I just did something similar for my hardcore playthrough with all perks. It took me about 20 hours to get my main level to 18, strength, agility, & vitality to 20, herbalism to 17, my stealth and lockpicking to 12, hunting to 10 and speech to 5 for the final offer perk. I also leveled up my archery, mace, sword, and axe into the teens. I did all this while keeping everyone alive and I still finished the prologue with a perfect reputation. Just make sure you lose a few small bets to the guy outside the bar before you leave skalitz.
P.S. I haven’t seen anyone mention this before but a great way to raise your reputation in all of the towns is to spawn the right random encounter battles (there’s maps for where they take place). After combat has ended and you get the positive reputation bonus, use the save and quit option a few times while remaining in the area and it will boost your reputation all the way to 100 without needing to complete quests or barter. It’s a great way to start the game with everyone already having a positive opinion of you and it is the only way that I know of to get various traders all the way to 100.
7:35 if you just knock out the gate guard and take his stuff, when he gets woken up by the other guards he gets new gear. you can use this to farm arrows.

You can also talk to fritz on his way to deutch's house and he will give you the picks. Secondly, you pacify your friends when you're done leveling your weapons so as to get out of combat. After an extended period of time, something like 10-15 real world hours of consecutive gameplay, johanka and guards will respawn. I say real world hours as typically after a few in game days NPCs will respawn, but in-game days aren't in effect during this phase of the game.
As a word of caution, if you use the johanka exploit, YOU CANNOT SAVE THE GAME FOR THE REST OF YOUR TIME IN SKALITZ OR IT WILL BE CORRUPTED. I made this mistake once before, and I lost about 5 hours as well. Therefore, this was the last thing I did. Only when you reach the save point given by "run" are you safe from corruption
Stealth leveling is super easy doing the villager knockouts as you mention. However, to avoid killing them, take their clothes. When their clothes respawn, that's the indication that they're ready to be knocked out again. As a bonus, you can sell all the loot you steal to the lady in the house where the catchpole normally leans against. Ofc the loot is discounted.

About 11 months ago in Scalitz, I got every combat stat, except defense, to 20. Along with strength, agility, and vitality to 20; leaving speech at 4. Ending with my drinking at 6, lock picking at 12, and stealth at 11. All of this took around 33 hours and 10 minutes; with 100 reputation. Finally, I haven't obtained ale, collected sword fragments, or threw dung at Dutch's house. Stats are: 1166 animals or people killed. Only 4 of which were civilians that interfered on my multi-hour cow killing adventure.

@@sweatyvetter Yes, although I did knock out the bailiff, catchpole, and shop guard. How I did it is when a dead civilian was found; all the guards and some civilians ran over. Then I just repeatedly bumped the baliff; stopping him in place; until all the civilians and guards left. Ending with me knocking them out. This also allowed me to knock out the catchpole and the two men who normally never leave the inside of the tavern. Of course they eventually woke back up and went back from wince they came.
First off, nicely done video. I recently started over making a 'beefy' Henry, but I only made sure that he could use the broad axe (10 strength) and could shoot a bow without worrying about armor.. and of course hard core mode with all negatives. I left with that... 500+ groschen and enough things to get me going out in the real world. I'm sure ma and pa weren't proud of what I did... but I had to do what I needed to, just like you.

Yeah... its not too hard... get that first guard to catch you trying to rob him and then run to that field on the side.. and fist fight him for some good experience, yoink his stuff and he'll get up and his weapons will respawn ... now before doing this do all the robbing you can... so you have 200 groschen ... cause you'll have to pay off that fine for fighting. make sure you surrender far off from others and when you pay that fine and they turn around you knock them out from behind and take your money back. You'll probably want to save before that. But then you just kinda go from there. But at some point the fine for fighting goes up to 600 groschen and well I just decided to finish pop's mission then and get out of town. @@sweatyvetter

