Could you tell us more about the software? How easy was it to transfer files onto your computer, and how as the editing software? Is there the ability to shoot in 360 mode?
Not a user but have been reading reviews on this and you might want to check the wider reviews on this one before purchasing. The onboard memory is limited to 32gb and pro mode is the only decent mode for stability. That eats battery. You'll be lucky to get 30 mins of recording.
Great little camera! I've been looking to increase the camera's on my bike, I've just got recently the Cycliq front and back camera/lights, but wanted one for my helmet to get the POV shots, GoPro's are just a bit cumbersome and heavy for my liking, so this looks great. What is the weatherproofing like on the camera? Can it handle UK winter conditions? Or would i need a waterproof case for it?
Cool little useful camera I really do hate you, it has to be said. The bloody mouth mount was “not something I needed! But ended up buying (then used constantly across 800+ km of cycling on the Chemin) ... but I really didn’t need it. It is worth a look at how the camera here could work for the future. To be fair, carrying nothing much with shots at enough quality is fine for my stuff and not faffing is always good. You seem to be getting into what you now have up there well enough though. Really pleased You do still need a map and a book or two though just so you know where you are mate Cheers

you can get a little extra adapter bought separately to fit it into a chest mount like a regular action cam, i believe they sell it on the insta360 website. seems like a really good way to use it as bigger cameras on chest mounts can get a bit... Wobbly

The battery life is short, so it wouldn't be ideal for filming long sections of ride like the cycliq. The idea is to use it for short clips and recharge in the case! But you can either attach the case or use an action camera mount which is sold separately to mount it to any normal gopro style mount

I had a chance to see/play with this last week - a friend of mine was doing a review of it (ruclips.net/video/SH-RTf_XGrM/видео.html) - had some fun attaching it to my shoe using the sticky pad while I was riding, ha, you can see a couple of little clips in his review.... Problem is, now I want one!

I’m thinking for a hike or mountain climb that lasts a few days or a week, or to use on long bike rides as a safety cam I think total is 3-4 hours with both camera battery and case right? A spare battery you can bring a few of would really help stretch this cameras uses in more ways I think. Or if you’re traveling somewhere remote there’s no recharge capability or electricity etc. but didn’t mean to knock it or is a super cool product
I had the insta360 GO (v1) really didn't like it for running, and the mac sw was not great. But it looks great what you have done with it! Mind you you could film with a potato and it would be amazing still.
It's funny how all my best cycling memories involve hail, snow or heatstroke. I will nab that insta360 and add it to my very expensive collection of camera gear I never remember to use :).
What a great little camera, Matt Jones has taken some shots with it flying through the air and the camera staying on his chest, but that’s the pros. What’s the cons how long is the battery life and how much film storage is there? But still like one👍
One thing I’m concerned about as a cyclist is the tech / gadgets we are all now using & the costs involved which could be making ourselves easy targets for criminals ,especially when riding alone or off road , I hear during lockdown a rise in bike hi-jacking’s with more people out riding high end bikes & kit , something to think about before heading out, I certainly do now and where I will be riding and what I have with me ,, uncertain times......
No mic jack unless the mic adapter from the one R will work with the charging case, I don't have one to try though. Yes you can get an additional mount to use it like a regular action cam on most existing mounts

That horizon levelling is MEGA. Wish manufacturers would work some of those sorts of features into the bigger cameras - if they can do it for Insta, GoPro and DJI why not the larger framed cameras.
I have been using the original GO for the last year on bike rides. Became one of my favorites. I hear there is no keyframe adjustment in the editing app. that sounds like a problem, what do you think?

i haven't tested it to depletion, but it lasted a whole MTB ride without the charging case where I was recording short clips on and off as I entered the trails. Charging case seems to keep going and going - I think DC rainmaker does an actual review on his channel worth watching - this video is more just my experience!
nope, I don't think I would risk it, plus chesty camera needs to point upwards slightly, flat against your chest would just be filming your handlebars and the ground!
@@Cade_Media Check out Matt Jones, he did a backflip with it. The angle looks to work better than a traditional camera... but he’s a smoother rider than me. Not sure I’d risk it either, but don’t like carrying chesty and all the gubbins.

the standard video has the same level stabilization as pro mode, you just can't adjust the FOV afterwards

It's actually safe to fully submerged in water, so I can't see weather being an issue - swimming might be too high pressure for the seals though

I would base your choice off the front facing screen, if you need it or not!

You should get a mountain bike helmet and mount the camera under the visor on the front to so you don't have to keep drooling on it.

yep theres a light grade on everything, but the insta360 shots are shot in vivid colour mode, so applied very lightly
