If only the accord was a sleeper like it used to be
@@TheAnnoyingBoss When was the Accord ever a sleeper? Lol The Accord is one of the most popular sedans in the USA. Everyone and his uncle has seen or heard of it.
You want to talk sleepers, think along the lines of a Buick Regal Sportback, Impala SS, Chrysler 200 S...

Impala SS 0-60 5.6 seconds
buick regal sportback 0-60 5.6 seconds

The 2.0L turbocharged version is definitely a sleeper, it’s pretty quick for a family sedan.
@@kingdarius5252you ever heard of the 2.0T accord?? THAT will walk that Chrysler 300 you just listed😂😂

I like the Camry XSE with AWD living in the Midwest where we get lots of snow in the winter months. ❄️ Great video ! 😊
I recently purchased a 23 accord LX. The all digital gage display on the 23 accord is a major upgrade. It cleanly gives you a lot of information. My wife has a 22 RAV4 EX. The all digital gage display is much better.
i went to go test drive the 2023 accord. i was extremely impressed by the drive quality. you can literally feel how much they've stepped it up. i like knowing my fav manufacturer put that much thought into making sure i have a very comfortable effortlessly premium drive.
They have oil dilution problems, still use CVT transmissions that feel like crap and the engines are not built as strong as they once built them. Toyota has a 2.5l non-turbo engine with a regular 8 speed automatic transmission and ours has been flawless. 2024 Camry gets a 2.4l twin turbo charged engine. I passed on the Honda even though it looked better the Camry felt stronger and has now started clocking cars making it to 300k miles and over so it has kept its legendary reliability. Both good cars, but I will not own a CVT I hate the way they feel.
Does Hybrid 2.0 motor has oil dilution also? Or it is only in 1.5T models? I also was considering acura tlx 2021+ 2.0T or 3.0T. Do you recommend buying Hybrid accord or tlx?
@nikaratiani3478 The oil dilution problems only pertain to the 1.5 liter engines. The turbocharged 2.0 liter engines haven't had oil dilution problems as far as I've heard.
It is a problem for any direct injected engine even Toyotas it is just not as bad. When you got a high pressure pump forcing fuel in under that pressure it will make it past the rings. I just started changing oil sooner than I did. Went back to every 3k miles.@@iamjshep3

I have the new 2023 Accord Hybrid touring top trim in black and I love it! I really like this new mature look, I'm going to the gas station only once a month, and its such a smooth everyday ride! Great job Honda 👏🏻
How far from work do you live?
@dennisswanberg1718 I work from home but this car saves you so much in gas. Most of my drives are in the city and I'm getting 42 - 43 mpg and a full tank gets you a little over 500 miles.
I think the Accord has less aggressive looks compared to its predecessor. its much simpler. However, I like its interior and the amount of torque it has which will give it some speed advantage
I'm kinda warming up to the more simple look myself on the exterior. Especially if it has red paint. Got the Accord hybrid sport on order for this Sunday. Unfortunately they only had silver available and I needed a car soon😢
Still looks nice though and love the interior.
No one would park these in public for more than 2 hours, the catalyct converter is too powerful and valuable to pass .
yeah its cause honda fucked up its current gen accords lmao. They went backwards in terms of design.
I can't wait to see the comparison between the 2024 Toyota Camry n 2024 Honda Accord
I love the Camry! I rented one last weekend and was blown away!
Camry has remote start on the fob and it’s free for life. You just have to know the correct way to push the lock button.
According to a Toyota PR representative, "Remote start via keyfob will be active with any Connected Service - trial or paid subscription."
I recently bought the Camry TRD 2023 for my first car and I have say it's amazing!
I checked the Xse hybrid and the Honda touring hybrid. Both were priced the same but the Honda at that price is offering the touring model. Just became a no brainer. And the interior with the touring is soo luxurious! If you blind fold someone and make them sit inside they won't even realize they're sitting in an accord lol
I am a Honda Accord ❤️! 😊
Cannot go wrong with either. Both great cars, and reliable and quality built, and last forever if basic maintenance done. I.know have owned both and loved both.
