Thank you for another honest and excellent knife review. I like your knife content the most. Glad all is good after that manhunt, that is crazy! Lastly, I had a good experience with Hogue warranty when the pocket clip screw holes were garbage on my 1st gen Deka

I own a full-sized Hogue RSK, and I also swapped out the stock pocket clip. I've also owned a full-sized Griptilian, and the Hogue RSK just feels (and looks) like so much of a better knife.

I completely agree with you!! I loooove that knife, it is one of my favorites by far after using it a lot the past 2 months! The edge retention is good as you said, the knife feels great in hand, all around a perfect edc knife! And I wish you the best of luck trying to steal it back. 😘

Not rex 45 but doesn't chip either.
The comfort level and blade geometry make this a Shabazz gem.

Edit im not sure the trm 20cv is better but Gerald thinks so. I think its the blade.

I love RSKs, best working blades for the money I've found. Unfortunately I think I may have broken one of the springs on my full size, I noticed it suddenly had a small amount of vertical blade play and the lockbar is slightly canted as if it's only being pushed on one side. First time I've ever broken a spring but the knife still works fine, I'll just have to get around to fixing it.

  • @nebulamask81

Doug Ritter does amazing things with knife rights. The clip landing on the cross textured part on the handle is the only part of this knife that bugs me. It causes a lot of wear on pockets. That can be fixed with a little light sanding though. The magnacut blades were a sprint run, hope they do more of them and if they do it on the mini I'm picking one up even though as a rule I don't buy duplicates, but that's how much I like the RSKs.

I’m glad to hear you are ok and you had some protection at home. I have been in a similar situation in my RV in Las Vegas several times. It’s not a good way to spend half a day.
Anyway, great review of the mini RSK. I LOVE that knife. It’s just the right size and carry profile for EDC use. About the 20CV blade steel. I had heard about it before I got mine. The first time I cut cardboard with mine the edge bent right over. I thought it was the steel. Hogue resharpened it for free and it has been solid ever since. Turned out to be a bad sharpening job. The steel is plenty tough and has good edge retention too. I have sharpened mine several times with a DMT plate and the steel is great.
This one of my favorite knives especially thumb stud types. I don’t really prefer thumb studs because they are kind of snagged on my pockets and get in the way of sharpening. These are in the right position to minimize those issues and they allow a slimmer carry profile for this knife. I would prefer a spidey hole like Nicole’s mini grip normally but it’s a trade off I guess.
Definitely get one for yourself if the chance comes along!

In Ireland if you are carrying a hand gun you get 5 years in the slammer straight off with no excuses. Curiously, gun crime is very low.
That guy couldn't have shot anyone when he had road rage if he didn't have a gun.
That being said, I am sorry you were scared to death and glad you had a piece to defend yourself with. A scattergun is your man for that kind of job.
That's a nice knife and it's one I can see myself carrying. Super hard chippy steel is a pain in the butt. This Hogue has a nice geometry. Being easy to sharpen is a big bonus. I have had various knives with Omega springs. They break, not often, but they do break. At least Benchmades do.