When this game first came out and you make it to the first other town and it’s raining , I just punch horses in the butt n it leveled me up all the way lol
There actually is an npc who will respawn his name is zbeshek, we all know him, we all hate him. I killed him after throwing dung, knocked him out wrung his neck. It was still in the grace period you have during the fight so as far as the guards were aware I didn’t commit a crime. But when I show up to bury my parents he’s there. What a shame.
Thanks for doing this. Now I can justify settings my levels with console commands while in Skallitz on new runs with the excuse "It's technically possible so I'm just skipping meaningless grind"

lol yea i had that infinite loading screen happen to me aswell i tried everything to get passed it console commands mods and nothing worked, when you do the exploit to raise your combat skills by beating up the unlimited health npc's after you trigger the Duetch mission, you gotta complete the rest of the Skalitz section in one sitting can't load saves anymore from that point not until your out of the Village
I recently started my 2nd playthrough, and I took my sweet time before leaving Skalitz this time around :D
It's very fun to mess around and get rich before the game has even really started. God bless that trader lady who will always buy your stolen, blood splattered goods :D

@@luizalves76 As you walk in to town from the smithy, skip the first building on your left, and i think it was the 2nd. Its a shop with a woman trader. She always comments on how the goods are stolen, but then says she'll only pay less for it instead of outright refusing. Its possible this depends on the first skills you choose when talking to mother.

I know this isn’t the point but if you’ve mastered sword and defense, along with strength and agility, you can pretty much win clenches and overhead smash with every other weapon and always come out victorious

yeah, i used to stream how i destroy all the cumans and skallitz folks about 3 years ago.
first of all, take notice that your skills level up without the exp debuff of hardcore, i find it meaningless leveling up for forever regarding some skills.
also, by killing all of skallitz my way, you allready become a god.
i don't take strength from mother but vitality which i find it way more important.
here are the key points for my ways:
when the catchpole gets to the doitch's house he sits down on the bench, then i choke him and take his gear, his gear is hella important cause he has a strong axe that has a 2 strength requirement, which will be all i need.
when training with the sword master, in the "chain" part, just do 1 never ending chain til it kickes you out of the combat arena, which at that point in hardcore with the exp debuff you rach level 2 strength for sure.
right after i choke the catchpole, loot him, don't kill him, gear up, run to the bailliff who also sits down by the tavern, do the same.
now you have amazing gear and you can use it!
i use this part of the game to steal all the maintenance tools to level myself up to level 20 maintenance which is hella important.
put all your loot by the end of the skallitz part in the chest in the kitchen at your house and the loot will wait for you for the end of the prologue.
next
lure the guards to a secluded part such as the combat arena,remove your weapon, surrender, wait for the other guards around to fuck off while you are stuck in the dialogue, then refuse to go to jail, immedietly after the conversation, draw your weapon out, at the same time, the guard will remove his weapon cause you were unarmed when this fight started, so now you fight 1 v 1 against a guard while he is unaramed and you are geared. GG.
i kill all of the cumans pre arrow in the leg part by using a horse to dash into the cumans, i run back and forth from the mill to the northern brige.
also, below the northern brige there is a corpse, you can put all the loot on that corpse then when getting back to skallitz at the end of the prologue, pick it up, crawl your way to skalitz,take your loot from your house and get transported to the rattay mill with all of the gear.
EDIT:
i want to add something, once all the guards are dead in skallitz, we can do whatever crime we want without a worry in the world, so no reason to kill johanka or anything of the sort.
the reason i prefer to choke the catchpole and the bailliff while they are sitting is because it is a 100% chance to choke them while when they stand they can remove your hand and then you are DEAD.
fighting the bailliff while he has the mace SUCK ASS, so it would be best to make sure he doesnt have it.
i prefer to fight all the guards cause this way i gain levels in axe,strength,defence,agility,vitality,main level,etc.
at some point we can change to a sword if we want but i think it's pointless.
in hardcore with the exp debuff it's hard leveling up axe,mace, while super easy leveling up sword.
i dont see a reason to chase sheep forever with exp debuff and level up my weapons since it will take 20 hours and more just to do that part.
pickiping up all the flowers in skallitz is MANDATORY, anyone who don't understand this, misses a huge part of the game, there are about 1700 nettles there which you will need in order to craft marigold decoction to level up alchemy, again, with exp debuff takes forever and a huge amount of rescources.
you could start this entire ordeal after tharessa is waiting for the nails, which would make more sense, BUT, than it's a matter of saving and loading on the guards til you get the right gear to do all of what i just described

