. It's not designed to lift and shoot grass way out. If you swapped blades then you would see more grass being cut and thrown out. But to conserve power, they run low lift blades on the Grandstand Revolution. Thanks for watching!
Why not refence the area and put 2 beefers out there and let then mow it down..seems like your wasting a lot of grass. Thx for the video..I wonder how many amp hours your battery is and how much a replacement costs?
For a commercial operator with high a fuel cost could be a goer but not practicable for the weekend mowing. However the more they sell the cheaper they will get. Hopefully.
This mower runs low lift blades to conserve battery power. If you swapped them out and threw on high lift blades, you would get the lift to cut it nice and smoooooooth. 😎
I am impressed. I didn't think it could do it. I also didn't notice any loss in power as you were cutting. That being said I have a few questions. 1. did you charge it at any time during this cutting session ? 2. how much did the mower cost ? 3. how many batteries does it take and how much do the batteries cost ?
The machine sales for $33,900.00. I would say it's half of that. They do offer 2year replacement for the battery from what I have read. Don't know if that is accurate though
@@garymonsarratt6048 Toro Revolution GrandStand® 52" (132 cm) (18560) $33,999.00 I agree! Just my opinion, I think eventually thats all going to be offered to the consumer. If it does, I will be buying goats. 😁
Hey It did the job. I think blades needed a sharpen or use of another model blade. I guess battery life depends on what type of electric motors and components used. Nice video
It’s the blades. They come with low lift blades to conserve battery power. And they don’t lift the grass as well when cutting. Definitely would do better if you had some high lift blades on there. Thanks for watching!
Saw you mention in a few comments they run low lift blades to save power....so when you have to cut the same spot 2-3 times are you really saving anything? I highly doubt it. Throw some regular blades on it and mow a tall property and see what it does. Curious how much more power it takes...maybe revisit that same property again after it grows back up. If you were mowing a regular weekly lawn with that battery powered mower I bet it would be fine, but trying to mow down 2-3 foot tall weeds and grass with that thing isn't impressing me at all LOL. It just don't have the blade tip speed and the right blades on it to do the job right.
It has 8 batteries. Each battery is $1500. The mower comes with a 4 year battery WARRANTY! Battery is expected to last 9000+ hours! 😳. They put low lift blades on this mower to conserve battery power. If you throw on a set of high lift blades, you’ll lift the grass more and it will give a cleaner cut in one pass. Hope that makes sense. Appreciate you watching! 👍😎💯
The grass is not that tall and he keeps making adjustments to try to make it cut better .Im sure he's wondering the Eighty Thousand that he payed for two Electric Grand stands was worth it . I'm sure if he only cutting of a inch would be fine .
I mow a yard bigger than that with a well used but perfectly tuned Weedeater 22" . Flat head Briggs 5hp. Cost me a whooping $8.65 at an Oklahoma thift store. They threw in a supesized payday bar.
In watching the way you mow . You move pretty fast, that requires you having to back over it again and maybe again. I Would the mower not cut more the first time over if you slowed down.
I'm impressed in the fact that it actually cut it...But..Im not impressed with the way it cut...maybe its just the way it looks in the video, but it looked like it didnt cut well.
One of the reasons that it doesn't cut an overgrown lawn a little better than this is because of the factory blades that they put on these machines. They are actually more of a low lift blade. A high lift blade would have done a much better job and cutting it nice and smooth and chopping it all up. But that would have also taken a lot more power to spin those high lift blades while cutting up so much material. It knocked it down though. Plenty of power and plenty of battery left to spare. Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
They run low lift blades on their battery powered mowers. You can run high lift, but it will require more power to keep them turning. Appreciate you watching!
I believe the blades are good. I too had two rows of grass left behind when I made initial cuts. I replaces my spendls and the all my cuts were perfect. To me it was easy to replace costing about $30 per spindle
Nice machine. It did the whole lawn on one charge with lots left. I am inpressed with it. If the price i seen in here is right i guess i will never own one tho. I guess i will have to stick with my push battery powered lawn mower..lol
Thanks for watching! Pretty incredible machine they have designed. It’s going to be out of reach for a lot of lawn care guys, but it’s still cool to see the new technology. Which battery powered push mower are you using right now?!

I like Toro a lot. My last two zero turns have been Toro. But the pricing on this guy is just over the top. Hope with time efficiencies catch up and they can bring the pricing down to reality.
Battery units like the one he used do not do well in tall grass as you saw in the video and are outrageous in cost. They also do not do well in thick centipede type grasses. Battery units simply do not have the power gas engine mowers have. The only electric property maintenance machine that I have used that works as well or better than gas is a leaf blower.
Yeah, would like to try it out long term and give you guys more feedback. I’m interested to see how it holds up long term. Appreciate you taking the time to watch! 👍

For my business it’s not a question of can a battery zero turn do the work. The deciding factor is my profit margin with the commercial grade equipment costing $36,000 and up….it costs too much. I am a one man business and I mow on an average of $1000 and up for every 10 gallons of gas. So $40 bucks gas overhead per $1000. I use an EGO spin trimmer and an EGO push mower for tight spots, they work great for my job. Other than being greener and being quieter there is no incentive for me to buy in at 36k. I'm not overly concerned with the cost as I have customers who are asking for a 'green' solution. I can actually charge more. I have been doing a lot of research on that machine before going to my dealer. I have heard a lot of great feedback, but also some negative feedback. For example, Toro had some technical problems. Toro provided a service kit, but now the machines only run at 6mph max. If that's true that won't work for me. I tried contacting Toro directly but no comment. Has your machine experienced any issues? Does the machine still running per original factory specification? I have also heard that some owner of that machine complained how he missed a few payments and Toro shut the machine down remotely. I know they have a connected data feed to the machine, but didn't know they could take remote control of the machine. Is this all true, or internet BS? Thanks for your thoughts...Chivy
Not impressed...yet. i think there are too many passes, i am almost positive you will learn better adjustments and techniques specific to this mower to get time and effort down in extraordinary situations. Will wait and see what you think in a couple of months. But that price
I’ll check with the Toro company and let you know what there plans are for Australia market. Right now, they are just going into production here in the US. Appreciate you watching the video!
That battery powered mower is a flop for costing 20-30k, you have to go back over the grass at least once. Maybe 7-10k for that mower at the very most. Good job though.

