Beautiful knife. Just got this one, already had it in black, and I have the mini in purple as well. Only bummer is that the scales are a pocket killer. Going to have to sand them down I guess.
Imagine a black and blue Gmascus! But this sure is a beauty too.
A better Griptilian than any Benchmade. The lock up is better, drop free with no blade play out of the box. It would be perfect if they offered a thumb hole.
I love love love hogue but I need them to make the full size with that red and black g mas!

This knife is irresistible in that color. I’d say my wallet is in trouble, but honestly the price on these is super reasonable!

This is a great looking hogue! It’s like the perfect combination of a grip/freek I really like it they knocked it out of the park for real. 🤙🏻
Such a great knife! I have the full size black and the mini in red/black - I am hoping for the full size in red/black or blue/black. This is a seriously engineered knife - as a gun guy, I am familiar with Wolff springs for firearms, and the company happens to be a few miles from my house. Doug uses the Wolff Omega spring for his ABLE lock (the best springs in the planet) - just one little example of the thought and attention that goes into these knives! I agree, everyone should buy several of these - you get a phenomenal knife for a steal AND as you said, support our cause! Great video!!
bought this knife last year. the handle is great. thicker than most. favorite knife
I bought a black g10 one shortly after they first came out. It also had the stainless screws on it. I immediately got the replacement black screws and an aftermarket clip that matches the blade finish. One of my favorite knives - it’s just fantastic. I also have a mini but I’ve just never warmed up to the mini.
I want this in the red gmascus!
Outstanding value. Hogue has one the best grinds in production knives in my opinion.

Hey zack, thanks on your opinion and insight.I also have the black full size and swapped out just the black screws not clip as I personally like the polished clips they hide any scratches and I love everything about it. I also have the mini in blue and just ordered the black hardware package. Love both of them but the full size is something special.

Wicked cool knife Zach! I have the EX-04 auto with red g-mascus, and it is a beast. Sharpest factory edge from any company ever.
I don't have a fullsize Griptilian yet and I kinda consider this Hogue's version but damn this speaks to me a lot more than the Benchmade! Also, love the mini Crooked River, that blue is ooof! Thanks for sharing Zach!
Already love my rsk mk1 g2 but now your making want this one to now blue would be perfect
I wish the pivot and lock bar were in silver, but I feel like the hardware should match either way. It’s a beautiful knife, for sure.
Edit: It looks like the current production uses an uncoated lock bar.

I love this knife, I have to pick one up. It’s like a must have in the collection. I would love a blue Gmascus. I kinda like the Orange one.
Just ordered the same knife from knifeworks. Maybe it's not offered anymore but I wasn't able to get one with the black lock bar. It wasn't a deal breaker but it does look better in my opinion. I did order the black screw/pocket clip kit as well. Should be here tomorrow.

Well thank you Zack for a great review and also for deciding me on my next more expensive knife purchase. This is definitely number one on the list right now in some shape or size probably this exact one though. Don't have any Houge knives which I keep wanting/meaning to get one, definitely need to step my game up 😂

Was planning my first "big buy", A skinny xm-18, but this hogue or even the deka seem really really good... Too bad they are hard to get in europe !
I may have miss somethings but for me it when Hogue made this knife that they really step back in the knife game. Now they pushing it with the dekka. I don’t have buy one because the dekka it’s not really my vibe and the Doug Ritter is an exclusive in an American shop (I live in France). But there definitely on my radar since.

Almost the same as a G10 Griptilian. Not sure about what is 'enhanced' in the ABLE lock?
It's may be in reference to the upgraded stronger steel they went with for the omega springs, made by Wolff.

Yes they are drilled for a standard 3 hole pattern just as the Benchmade's are. So the mini deep carry fits on here utilizing the stock Hogue hardware. Little shorter on the mini deep carry of course!
I have a biacked out rsk,a mini rsk in red mascus,and this onebis in the mail.I have around thirty mid to high ends,but when I'm using a ritter,I find myself asking,'what do I need any other knife for'? The Ritter rsk just excells in every way
Are the G10 handles aggressive on pockets as they say?
Did not realize they had released the full size in the purple g-mascus. I've bee eyeing the mini, but was worried it'd be a little small. Now I guess I don't really have an excuse 🤷🏻♂️
@lee,I haveboth,and many mid to high ends,I was like you on the mini-sub three in seemed small,but suprise,it's just fine for edc,ergos are so good,and it cuts so well,that it's actually more comfortable on hard cuts,then many of my larger knives

Hogue proves you can do magnacut without the 300 plus price tag. Companies making stuff up about the cost to do magnacut drives me insane

Have you ever had any issues with the lock getting clogged? I've been putting off trying out axis locks for fear of filling them with crud at work. Thanks!
No troubles with clogging yet. Pretty easy to clean if it gets junked up.
Compressed air is your best friend for dry schmutz
