  • Hey friends! Today I wanted to talk about an issue that's been going on with an individual who has harassed me and my community members, and is also faking Tourette's. They are TikTok's Newest Tourette's Faker and I wanted to shut this down before it gets any bigger. They are infiltrating a lot of Tourette's communities and causing harm, so please be aware.

As a girl with Tourette's, I would love to spread awareness and education about my disorder, as I feel it is quite misunderstood in today's society. The media has made it out to be a swearing disorder only, which is far from true. I hope this video will educate you on Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders! Life with Tourettes can be difficult, but just know that we're the same as everyone else...except for the fact we tic like clocks! (:
    Thanks for watching!

⚠ Attention to all members of the Ticcing Together RUclips community ⚠
As we most likely all know by now, I have been harassed by Joshua (@damp90) for quite some time, and I have recently made it public knowledge both in my RUclips channel & my discord server. While I appreciate all of the love and concern, I do want to state some things for how we should move forward with this situation as it continues to progress & unfold. Firstly, please DO NOT bully or harass Joshua (@damp90) with hateful messages. By bullying the bully, we just end up becoming the bullies which is unacceptable. I understand a lot of you are upset by what he’s done to me & my community (as well as other communities) but this does not condone us being rude to him back. We need to stand up for what’s right & be the bigger people. That being said, if you do end up getting reached out to by Joshua (@damp90) or if you choose to interact with him, do so appropriately and without malice. Please be cautious & do not become the bullies as I mentioned. I would recommend ignoring him completely if he does reach out to you. Again, I understand that this is an awful situation, but please remember to proceed with kindness. If you have any further questions or concerns, please dm me on discord or Instragram @ ticcingclock. Thank you.

Yeah, he seems to be a kid because he has no idea the effects and toll this will take on his future of getting a solid job and actually securing a house, car, etc.. stupid kid genuinely, and he of course seems like the one to be like "it's not offensive, I'm just showing you what you look like" if he mocks a tic that he sees as funny. I will admit I chuckled but immediately felt bad for Carly having a "I've got rice" tic because I love rice, she can't control it, even though I have my own feelings on the phrase she's saying, it's not ok and I made myself feel bad because it's not a joke. All I know though is even though it's tough to go through very insensitive tics like middle fingers or cuss words, I feel Carly is secretly getting out her anger without saying it to anyone, her body is kinda just telling the haters to fuck off

You can whisper vocal tics as a form of suppression, but it doesn't make the urge go away, and I can only do this for a few minutes before needing to excuse myself to leave the room and let them out, because it makes it really hard for me to breathe and my throat feels like it's closing. So volume control is possible, but it's not sustainable in the long run.

I hope he gets the attention he needs from an appropriate adult, stops or is stopped from trolling on the internet, and grows up into a better a human. It's clear he's said some hurtful things, and wasted many, kind people's time. If everyone in the community watches out for him and refuses to engage, it's likely he'll get bored and find something else to do 🤞. Now he's uncovered and everything's out in the open, I'm sure you'll be able to bring your community back together. I can understand being very disturbed about this behaviour from a 19 year old, luckily he absolutely clearly isn't 19 (I mean, it doesn't even sound like his voice has completely broken, and he's hiding under the covers from his mum). I'm not any sort of analyst, but to me it sounds like this may have started as a genuine admiration for your community- that this user may have wanted to be a part of it, and feel like they belong in a community, pretending to have Tourette's to be accepted. But when they repeatedly acted out of line and you acted appropriately, they became angry because you were cutting them off from this community they didn't deserve, and that they had artificially injected themself into. Now they're pitching a hissy fit and chasing you down/trying to damage your reputation for "wronging them". I’m in my 30s and I suppressed my happy stims for years because a school friend saw me and commented that it was “so cute.” Even though she was being nice, it was just a reminder that I wasn’t appearing normal enough. I’ve only recently started unmasking and embracing my stims. I can’t even imagine how damaging it would be if someone asked me to stim for them!!

@@wioi stims are “self stimulatory actions.” Everyone stims from time to time but people on the autism spectrum stim often because of difficulties with things like emotional regulation. Rocking and hand flapping are very noticeable stims but some stims are more subtle like rubbing fabric, clicking a pen repeatedly, or even outwardly unnoticeable actions like visually tracing floor tiles.

      @sparrow8072 Год назад

@@wioi I missed part of your question. Stims are different from tics because they’re completely voluntary, though necessary for good self-regulation. I don’t have neurological tics, so I can’t speak to that, but if I neglect my sensory and stimulatory needs long enough, then the stress leads to “functional tics” that I can’t control. Stimming when under or overstimulated is one thing I can do that helps to prevent them.

