I bought my first AR three weeks ago and it was a Bushmaster C-15. I bought a BCM mini 16 today and hit the range. It felt like going from riding a bicycle to driving a car. I always heard about Bush, Colt, and Sig, rarely about Bravo and that's a shame because my BCM is a mans' tool not toy!
I put a Mod4 charging handle and BCM complete BCG in my M4 in Afghanistan and it was flawless the whole deployment and is still up to future deployments. At home, I choose BCM as the rifle to protect my family. Their quality exceeds the rifles we're issued and they build everything tough and everything right. As an 11B, BCM is my choice, in Afghanistan or at home. Thank you BCM for making a no-fail product that kept me safe overseas and keeps my family safe today.

If I can find a BCM lower, that's my next build w/BCM mid-length 16" 410, (not 416) stainless 1-8" twist, and I was a fan before I even knew that T. Haley and P. Rogers were involved/used their product's, love the FREE 'Black Rifles' magazine, Pat Rogers AND Travis Haley 'Make Ready' DVD's, love their freebes that aren't just gimmicks....oh, and I'm WEARING my Bravo Company USA hat as I type! Need to put this through a good class!
You've had it for years? Great! Now go shoot it about 5,000 times in a week and get back to us on how awesome your BushHamster is. My local Sheriff's office recently bought 15 bushmaster carbines to put in their cruisers. During the 3 day class to qualify the deputies 8 of the 15 carbines broke. By broke I mean would not fire or were dangerously unsafe. If you want a toy get an airsoft or Bushmaster. If you want a lifesaving tool that you can depend on get a BCM, Colt, or DD.
They don't make anything, just buy from the real OEMs and put their own labels on them, then markup 300% . The word " manufacturing " is very misleading.

LOOOOVE my B-C-M!!! Rock solid, accurate goodness. My friend and I both got AR15s at the same time, he got a Franklin Arms for a tiny bit less. Great rifle but...he's totally jealous of my BCM now ;-)
I have a BCM upper and charging handle on my M4 Frankenstein and it's proven extremely durable and tough. I'm very pleased with BCM and will definitely consider them in the future for future parts and services.

Some of the best Mil-11595E gov profile barrel's I've used acuracy wise (that's including XM193 55-gr out of the 1-7" bbl's), and from what I've heard bbl LIFE on these middys'.....Got a hankering for a CHF 16" middy too... You need to stop these quality product's, I WANT THEM ALL!!! ;-) If you're THINKING about a BCM ANYTING, GET IT, or they might just be out of stock when you check back!

I too wondered about this...So. I called a friend who is an Army Ranger. Asked him about what type of modifications they are allowed to make to there weapon platforms. They are allowed to use different bolt carriers, optics, magazines, grips, stocks, etc. They only thing they cannot modify is the lower receiver. With permission your allowed to use an entirely different upper half. As well as different handguns as long as they have a manual safety.
Well, to be honest it would have been worth waiting for the BCM. Good luck to you with your rifle. I cannot recommend BCM highly enough...FANTASTIC products and even better customer service.
i got to say putting together my first ar15 and decided to go with all bcm products after doing so much research. i only need to get the lower receiver and then im ready to go shoot. can't wait. feel like a kid on Christmas morning. i know for sure ill be a bcm fan for as long as im alive. awesome stuff. everything i have is just beautiful. thank you BCM and all your hard working people and super awesome service. 5 stars in my opinion. couldn't be any happier.
Why would a service member bring their own spare BCG when we have an army supply system and unit armorer's that carry spare parts from the manufacturer? Thats retarded in my opinion and also liable should a 15-6 investigation that would be launched should a soldier become a casualty find that he/she modified his weapon with an unauthorized part.
I always buy from BCM first! There's a naughty little 2nd place I shop with in Leander, but I always recommend BCM and buy BCM. It's always my first choice. No B*llsh*t.
I do not have a "full utilize some of however is a Sterling Arsenal with a Daniel Defense Bolt Carrier Group and 10.3 inch Barrel with a SureFire Flash Hider. Great Rifle.

Can anyone explain to me the differences in barrel lengths along with the gas systems in AR's? What would be a good overall affordable rifle? Thanks for the info; I'm a handgun guy...LOL
First I'd like to say that I own BCM products and they are high quality so I can appreciate BCM. However my issue here is the "bolt carrier speech" and how it's misleading when it comes to GI's deploying it in a theater of combat. Most of our military small arms contracts come from COLT, not BCM plus the military is very strict on what modifications you can make on an M4 so I fail to see how the bolt carrier speech is relevant let alone true. I do appreciate what the company does though
The only problem I see with BCM is how often they are sold out of everything. This is a compliment as backhanded as it might be. I know there are other good ones, but I want a BCM.

I love BCM parts to use in my builds. I am not into building foo foo AR 15's. I see some of the abortions that other people build and just have to shake my head. My buddies and I have a military mindset and build our guns to perform in those kinds of conditions. BCM is that company that is the same way. I love my Colt's and LMT's, but BCM has taken over where Colt left off and I can't really see the need to spend what LMT wants for their products, though I like their military/LE mindset. I like a Criterion barrel in my builds, but BCM is one of the greatest AR companies out there.
OMG, I cannot say how EXCELLENT my BCM 16" middy is, put that with a BCM gunfighter charging handle, on a Spikes ST-15 lower, and Spikes has proven themselves, and BCM has proven themselves to the WORLD! I can't say enough good things about BCM's product's, Mil-Spec PLUS some, and some more.. I could keep going too!!! MPI, HPT, Shot peened, everything that can be done, has been! I love the EXO technology, and Spikes EXO BCG was the ONLY EXO BCG that is FULLY MPI, shot peened, AND HPT.. HINT!!!

No slop, no machine marks, no cruddy workmanship that can pass a government standard but just barely -their products are better quality and when you inspect their components you can tell they were not simply interested in meeting the government's bare minimum standards. The quality of their chrome lining is superior, their barrels have proper roll marks and no lathe "lines" as result of quick and dirty production. I bet my life on them in Afghanistan when I replaced my cruddy issue BCG that would fail to extract and had garbage gas key staking and dropped in A BCM BCG because it was the best it could ever be and my M4 never jammed or had cycling issues again. Gave me that peace of mind that I knew my rifle would go bang no matter what. They are worth every dollar and a BCM rifle protects my home. As an 11B I see their superior product and I choose them over anything else.
They make some rather misleading statements in this little interview....."product goes out the door to military or law enforcement personnel"! So what do BCM supply to the military, which contract did they win, what branches do they supply? BCM makes great weapons, I own several but these claims are outrageous! Just about every manufacturer that sells AR platform rifles/carbines leads people to believe that their weapons are used by our military. Most, if not all commercials having to do with AR's show military and law enforcement with their brand of weapon, it's ridiculous! These claims are flat out lies and many of those manufacturers don't even meet mil-spec, most don't even come close. BCM doesn't supply M4's or M16's to the military, never have and most likely never will. The only suppliers of AR platform weapons are Colt, FN, and HK, that's it! All other manufacturers are liars and they know it. BCM claiming their weapons end up in hands of the military is a lie, and makes them look bad.
US Special Operations Forces frequently use the rifle they choose, and they often choose BCM. SF isn't issued Glocks, They're issued M9s, and soon, the new Sigs, but they very often carry Glock 19s. Delta has been known to carry Glock 22s in .40 caliber, of all things. Your criticism is very harsh and unnecessary, but there's always that one guy in the comments section. Congratulations, today you're "that guy."

LW means it has a Light Weight barrel. M4 barrel has the grenade cut outs.