One thing is for sure - the Camry will outlive me - by a longshot!
@@Barrie562 are you sure about that with it’s paper metal glass shattering IIhS safety marginal rating.. Truthfully, it should have been rated poor.
@@Cakewalk. Not sure what that means, but if it's any consolation while driving down the highway at high speed in the Camry a hard plastic container flew off the car in front of me, slammed into the nose of the Camry and then the windshield at high velocity and then the moon roof, after checking for damage there was none ! Not even a mark anywhere but it sure made a loud bang when it hit the car. Pretty undestructable if you ask me.
Y’all i had the same energy in the Honda. but the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me, and yes the Honda has a sunroof, just depends on the trim level
I like them both! But I’m taking that Camry because it’s offered in a V6.
The accord interior is definitely FAR superior to the Camry, mostly because of the fact that the Camry is still rocking an interior from 2018 and the accord has just been refreshed. That being said, the top V6 engine in the XSE is definitely better than the I-4 options, and the XLE would have likely been a fairer comparison to the accord touring. In terms of engines, toyota would probably win that. It really depends on what you're looking for. Honda doesn't have the ventilated seats that Toyota provides in the camry nor does really anyone at that price point. Honda is going digital with its display vs the analog in the camry, this also depends on how you look at it. Digital=futuristic or Digital=maintenance nightmare because its more difficult to replace. It really depends on what you want.
Camry all day!! Accord went backwards design wise to me. Sometimes it looks like a Malibu, other times a Taurus idk not a fan. Also no heated steering wheel?!
& no panoramic roof...
@@richardsanders3750 Yess!!!
its simply unique and will take around 6 months for people to adopt and recognize the style
LoL what style? That Honda is bland and it does resemble a Ford Taurus.😏
Literally every Toyota model looks bad and its only reason ill never buy Toyota. They should fire all their designers.
Looking at this video after the fact but I just got a touring hybrid accord saturday in all black and I love how it drives. I was coming from a gas guzzling Lincoln mkx and wanted something that felt premium but got way better mpg and so far I love it

I enjoy the comparisons, great work.
Thank you!
3.5L V6 300HP Port and Direct Injection 8AT vs 1.5T I4 192HP Direct Injection CVT. Gee, let me think...
That's a no-brainer, for sure.
Why are you comparing a accord loading v6 and a base accord with a 1.5t. Did it make you feel better about a Toyota?
The Accord is big and slow. What was Honda thinking?😂
@@quinty26 looking at what make and model sells more and catering to that audience.
Yeah honda limited the engine options. I don't understand their logic. They took away their better engine.
Thanks, Drew. Must have been a lot of work in the editing dept. I thought the Touring Accord with laminated glass would be a bit quieter. Maybe it’s the tires or the e-CVT, although I heard the Touring gets better quality tires. maybe from Michelin. Anyway, prefer the styling and features of the Accord. My test drive will be soon. Should test drive the Tucson and the CX-50, as well. Maybe, you could compare those two?!
Skip Hyundai and KIA and Ford. Mazda is decent, Accord is not quiet, Camry can get the V6.
I don't know why, but Honda has been struggling with road noise issues for decades now. Consumer Reports listed it as one of their complaints on the a 1998 Accord (source: Consumer Reports CARS 1999). You would think after all this time, they would have figured it out.
Wow man. Very good comparison Watching two videos side by side in same frame makes it easy to compare.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks guys. Yoy do such a clever job. Jeffrey in Rochester, Minn.
I got a 2023 Accord EX. I’m getting under ideal and mainly Highway driving 42 to 43 mpg. I’m pretty amazed by it. Got about 6500 miles and it’s been consistent.
I have Honda Accord EXL 2014 and I have clocked 40 and above mpg on highway
wow you are getting over 40+ mpg for non-hybrid car?
