Is a loop wheel cotton T shirt considered a 'knitted' garment. I have no space to dry things flattened out on a towel. I kind of have to use a line to dry clothes.

I like to throw them in to the wash with my raw denim jeans. it gives a nice blue hue to everything.
What if your white shirt has graphics on it? Will this process risk fading the graphics significantly?