halberd or lucern hammer are very overpowered when you have high stamina, probably the reason why is not usual weapon in-game
This reminded me about the one guy that reached max lvl in pandarean zone in World of Warcraft.
Pretty cool. But I could have told you this 3 years ago. The best strategy is to max out what you can without killing anyone, but the animals. Most of the NPCs are important, till their night escape. I don't know if it's designed that way, or glitch. The save file always corrupts. But if you can do this again without file corruption, I believe you get 6 total manual saves from the Bar. And I'm surprised you didn't use any Schnapps.
Technically the prologue only ends till after you bury Henry's parents. So I would say it's still valid to use Talmberg to level up, before you make your escape, out of Talmberg. And the Cuman outside Skalitz (when you are escaping,) are good source of Horseriding XP. If I remember right, there are 10 of them in total.
For sure! I was considering including Talmburg as well if I ever tried something similar again. You get a couple more schnapps from the chest in your house as well!

@@sweatyvetter Skalitz named NPC are important for side missions in Rattay and Sasau. Apparently if your reputation gets too low from shenanigans in Skalitz, it removes your ability to start those side missions. That's when you get a corrupt file, this can happen when you are in Skalitz, when it's being attacked or when you go back for Henry's parents. You can kill the guards, stealthy or headshots. So you won't lose your reputation. The best strategy is to save just before. It's basically the game telling you, action has consequences.

I can't believe anyone else has not said it already but I am going to say that this is a really well done video overall.
This KCD strategy is valid but will drive you nuts if you're trying to fully max out, especially if you get the loading wheel of death.
Do you have any other saves around the area to not make it so painful redoing it all?
But other than that, I would only get to level 5-7 in certain things then run out of Skalitz like a boss. Level 20 is doable as you've shown.

I'm currently trying to figure out a glitch i had where my armor, weapons, and tiredness are not dropping while in Skalitz. Super helpful for sure but im kinda clueless at the moment.

You know you joke about the wagon tactic but that is actually a real tactic they used in the Hussite wars lol they’d make a circle of a wagon train and they used crossbows, bows, early firearms, etc. on the enemy. I’m not gonna pretend I’m a expert in ancient history and tactics so I could have details wrong but I do know for sure they’d stand in wagons and fight the enemies from the cover inside the wagons
Sustainable Mugging in Kingdom come Deliverance is possible once you sleeper hold someone take everything and don't re-mug them until their gear resets, if someones health is 2 low when you knock them out they will otherwise not survive, also don't kill the guards their gear respawns and you can get endless arrows, and I have gotten 19 levels in Herbalism in Skalitz there are likely enough plants just outside gatherable during run, to get to 20, speech is the most difficult to level so I would always take 2 levels in speech at the start, oh and you can lure people to places around skalitz by whistling for your horse in the right places including getting them to relock doors, and cooking poached meat means it can sold without being marked as stolen...
Ohhh great advice! If I ever decide to run this back, I’ll definitely have to implement some of these tactics! Do you know how long it typically takes for gear to reset?
Also, I was trying to contain this run to just inside the walls of Skalitz and not include “Run!” Just to limit myself even further.
@sweatyvetter I believe it is similar to the cows and sheep when assets load in and out mostly some NPC's will not reset but many do the guards, merchants and the guy loading the hay wagon all do though...

For lockpick u can actually kill all the merchants. Every single on e of them got his own hard chest to open so u can grind on it. All u need to do is to open all the chests (all the store doors too) get the exp for hard picks save and return to the menu and load it again so every single one of them is locked again.Way faster in my opinion than just waiting for them to close it. After they're dead every load close their chest locks until we open it again.