Have a Camry XSE non hybrid and just recently put down 49.2 mpg open road.
I don’t know which packages are added to the Camry in comparison, but I went to the official Toyota website and for the price shown at the beginning of the video the driver assistant package is on it, the driver assistant package adds the HUD and the 360 camera system which is not available on the accord, another thing not available on the accord is a panoramic roof and AWD so the Camry wins in my book.
These guys got paid by honda. Read the honda forums and you will see people are shitting on it for keeping all the real features exclusive to the touring.
they are comparing a 33k camry to a 39k accord. Bunch of rascals.
Great video and very helpful for anyone in the market for a 2023 midsize sedan! I like the looks of the 2023 Accord, so much nicer than the previous years which fell well short. When I bought four years ago at the $27,000 price point the Camry SE was a much better choice over the Accord 1.5T Sport. Honda offered no factory options at that price point, including safety features like BSW and RCTW! And you got stuck with a CVT transmission plus the 1.5 liter engine with oil dilution problems. It was a $4500 upgrade to the 2.0T Sport and almost required to get needed options and the better engine and transmission. On the other hand, the $4400 upgrade from the Camry SE to the XSE was nice but not necessary since you already got the good engine and transmission plus options like BSW and RCTW, etc. in the SE unlike the 1.5T Sport. I hope in 2023 Honda has learned to offer important factory options in their lower trim levels but haven't looked since I'm not in the market right now since I'm still pleased with my 2019 Camry SE that has been trouble free.
Thank you!
Camry has 360 camera, pano roof, and more engine options.
Cost $1000 more to add 360 camera compared to accord
The cameras on the Camry are unmitigated garbage. Especially when they try to show a 360 view.
Since 2018.
The problem with toyota is i cant drop a v6 into the LE and thats what i want. I want two manually operated front seats.
@@iftikhor4885now is standard on Xse and xle
I was at my local Honda dealership to test drive the new Honda CRV but also tried the Honda Accord Sport which is hybrid. I have owned two Accords (1999 LX V6 and a 2007 EX V6 which I still am using) The 2023 model that I drove lacked any of the character that has made the Accord enjoyable. I was stunned really. The Honda Accord zip was totally absent. Honestly the Honda CRV EXL has the driving characteristics the Honda is known for. I can't address the Camry. We have a 2013 Camry LE which a good around town car just a little too soft. I think Honda blew it with these new Accords.
FYI your pricing is correct but the trim you comparing are the 4 cylinder camry one….. the fully loaded 6 cylinder xse is around 39k
I own the XSE V6. Awesome car. Previously owned the Camry hybrid. Pleasantly surprised that I can get 32-33 mpg with the V6 when driven conservatively. AND, when you want it the V6 can really scoot.
My 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded with 1,405 miles gets 19.7 MPG. Rather poor gas mileage. Drive 70 percent City and 30 percent Highway as rough estimates. Are you in ECO Mode all the time? I only use Normal. When I first started out in January was only getting 8.1 mpg. May have something to do with the Break-in-Period of a new car. I dislike 4-bangers, turbos, hybrids, and EVs. Maybe my next vehicle will be a 1960s to mid-1970s Classic with a V6 or V8. The Muscle and Sports Car era. The Camry is alright just don't like being close to the ground as sits at 5.7 ground clearance. All cars should be 6.7 inches or more. Also, need more Head Space ... my brother is 6'5" and needs to move seat all the way back and recline just to get in the car as mentioned it sits low.

Great review as always
Thanks again!
Great video! I think a V6 Camry XSE could’ve been the better one to compare against the top trim Accord Touring, even if they had different engines, or, better yet, a Camry Hybrid XSE. Of course the Accord will have an advantage against the old Camry. It’s a newer generation. And even though the Camry would’ve been a slightly pricier, I would’ve chosen the options or packages to better align it with the accord. I had two Camry in the past, one 4 cylinder and one V6. Both excellent choices. I also had an V6 Accord, and along with the V6 Camry I had, they were two of the best vehicles I’ve ever purchased.

