Thank you so much for this video Josh - my manager's inbox is completely out of hand, so I'll be doing this for her and hopefully it will help her no-end! It annoys me when I'm cc'd into things that don't really affect me so I'll be putting this on mine too! (I'm guessing that if you create the destination folder in the deleted items, that would be even better.. will try this)..

Hi Heather, and thank you so much for your feedback - I really appreciate it! 😀 Redirecting to the deleted folder is both a dangerous idea and the correct one! (made me laugh, thank you! 🤓)

Is there a way to do the same with another email ID.
i mean to say, this works only for my email ID, what if i want if i want any incoming email having a sepcific email id other than mine in cc to be shifted to a specific folder. Thanks

To be very honest, I do not use the focused inbox feature so I am uncertain.

Great. Thank you. I _also_ deal with another inbox, that of my job position.
So okay, put it this way.
Supposing that there is an e-mail that is sent to me in the “To” field, and it also has _my line manager’s name_ in the “CC” field.
Let us suggest that I want to put all the e-mails that have _my line manager’s name_ in the CC field in that e-mail into a folder.
How do I go about that? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

@@josh.evilsizor Many thanks for the video.
My apologies, I then wasn't clear enough.
      Two inboxes:
      "Tim Stretton"
      (my name)
      "Design Compliance"
      (my job position)
      Two things:
1 - I am looking for the CC line only, and
2 - I am looking for e-mail received in my job position's inbox called "Design Compliance", i.e.:
      To: [any name(s)]
      CC: Design Compliance
Place all e-mails CC'd to "Design Compliance" into the "CC'd to Design Compliance" folder.
Perhaps this cannot be done. A bit tricky then?

    • @josh.evilsizor
      @josh.evilsizor  Год назад

@@Lichfeldian--Suttonian you are very welcome - sorry I did not provide everything you needed.
To your first requirement, "Cc line only" - unfortunately, as you saw in the video, this is a Microsoft limitation that cannot be overcome (it is possible with Gmail).
However, perhaps if I understood your intent (why you need to do this), it's possible we could find a feasible workaround.
If you'd like send me a loom video (www.loom.com) showing me your email setup and detailing:
      1. The situation (what occurs)
      2. Why it requires modification (the problem to be overcome) and
      3. What you think success might look like
I'd be happy to take another swing at the situation 🤓
