Thank you for posting! Before you used the tap, where you able to thread half way in? That is what happened to be today and had to stop and going to get a tap
Light 1, I was not able to start the bolts before cleaning out the liner from the holes. I might have tried to make it fit if I got it started, but my luck I would mess something up. It worked like a dream... took a few turns and then it fell into the threads. Thanks for watching.. holler if you have any more questions.
I did consider it, but then all the stuff in the drawers would be in totes, that would ride on the CargoGlide, and then I would have no where to put additional stuff like firewood, cooler, etc. I added a RLD Design Cap on the Gladiator and I can stuff it full and still keep everything clean and dry.
Hi Ronnie! I like it! I know there are cheaper homemade rails, but the rails from Mopar have a clean look, are beefy, and come with the 4 attachment points. It's a little pricey and the kit does come with 12 bolts, and the install requires 14. I got 2 from ACE. but they don't match the factory bolts.
one thing i dont like about the mopar is that holes are very large on those rails compared to the screws. wish they'd made it smaller. it's a huge difference in size.
12 NO 14. 14 holes, 14 attachment points. MOPAR kit cheats and only sends 12 screws. Just received mine and the Reply from Jeep/Mopar " contact the seller " Purchased through Amazon, Auto Warehouse sold and shipped. BUT Mopar is the original Seller. Jeep/ MOPAR is Crap. they just put the problem back on me and DID NOTHING.
I ordered mine from Northridge 4x4. Clearly boxed up by Mopar for sale. The instructions are from Mopar and the parts list shows 12 bolts. Turn the page and they point to the 14 holes you have to bolt them into. Ridiculous.
Thanks for the awesome instructions! Really appreciate that.
Glad it was helpful!
Sir Thank you
You are most welcome!

Thanks great video bud
Glad you enjoyed it
That DECKED system really consumes your bed depth. Did you consider the CargoGlide system for more flexibility?

Quick question. What is the purpose of the jokes you had to hammer in ?
Just what i was looking for! Thinking about purchasing this Mopar rail system as well. Looks simple enough, just curious how you like it?

Thanks, i installed mine finally yesterday. Looking forward to add some rotopax mounts this week.
i heard tapping could damage the thread. was it easy to tap?
Very easy to do and did not harm the threads. I just let the tool to the work and not force it.
Warren, thanks for the video. ! How did you find the holes under the bed liner for the rail attachment??
Hi Daniel! They were still visible under the bed liner. the liner just clogged the threads, so they needed cleaned out. Thanks for watching!
My tap set has M6x1.0 and M6x0.75. Which tread is it?
I used a M8x1.25

Yes, it can be frustrating!
Expand and grab hold ? torqued ? 9Nm ?
instructions say to torque to 9Nm, I impacted and hand tightened. I suggest following the instructions.. :)
Which tap kit did you get at Ace?
Steve, I just purchased a single tap and tap handle.
12 NO 14. 14 holes, 14 attachment points.
MOPAR kit cheats and only sends 12 screws.

You are correct, they sent the 12 for the rail and I purchased 2 stainless from ACE for the back of the side rails.

Same here!