Looks like the Accord has more interior room and better field of vision with less blind spots.
You did a great job comparing both cars. Especially, for someone who never pays attention to cars until I need to buy one every 8 years:/ Thank you. Well done 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 It’s funny how so many in the comment section pay attention to detail of a car. Meanwhile, the only features that matter in my next purchase is panoramic sun roof ( absent, a deal breaker for any model I purchase). I’d like to buy a hybrid model to save on gas. I was thinking 💭 about a Tesla 3. I drive a lot. Eight years equals 16,000 in gas. I’d like to spend under 16,000 for a three year old car. Toyota lasts 300,000 miles while a Ford will last 200,000. My family had a brand new Ford Bronco which lasted well over 200,000 miles. I’d like a reliable car. Getting 100,000 more miles out of a car is more appealing to me cost wise. More importantly, I do not want to replace any parts. If I was a RUclipsr I’d purchase a Tesla , Infiniti, or a luxury model on warranty and trade in. I’m still trying to make the American 🇺🇸 Dream happen. Wish me 🍀 luck:)
imo the 10th gen accord was much nicer. the only thing honda improved is the big screen. the fact that this is the previous gen camry being compared to the new gen accord and yet they're pretty similar when all said and done speaks volumes. I think the next gen camry will blow this accord out the water
Definitely that’s what everyone appears to be ignoring. That they are comparing an older Camry with a newly refreshed accord.
This current Camry will blow this accord out the water
All the awesome new tech we've been seeing in the recently launch Toyota/Lexus remodels are coming to this next gen Camry, which will be insane! Can't wait to check out the new gen!
@@mohammadkamran5862hat's how every battle is done. What do you expect? For them to compare the new accord to an imaginary 2025 Camry? To someone who is looking for a sedan today, this is the perfect comparison
I don't think the Camry will look any different because Toyota is not known for changing anything.
imo the 11th accord looks better! I like the smoother look. 10th gen to me was too choppy of a look.
If the Camry had updated interior tech, it would be an easy decision. The naturally aspirated engine and 8-speed auto is a win in my book over the Accord. Hopefully Toyota updates the 2025 Camry to be on par tech wise, but keeps the powertrain. I'm afraid they will jump on the smaller engine with a turbo and a CVT bandwagon though.
Well, I have had the Accord EX for several months now. That one has the a turbo 1.5. It took a while to get used to the CVT, but it actually got better MPGs than advertised. I do not like the interior of the Camry. As a big guy, the center console looks awkward and made me feel cramped. The Accord feels roomy and spacious.
They’ll have what they have here now (we’ve been on it for a while). The Camry will have a hybrid 2.5l engine with a CVT. Same as the 2.0/cvt civic I just test drove. They fly down the road in sport mode. So the new Camry will have more horsepower.

Honda treats us like kids that don't know what to pick and upsells us all to the touring. The other trims are missing very key features.
Are the ventilated seats any better than the 10th gen Accord? They were pretty lackluster in the 10th gen.
Driving the TRD is so much fun. Those black rims really adds to rhe look, and is surprisingly quick for it price tag
When it comes down too it they both are great cars. It honestly comes down to looks for the most part. There’s something out there for everyone. #signed a proud Lexus owner 😂😂😂. I personally like the previous generation accord design over this.

Although I prefer the exterior looks of the Camry, the Accord has more standard features and has the overall best value for the money. It’s crazy that Toyota makes you subscribe for remote key start instead of free for life like the Accord. Also the Google based infotainment system in the Accord’s much larger screen is a *home-run* 💯.
Value for money? Have you seen the other trims? You literally can't get any of the features without going straight for the touring and its still missing features compared to the camry, like the panoramic sunroof, better sound system, and the v6 engine.
The Base camry is even better value, because it starts at 2000$ less and comes with more standard options lmfao
The comparable value is the high trim... otherwise, you're getting a basic model..