Hey mate that is some serious bit of gear I wonder if we have them down here in Australia yet
I’ll check with the Toro company and let you know what there plans are for Australia market. Right now, they are just going into production here in the US. Appreciate you watching the video!
We have them in New Zealand mate so aussie should have them
So thats a nice mower but I wonder if the Ventrak would have saved you time.
Good job 👏
Thanks! Appreciate you watching the video! 💯
I don't like battery powered equipment but thanks for sharing
Dang looks like your cutting hay to be baled❤❤
This grand stand looks like it works good to me
That battery powered mower is a flop for costing 20-30k, you have to go back over the grass at least once. Maybe 7-10k for that mower at the very most. Good job though.
Anyone cutting grass that tall would flip the grass shoot up to keep the grass from plugging up.
Wanted to put it to the test to see if it would bog with the chute down. 👍 Thanks for watching! 😎
Dude you used it like a Brush Hog.
Bad idea seems like the more load on a battery it would drain it quicker!!
Man this thing was impressive. Barely moved the battery life 😯
Don't show this vid to CA Gov Newsom - otherwise he will (illegally) mandate that all lawnmowers and landscaping gear be all electric battery operated !!!
That's law passed in California. Beginning 2024 ! Which is a bunch of bull!
@@user-DR.James87 watch how tough it is to get anything mowed there now the whole state is gonna be a overgrown pile within a few weeks. Battery gear cost way too much for most people or companies to afford and to top it off it doesn't last long enough for commercial use
😂😂😂😂
@@travis10ist I expect that people will do what another person did around here in East Bay SanFran. He said F-I - tore out the lawn, poured concrete and sprayed it lawn grass green !!! Otherwise, those will convert their lawns into wild weeds and flowers and claim that the area is now a sanctuary (as WA property designations now allow up to 20% of property taxes to be relieved - because you planted flowers and herbs for the birds and bees. Then one only needs to deal with any water sub-surface drip irrigation (hiding water use - and higher water use costs !!!). Just do it - and get rid of the lawn grass - mower, maintenance costs, gas, landscaping service costs - and return back to the ancestor's grounds.
What this really means is that this BS, like electric cars is going to crash the gas vehicles (and diesel 18 wheelers in CA or coming into CA, and push further people to leave this s-hole, ... not deliver into CA, destroy the employees of the landscaping industry ... further unemployment, higher social support systems - i.e. higher taxation.
These people are truly treasonous and need to be removed from power, finances, and influences.
💯
Thanks for watching! 👍
For 32k it had better cut down trees debark them and cut them into uniform 2x4s 2x6es and 2x8s
Oh now, lol. I definitely get what you’re saying though. It has a Steep price tag attached to it. Hopefully, the price will go down in the future. Thanks for watching!
Nice
WOW That is Nice. I like it!!!
It’s so quiet! And packs plenty of power. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. 👍
Welcome to California home of newsom land
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I will retire before going electric w/ mowing.
Ohhhhhh now lol. What mowers you running right now?!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri wright ZK52” standerI 36”. Picking up ZK 61 or 72 after Jan. 1st Forgot the FW15 for small gated yards
Ohhhh yeah! Nice man!
Trying out the Wright ZXL right now. 👍
It is like everything else...they come out with something new...and the price is out of control...I say this..dont buy it.when no one can afford the price..they will lower that price or they will not sell them at all..
Impressive.
Would stick with gas power… price is way too high
It’s so weird having no noise, and then you press a button and it just roars to life. Lots of views and less than a quarter of the likes. Shame on people. If you’re going to watch the least you can do is like.
Why?
34K get out of town with that environment destroying electric behemoth. The tech has a long way to go.
One Tesla moroter to power the blades will do it
There you go. Thanks for watching!
💚👍👍👍
$35,000 is insane. Wish I had one though.
All that recut stuff product of blaces ? Not ev stuff,,,still like a diesel kabota
I would like to try a diesel mower someday. I just like the reliability of the diesel engines. Thanks for watching!
I hope they gave you that mower for free. That sob is junk
Machine no good
Why no good?
Your 1st mistake was using a battery powered mower. Your second mistake was brush hogging with a zero turn stander. Your third mistake was backing up too much. Your fourth mistake was leaving the exit chute down. Your fifth mistake was not mowing the opposite pattern on the second pass. Your final mistake was posting this video.
I am not really impressed with it. Liked your video, but not liking the Toro. Ventrac could handle that and gave it a cleaner cut my opinion. Want to talk Ventrac @the lawn care life in mowssiouri?
I’ve got bad news....the Ventrac is down. 😔
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri Oh No! Hope you get it back up soon! I am serious when you see my comments" like to talk Ventrac" Maybe we can talk about Ventrac. Would really like like you input about it! Thanks for taking time to reply back! I appreciate your time!
Why couldn't it handle it???? Scientifically explain why it wouldn't do it??
