I like Allen Edmonds. The vast majority of my dress shoes as well as casual shoes. They are still made in Wisconsin sans a few of their junk/casual shoes.
I just did as well - in Dark Chilli with Dainite soles for the BF sale of $199 minus 10% for signing up for texts. I think the 5ths bridge the gap between park ave's and the less formal wingtips discussed here. Also got the Higgins Mills on Seconds discount minus the 10%.
Another good review, Tom, on Allen Edmonds and their fall sale that started this week. I am interested in the Dalton Wingtip boots in Dark Chili, but I also like their Higgins Mill Weatherproof boot. I currently have four pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes and am very happy with all of them. You do a good service for those men trying to select quality shoes.
Love the brand and boots. I find the shoe lasts aren't sleek enough. Might be best for individuals with larger feet. Great video! Really starting to consider a pair of wingtips!
I thought you did an excellent job of showing the value of AE , as an avid collector I think this is the best sale all year long . Keep up the great video’s !
i just picked up the dallas roper and the austin engineers. with the sale price, coupons, and rewards dollars, the price was awesome. the roper has a beautiful horween leather and a half sole, i would put these above many western brands, especially given the price, perhaps a step below rios of mercedes. it may seem surprising to see them introduce western styles but i think so far the design and materials have impressed me. just to note the soles like many western boots wont last terribly long.
I found a new pair of Leeds plain toe Blouchers for $25 at the thrift store today. I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. Size 9D. Coffee color. 😮
Picked up the Higgins mill during this sale, my biggest regret was that I got the lug sole and they're garbage, too soft it's like walking on foam I'll run through the heel in six months easily. I can't wait to get them replaced.
Thanks for watching an subscribing Chris! I’m not really into Chelsea boots, but I’ve actually seen someone wearing the Liverpool’s in dark chili. They looked good, and a bonus is that they come with rubber over the leather soles for traction. They look like a good boot!
The company has changed since it was sold. Still a decent Made in America shoe. However, they have added a number of trendy/quasi hipster shoes to their collection.
Great review! However, I would like to see you get a pair of Grant Stone boots and compare them to the AE's. Boots like the Diesel in crimson cxl is a direct competitor to the HM's. I bought both at one time and I ended up returning the HM's because the Diesel's were built much better. Their QC was better, the welt joint was better, and the price was better at $380 retail. Then their are the Ottawa's which are a Norwegian split toe which is a unique style. You should take a look at them and I bet you would never get another AE's boot. :-)
I have to say, now that I’m on a tighter budget, I wouldn’t buy AE boots unless they are on sale. I still like that they do everything in house, including resoles. Grant Stone is on my list to try.
i feel like this sale isnt as good as the one from the previous ones. i got my eye on a pair of woosters since theyre the few loafers that i found that can fit my feet properly.
The sale feels different every year. Certain items are on deeper discounts, but others aren’t. I remember when the Dalton and park avenues were only $50 off, and now they are more discounted, but the Higgins and strand aren’t as discounted.
300..500..700 $ DOESNT MATTER. Their location in Sf could not produce one single shoe that fit my NORMAL 10 size foot. ALL OF THEM WERE PAINFUL. NO matter wehat the size. Then i was told to " suck it up unil they break in" Yeah? Tell that to my orthopedic doctor. You want me to injure my feet whie paying 500$. How about NO. F- U and your pretentoius ill fitting shoes. Yes i wear comfortable department store chinese made dress shoes. They dont injure my feet and are a fraction of the cost. Easily replaced at at reasonable price. STOP BUYING PREMIUM LEATHER DRESS SHOES- THEY REFUSE TO LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.
OVERPRICED AND PRETENTIOUS. YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING STUCK UP YOUR REAR IN ORDER TO ENJOY THESE TORTURE DEVICES. YOUR FEET MUST SUFFER BECAUSE THEY DEMAND IT.
I like Allen Edmonds. The vast majority of my dress shoes as well as casual shoes. They are still made in Wisconsin sans a few of their junk/casual shoes.
I picked up a pair of Fifth Avenue’s. I used their “collector “ points to take another $40 off the $250 sale price.
Nice!

Thank you Steven!
I recommend these shoes based on ownership of several pairs. They are comfortable and reflects a style that endures with time.
Agree, thanks for watching.
We love Allen Edmonds.
Awesome!

They aren’t super sleek, but aren’t bulky either. I find they are just in between, just right.
Thanks for watching!

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!

Wow, great find!

The foam can be comfortable, but I agree that it will wear out much faster. The Dainite is my favorite option.
Thanks for watching.
Will AE have sale on Black Friday? I'm considering buying a pair of boots between AE Higgins Mill and Grantstone Diesel.
They might. I haven’t tried the grant stone boots, but have heard good thing.
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful for me.
You’re welcome, thank you for watching and commenting!
McCallister or Park Ave in dark chili are great 1st buys. With several pairs in rotation and good care these are potentially buy-4-life.
Agree 100%. The two shoes in the color you’ve mentioned are super versatile! Thanks for watching.
The Dalton in Shell Cordovan is like a completely different boot than the calf model.
I’ll have to have a look. I’ve heard shell is much more stiff than calf.
@@tommilano5431 I find that Shell Cordovan conforms to the foot much better.
I appreciate this video! New subscriber! What are your thoughts on their Liverpool chelsea boots?

Agak2 berapa ringgit tuan jual Allan edmonds size 42 black
Those wing tips are walnut not dark chili.
After trying TLB, honestly it's hard to justify anything about $250 and not just wait and spend a little more for a sure so far superior.
The sales are no where near as good as they were. AE shoes are approx $100 higher than they were two / three years ago.
I just got a 5th ave for $179 with Daintie sole. That is a great sale.
