5:16 Haha. I had the exact same sleepwalk and wake-up in Uzhitz experience during the Hunting with Hans quest when I took a nap. I love the KCD hardcore mode so much.
I love coming up with role play reasons for different play styles and restrictions. At first I thought being an "honorable" Henry would be boring, but it turns out, the restrictions are fun. Another play line I went with a "dark" Henry: alcoholism, frequently black out, ax murder, all debuffs, realism rules about looting amounts, shopping, maintenance, pretending Henry didn't think to go to Radzig until much later, forcing me to not get easy early armor options (Talmberg took their stuff back) or horse. It was hilariously bad early on. I even punched a Townsman when I was fighting Kunesh early in Rattay, so I had red vision and 10 days of jail. I laughed at Henry's misery.
Wow this video is crazy. When I did my pacifist hardcore run with all the negative perks I took every opportunity to get money and skills because of how hard and frustrating was it. But I must had took it a bit far because when I spoke to Sir Radzig the first time in Rattay I had literally 90k Grochen in my pocket, gold plated armor and even the best horse in the game at that point so I was ready for it. But to get money and even loots from only quests now that's another level in hardcore with all negative perks :D
It’s actually quite similar to my own playstyle - sticking close to the storyline and only using quest related items and rewards, not buying all the top gear and manipulating the market
I did this. I played the game without spending money and all mission money went to pribyslavitz as a retirement gift. It was how i got the "trial and error" achievement. Now, I'm working on merciful and Virgin (on normal mode)
Peshek trains Henry in the stealth skills so it seems perfectly in keeping to lockpick Peshek's stash while he sleeps. I never took more than a percentage of the coin for pocket money. The treasure chests held enough coin to buy any horse along with the best gear available until late in the game. There was plenty for the Pribyslavitz rebuild. I have not tried Hardcore yet. I am looking forward to a 2nd run with everything I learned the hard way during the first time around.
I have over 200 hours and played this game to completion 3 times. How the hell did I not think jumping into the moat in the talmberg prologue would work.
Praise the lord🙌 more kingdome come!!!! Dont just stand there come pour us a drink!!! Maybe try as a huntsman or as a Cuman or even a bandit?? I'd suggest fists only but i fear for the possibility of completion
Yes! I definitely have more planned in the future! :) I’m working on a lowest level build with minimal perks. I wanted to do a drunk Henry but struggling to find a way to make it entertaining in a long form video. I think it’d be more fun in a livestream format!!
@@sweatyvetter I've subbed so you'll see me around, looking forward to seeing what the future brings, I do remember drinking Henry to blackout will make him wake up in random places I can't remember if you need a perk for it though 🤔
Honestly KCD is my favorite game. I really want to see a game that takes the amazing first person experience of KCD and combines it with the expansion and kingdom management of a game like Bannerlord
They all make it look harder than it is though. The thing to accept with this game is realism. Basically youre a knight now, act like a knight, fight on a horse. Dont fight on a horse? Die. Once you understand that hardcore mode is just a mode without "fast travel" which isnt really fast travel as you basically just do the same thing but simulated vs in first person. In terms of old school RPGs its just a regular travel system.
@@sweatyvetter Bow combat is way harder. If youre used to that mounted combat feels a lot easier. Basically youre jousting but your opponents arent on horses. You could always go hunnic though and do a mounted archer thing.
May i suggest @Helical? He plays KDC like no one else, game breaking but entertaining at the same time as he plays with the game mechanics and the fact that his henry is baisically the re-embodiment of the devil
I was doing a run where I can't steal, rob or loot corpses. It was pacifist Henry. The only body I looted was the dead Bandit with the hoofpick. Had no choice but to do it.
Naaah, I don't loot innocent people's corpses, but bandits I kill yeah, my personal houserule though is, if the bandit surrenders I have to let him go, even if he has the nicest armor, it's not too harsh a measure, but it certainly has an effect in the early game, where your weapon is so weak and you can't master strike that your enemies are always surrendering to you, it doesn't apply to Cumans, if it's Cuman, it ain't human, or so they say in Bohemia hehe
So, in other words, you descided to do a "From the Ashes" attached Honorable challenge run. Wow, almost like you didn't give yourself a shortcut. Impressive.
@@sweatyvetter Well... No, actually. Contrary to popular image, honor is not some unwritten code of goodness for a less civilized world. I mean, maybe it is, but a huge amount of it involves looking tough. For an easy example wiki The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Duma (yes, the novel specifically). Our MC (D'Artagnan) is on his way to join The Musketeers of the Guard, when some dude (important later) derides his horse. So, like a three year old, gets mad and decides to fight him. Point is, while there is some niceties about being polite and repaying oath's and debts, most of it is about "avenging" insults (Read as: I insult you/defeat a friend/kill someone important, you have a duty to hunt down and beat up/kill me). That's what honor really was.

i saved up 60k by the time I got to Pribyslavitz and thought i was going to steam role through the rebuilding of the city only to be met by an empty account and 50% completion of the quest

When you pick up herbs it collects them all around you in one pick, with the mod installed you have to pick up each plant which slows you down more than the original pick herb scene cut does which defeats the purpose of having the mod

@@sweatyvetter basically, you gotta keep it off your stats. Poison dealing the death blow doesn't credit you. Your dog's kills don't credit you. Bleeding out sometimes doesn't credit you, probably depending on how long ago your last damage was. Fall damage from the church ladders may work