Hi, Carly. New subscriber here. You're brave as all get-out for opening yourself up the way you do. Kudos for trying to be an advocate for your disorder. I, myself, have a neurological disorder, but almost the exact opposite of your problem. You're receiving too many instructions, and I'm not receiving enough. It's advanced diabetic neuropathy. I've been a Type 1 diabetic since the age of seven. (I'll be 56 in July.) I found out just yesterday exactly how bad it is in my hands, where I have very little muscle left.
Below are some timestamped moments that I critique directly, but overall, I wanted to say that you've been too nice with this individual. I think you need to make it clear in your various communities that you have a "one strike and you're out" rule. Him claiming that his tics made him misbehave in a typed chat... How? How does one "accidentally" type something malicious? If a person makes you uncomfortable, then see them to the door immediately. Don't accept apologies. Don't give second chances. If they genuinely have a tic disorder, they'll know better to begin with.
And about his lies... He's a kid. A very dumb, very immature kid. You can tell by that caterpillar residing over his upper lip. He's waiting for a mentally stable adult to teach him how to shave. He's also so scrawny that I want to throw lasagnas at him until he reaches a healthy weight. He's not dangerous. He's the punchline to a very bad joke.
3:38 - His motions are very smooth and coordinated for someone experiencing a tic. Between watching you and Baylen Dupree, I've come to recognize tics being sudden and almost nonsensical. If he had suddenly launched the cup of water over his shoulder, I would have bought into his act. But he deliberately lifts the cup and pours it on his head. That's no tic.
4:40 - Eyes on the camera, very calm, all is well, aaaand... "Action!" Only once he's sure he's in frame and recording is the egg in any danger. He then looks directly at his target spot on the wall before smashing the egg. There's a video of a brave English girl with a sense of humor demonstrating what it's like confronting a dozen eggs with Tourette's, and she never sights her target before launch.
11:27 - You were doing nothing wrong, Carly. He was hiding his bad behavior from his parent or guardian. Like a young adolescent boy being caught looking at the porno site he lied his way onto.
14:25 - This evil S.O.B. has got you so wound up that I noticed your tics getting worse at this moment of the video.
I hope things improve. You have enough on your plate. You don't need someone like that. If he shows up again, take a deep breath and silently block him. If he wants to keep coming back, remain silent and block him. Don't react. When you do, you're giving him the attention he wants. If you and your community members ignore him enough, he'll go bother someone else. And that someone else might be the wrong person, at which point he'll learn that karma's a bitch.

Wooow. I know who this is now! I remember Davanna McQueen, and I'm pretty sure I've spoken to them before, I just can't remember if it's on here or Discord. It was never in private, though. Just comments. I'm so sorry this is happening, Carly. This person has been studying you. Not just a typical troll. They're actually paying for your attention. I'm really glad you made this video. This needs to be brought to light. I hope you get everything settled so you, at least, don't have to video chat with them anymore. That's the creepiest part about this, to me. Love you, Carly. Hang in there!

I am sorry you had to go through all that harassment. Its really sick how people can cause such damage and harm.

This absolutely sucks. I have Tourette’s I have for a few years now and I hate that these types of people exist. It sucks that people such as us who actually have it are belittled and harassed by people who want attention or people who don’t understand. So thank you for being here and all the other people within the community to be there for especially young people like me who feel alone and struggle with life(as most do not just young people).

I have tics on my own, but I honestly don't know much about tic disorders, I just accept that I seem to have one. So the first few clips that you showed, they looked almost believable to me, besides that glass of water and hold an egg one, but the rest seemed real at first glance. So I think what you are doing is so, so important, because for people who are not edcuated enough about tic disorders, it's hard to spot the difference between what is real and what isn't. It's important to have correct information about disorders out there and not some weird and rude stereotypes that make fun of people who actually have it. Please keep up your great work, it is very much appreciated!

I don’t have Tourette’s but I have autism and some tiktokers have faked that too and it makes me livid because I got bullied for being weird and having bad anger issues as a kid and it’s terrible and this stuff isn’t cute to do.

This is so f*cked up. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
I also want to thank you for your content, I really enjoy your videos, they're both entertaining and educational, and as someone with tics (though I don't have Tourette's) they also make me feel less alone.

How on earth can you claim that your parents don't know about your tourettes? Especially as severely as they are shown on their tiktok. I couldn't hide my tics if I tried

I have a couple very minor, more rarely occurring tics (specific neck twitch, little squeaks) that I’ve noticed over my life that my psychologist attributes to my OCD and having quite major ADHD (maybe more, we’re working through it and finding out as we go of course), and even I’m angry at how terrible this little weirdo is acting. I’m sorry he’s made it so uncomfortable in your Discord.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, and you're community, I can't seem to find them on the accounts you've named so they must have been taken down, you are amazing though and while I personally don't have Tourettes I do like the content that you and other creators provide. it's heartbreaking what has happened, but I will keep an eye out and report any that may come up, never let it get you down though and they are harassing you, they aren't just being a troll.

It is heartbreaking. I’m 32 years old and I struggle with it but I am too afraid to come out of my shell and post something to notify people that they aren’t alone. It’s scary. It’s embarrassing sometimes. I just want to know that I’m not alone. Mine are painful. Gets worse under stress. :/