@@singular9 sadly I agree. Honda had such a good v6 in my 07 accord sedan. So much plastic nowadays...
@@singular9for me the interior blows the Camry out of the park. I don’t buy either of these cars for speed or exterior looks, I want fuel efficiency and a comfortable interior. After trying both, the Honda sport-L model was a lot better driving quality than the xse which was more expensive with less tech. It was a easy choice for me, plus the acceleration on the Honda was awesome when getting on highways compared to Camry. Picks up a lot quicker
We just brought a 2024 Honda Accord hybrid sport Friday fresh off the truck grey with black trim and black wheels. It's a beast
I was expecting to go for a Camry but the Accord is looking great. Im impressed
Honda Accord ❤❤ great video my guys.
Hybrid Accord vs Base Engine Gas Camry is a poor comparison. Compare a Camry LE to an Accord LX or a Hybrid Camry XLE to this Accord and that'd be a more honest comparison. Let it be known Honda only offers its base gas engine in the lowest of trim packages essentially forcing consumers into a Hybrid if they also want leather or upgraded audio. The Accord would still win based on rear cabin and trunk space and improved infotainment/tech. Ive test driven the new Accord and find it less sporty than the current Camry. The 2022 Accord handles better than both the new Accord and current Camry.
It's kind of strange to compare the Accord Touring Hybrid with a Camry XSE AWD (non-hybrid). One omission in the Accord is the lack of spare tire. It's often a deal breaker and I'm not sure more cars are deleting it just to try to save some cost/weight. The all-digital display has its downside--when that burns out, it is rather expensive to replace. It's a good thing that this Touring model has a head up display because you can still see the speed until you get that digital display replaced. Camry still has mechanical speedo, fuel, and temp gauge on all trims so maybe there's not as much of a need to get a head up display.
I actually like this 2023 Accord. Unfortunate Honda got rid of the 2.0 Turbo engine, but overall, I like it. I do like the Civic better though.
I love my 23 XSE v6 Camry. The engine and trans are really smooth and quiet
its an amazing car.
Even though I picked-up a 2.0T Accord, the V6 XSE does deliver it's power smoothly and predictably. The body and suspension will fail long before its power train will.
I like the more grown up look of the Accord but I don't want a hybrid drive train or a CVT transmission. I live in MN so the fact that the Camry can be had in AWD is really nice.
I'm a die-hard Accord fan and owner. I owned a '98 Accord V6. It lasted me 24 years with very little issues. But, I always liked the Camry. For me now, the Camry looks a lot more sporty. This gen Accord looks too bland.
Great video guys! I think for someone who wants a more “sporty” economy car I would get the Camry XSE or the TRD but if you want a car with great gas and a look that won’t age I would get the hybrid accord.
I Know a lot of people aren’t fan of the new accord look but as time goes by, I think a lot of people will appreciate the new refresh!
Let's see what they do with the redesign Camry.
There doing 2.4 hybrid base. Then Hybrid 3.5 turbo as GR Camry. Awd still an option
Camry with the naturally aspirated engine whether it be the 4 cylinder or V6 engine. Screw turbo charged engines, I want my car to last a long time.
Muchas gracias por compartir 😇!
Both are equally good but I'll pick Honda obviously as I love Honda cars due to the driving experience that Honda gives.

@@TheAnnoyingBoss There is some reviews where they think this new accord handles better than the last.
I was waiting for new accord, but seems like I’ll probably end up getting new CRV. Only benefit on accord is full digital cluster and larger infotainment system.
They have the same powertrain, and accord is much lighter. I’ve heard the CRV engine feels/ sounds more stressed under the extra weight
Just bought a 2023 Camry...... have owned Toyotas for 30 years and they've NEVER let me down.....not one problem. ...Hondas look nice but they are $ and from what I hear near impossible to find....we ordered our Camry at the end of Feb and picked it up on April 30th.....beautiful car
I think if you compared the hybrid xse camry vs hybrid accord then it would be more of a good comparison.
