I watched this series when I was a kid here in Thailand. I like this show a lot but they showed it up to episode 26 and just stopped and the rest was never aired. I was pretty mad about it at that time.
I can imagine that was a frustrating experience! Especially with the changes they made in the second half of the series, which upped the challenge the Kyodain were up against. It would have been disappointing to miss out on those episodes.
Love this series you're doing on tokusatsu, truly one of the best on RUclips! And another near half-hour one to boot!

Thinking about getting the Toei dvd set
I must admit, I never heard of Uchuu Tetsujin Kyodain before until I saw an episode of it. And judging on how it's styled and how the action is put together with the story... I would like to say that this was an impressive Tokusatsu series that I'm considering to be one of my favorite Tokusatsu's 😏😉👍

First of all, I just adore this channel! I know I am older than you, and a toku-fan since the very early 1980’s (before Miami Vice!), yet, you know more history than I do!
For me, Kyodain, Kagestar, and Denjin Zaboga represent the absolute most insane and fun time in the golden era of tokusatsu! Honorable mentions to Stronger, Akumizer 3 / Bipyun, and Zubat! Holy shit!
However, Kyodain is truly a singular show! There is nothing else like it. It is a manga come to life (with comedic puppet versions of mecha for quick jokes!), the crazy editing, UFO’s, which held the public imagination at that time, and an earnest love of the boy who is at the center of the plot, but was too young to act! I love this show!

Your comment made me think of all the cartoon like attacks-like Grounzel rolling over Dada Robots and flattening them-and the really strange plots by Gaburing Queen in the last 3rd of the series 😆.

I just recently discovered this channel, and what a great one. I love this informational type videos on media, and a yt channel doing this on a range of tokusatsu heroes and not only Ultra, Kr and sentai was necessary!!! Even better discovering it with plenty of episodes and variety of shows and movies!

Old school tokusatsu
Good video. Though, I was wondering just how the Ultraman series fits into this, since Ultraman series was the basically the first one to have started this and not Super Sentai.
The Ultra series can be viewed as its own franchise and part of the Kyodai Hero subgenre of tokusatsu. Kyodain's DNA can be traced back to the Kamen Rider TV series and is part of the henshin hero subgenre.
