Shell DOES stretch - that is what makes it so amazingly comfortable. The way the shell hugs your feet over the time when it is fully broken in is one of the best things about shell cordovan. It clearly feels the best and of course it looks the best. I absolutely can understand your love for this type of leather. I never wanted to try it because I feared that after trying it that I can never go back to calf skin and I was right. It took me almost two years until I was comfortable wearing calf skin again - So amazing was the feeling of the broken in shell and the whole experience. 😂😂😂 It really is THAT good. And I did not even wear Horweens shell, only Italien and Japanese but even those made me an enthusiast. 👞👞👞👞👞👞
Very nice! Yeah many common myths because people think shell is this mythical (get it??) material when in reality it’s just the skin with a specific unique muscular tissue attached that has fantastic characteristics.

Enjoyed your perspective on shell , I have a love hate relationship with Shell , I had two pair a black PA and a blue FS and love them , I recently added a natural HM boot and I just cannot fall in love with them , I’m not exactly sure what it is that I don’t not like but perhaps I need time anyway great video !
Thanks! It’s just an extra set of acme shoe trees. Best fitting shoes I’ve ever had so figured I’d use the extra shoe trees in the loafers to make them take a bit of a similar shape over time.