Above everything. I hope we get a COMPETENT Henry this time. Not necessarily a full master, but competent in all major skills.
Not having to spend the first 20 hours learning to swordplay again ITS A MUST for this new game.
Here are a few ideas of how they could easily do that:
1° Let us actually chose an archtype this time. From Henry the Rogue; Henry the Valiant Knight; Or Henry the Archer. Something like this with bonus to each skill associated.
2° Let us choose weapon specializations from the start. Swords, maces, axes, etc. To ease us 8nto combat again this time.
3° Give us GOOD gear from the beginning, for the few first hours of the Prologe, then take it away from us after a trap or something.
4° Let us actually become a FULL ON KNIGHT in this game. With all the honors and challenges that that brought to people back then. Give us some quests to be able to actually HIRE squires to work for us, npcs that we can train and take to the field to batle, or to help with support or other skills. Something like that.
5° Let us actually have a fief to manage in this game. Or maybe businneses that we can manage. Maybe a Blacksmith workshop, or a potions shop. Gives us the option to become TRADERS or something.

3:40 Ehm, that is not correct. You can get Fritz's lockpicks before you have the Deutsch fight scene if your character knows you need them and you talk to Fritz before the fight scene happens...

Great video. For some reason the Bailiff in Skalitz drops the Captain's Mace and not Bailiff's Mace. Could you clarify how you and where you got the Bailiff's Mace in Skalitz Prologue. Thanks.

Bro I liked the video mostly but one critique I would like to give is that you just have way too many cutaways. At least for my preference. It becomes a bit distracting and just seems over the top. Tone it down to maybe 1/3 of the current amount and I think it would be so much better. This is just my input though and I could just stop watching but I felt I at least wanted to be constructive. Another thing is the cutaways were not consistent either. 11:12-11:52 there were no cutaways whatsoever. 11:52-12:13 there were 12 cutaways in a fourth of the time. The audience doesn't wanna pause the video because they didn't have enough time to understand what was happening and they don't wanna just move on without pausing it either. Hopefully you understand what I mean here. The cutaway just kind of loses it's meaning when there are so many of them, especially in such a short period of time

Don’t know if you ever tried this again but I saw on other peoples videos that doing this was patched a few years ago. I guess the developers saw people doing this and storing goods in the crate so they patched it so that you would lose stuff you stored also. I guess what fun would the game be maxing everything out in the prologue anyway.
hmmm worked when i tried it recently to make this video! Didn't have all that many issues with it. And i just did it for the challenge!
@@sweatyvetter but I think that patch is what messed it up for you when it corrupted your save data. I’ve looked at other peoples guide to maxing out skills early and I saw at least two different videos where people were complaining the patch wasn’t allowing them to keep the items and upgrades. I could be tripping because I just got the game but if you look at some other channels I know you’ll see other people complaining about this as well.

do you mean that crate in henry's parents house? if you mean that crate in henry's parents house. you are supposed to take all the stuff out of it right before the cutscene in skalitz to bury his parents. you walk outside overencumbered to the cutscene with runt clobbering you then when you wake up later at the miller's house, all the stuff you were carrying is in your personal crate by the bed.
Can confirm. This is still a viable strategy. The patch did not eliminate using the chest in your house with the nails to hold everything, and acquiring it again before the encounter with runt. Past that though, you're SOL
do I need to kill the two guards who give you the cross guard I got arrested by them last time I didn't and when should I start the quest for father?

Is the captain's mace the same as the bailiff's mace or is that something different? When I killed the bailiff he dropped captain's mace instead and if it is different do you know where to get the bailiffs mace now?

there is better guard to kill first. It's that gate close to the fight. It's pretty far from anyone and he is there alone whole day. Overally great job! ( btw that gifs in edit you use are pretty cringe and video would be better without them in my opinion )