Camry also had a option for smooth auto magic transmission in 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder
Nice comparison of the best sedan cars in the world. I would pick Camry with AWD capability as i'm living in the northern part of 🇨🇦, but the interior design of the accord is pretty darn good.
We have bought 3 accords so far in past 10 years in our family. Latest one was 2018 model, we always go to Toyota for checking out Camry but always end up choosing accord and why? Accord just feels heavy when driving we love that feel steering is tight while camry is lose compared to accord second if a camry is gonna cost me same price as accord then I will definitely buy accord resale value of accord is higher after few years of use. None of this car gave all wheel drive option during the time we went to buy the cars. I would chose sienna over odyssey nowadays if I get a chance because it’s all wheel drive and it gives better mileage in hybrid system. It’s all about what you get otherwise both vehicle will last you a decade easy.
Don’t know which market offers more resale value to accord than camry
The Camry offer AWD and the Accord does not. Huge plus to have it where I live.
The worst thing anyone could do right now is buy the new Accord. Unless it is a 2.0t model, wait to see what Toyota shows for the new 2024 Camry.
They got rid of the 2.0t anyway
Toyota will probably ruin it bro
I heard toyota was doing the same to the v6. Top trim for the new gen will be a hybrid and base will be a new turbo 4.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope audiences realize many of your points giving is subjective as some like more mature look and some more sporty with fake vents and sporty look but not really. I love my 2020 2.0T Accord more than both and I like new ones but would not look better...rather I would say I prefer some things or not. I've owned over 30 Honda/Acura products and realize you have to live with a Honda to appreciate it as fuel economy usually gets better while others get worse. Honda has always feel more sporty than Toyota and I trust engineering to go higher speed than Toyota especially in corners.
Interesting. I've driven my 2005 Accord for 18 years. Great car. I'm thinking about buying a CRV. Is the hybrid a smart choice?
@@namvet1968 It is an intelligent choice
@Terry Tarbeck it is and my opinion better for environment than all electric vehicles. The Acura version will be out soon which I also have the RDX A SPEC, is awesome but horrible fuel economy unless you do lots of hwy at 120km per hr
Accord have gown good! Hybrid system is awesome on Honda nowadays. I looked at the new Accord and boom! Google,Alexa were cool! But kinda think Honda needs to bring back V6 engine for good. But in a way Honda is stepping down for new hydrogen idea which doesn’t sound great. RIP IVTEC
I agree Honda should bring the v6 back and outsource there transmission from Benz or toyota
You should do a comparison of the new Honda Accord to the refreshed Nissan Altima.
Camry over the Accord easily. Both are quality vehicles but I would take Toyotas larger standard motor over Honda's turbo 1.5L any day of the week.
Plus, you can still get a buttery smooth V-6 with the Camry.
Accord is starting to look more like a American design car the Camry still has the Japanese design. I like the accord tech but that ford exterior is 🤮🤮🤮🤮. Accord interior Camry exterior 👍🏻.
After having done all the comparisons on my own I went with the Camry with the main reason with the Camry having real gauges combined with the 7 inch digital display. Also the touch screen on the Camry although not built in to the dash, as I would prefer, it is more integrated with the dash rather than sticking up on top of it, and of course I want nothing to do with EV, or Hybrid, which is why I went with the 2023 Camry instead of waiting for the 2024's which may have those features I just don't want.
The camry has more features than the accord at lower prices. Comparing fully loaded models is stupid since the camry lets you pick and chose what you want and make your own price.
Great choice mate. I own a gas 2020 Camry and that thing will still drive like new in 10 years like my 2007 did. With a hybrid, you would need a $5K-$6K battery replacement by that time.
@@andrewgus8763I’m considering à hybrid due to rising costs of gas and increased air travel restrictions. I plan on doing more road travel. As far as the battery needing replacement in 10 years. Start saving for the replacement.😊
Camry is better since it has V6. The Camry overall interior and exterior size maybe a tad smaller and that it has smaller Infotainment screen but you can get Wireless Car Play and Android Auto using Ottocast U2-X Pro. Camry cabin noise is lesser than Accord. Camry with V6 gives option for 2 tone exterior. Only one slight downfall for Camry is ground clearance of 5.7 inches vs 6.3 inches. But I'd rather have a V6 than a 4-Banger any day.
the camry is just outdated and boring to drive
Good review! Can you give your personal opinion on sound level at freeway speeds? I’ve heard several people mention that the Accord is annoyingly loud at speed. Thanks!
Thank you! In pretty much every segment, the Honda's are louder than the competition. It's just not something that they emphasize
Although my first car was an ‘89 Camry, and my family has had Camry models since ‘85, I have to admit the only seemingly missed marks on the Honda are no higher output powertrain and no panoramic roof; otherwise the Honda beats out the Camry as dated as it looks now. - Great comparison as always.
Thanks! Hope you have a great week
Because the accord just got redesigned while 2023 is the last model year of its current generation
Camry is getting an update in 2024.
yes but prices have gone way up on Honda models and Acura sedans offer high output motors . Acuras are Hondas with better features and luxury
@@tobesnwajagu4095 are they still keeping the 4 cyclinder and v6 engines?
Definitely the V6 for the Camry was needed
Exactly.
new honda accord looks ugly, the previous gen was much better…
@@andreylosetskiy5217 Camry allways looks ugly...like a taxi ...hehe

Nah, accord looks like gramma car hehe
People buy these vehicles primarily for accommodating people. The rear sloping design of the Accord could be forgiven in the Civic 5-door but not for the Accord (unless Honda offered a 5-door variant in addition to a 4-door version). Both brothers are on the short side in terms of height. I suspect a 6 foot + person would appreciate the Toyota for rear seat comfort. In 2023, sedan manufacturers have to raise their game in order to retain buyers in this shrinking segment. It escapes me as to why a 5-door variant is a problem in America. People have changed and are accepting of 5-door sedans if the hatch is power operated. The trunk luxury but an old mindset. Ask Tesla, Mercedes, Audi, and BMW.
They should have made the new 2023 Accord a Hatchback. More sales!
Whose hauling a bunch of 6 ft+ rear passengers? Gig workers?
@@captured_agent5714 Yes, A lot of rideshare services use the Camry and Accord as the base trims are generally cheaper than CUVs and SUVs.
I love my 2021 Camry SE AWD, and I owned a 2008 Accord which was Badass when it came out. Camry's 8 speed Transmission is a keeper, better than any vehicles CVT .
Thanks for the great review, how would you rate the color? And what do you think is the best color on the Honda Accord Hybrid?
Thanks! Canyon river blue
I hope the next generation Camry doest switch to all hybrid
Camry and honda different things 💯💯
Interior sound is important to me. The considerable difference [in sound levels] between the Camry and Accord is quite noticeable.
I think the road the Accord was driven in made a difference. Pretty much most video reviews you see out there praise the Accord for being more quiet than the previous version.
I own a 2023 Accord Touring and it is by far the quietest car I've ever owned, pulling it out of the garage is spooky.
Driving the hybrid accord is way very quiet. especially when powered in battery.
well yea the accord will be more quit cause its a hybrid while the camry isn't
Happy with my 2023 Camry xse v6 white with black top panoramic sunroof and black rims and letters and spoiler on back with black side mirrors and honey comb black metal grill. 301hp this thing has some power and love the all red leather interior seats. Mine does have the Birds Eye view camera with cooling seats up front and for $50 I have wireless CarPlay. Not even a close decision for me.
I think your comparisons favored the honda with your point system. Not giving credit for the pluses of the Toyota as many times toward the honda. I've owned both but I still think your scoring still was fairly sound. The Toyota should have received a little higher score but not as high as the honda. My opinion of the new honda look has dimished from the last model
Yeah, they’re were starting to sound like Honda fanboys. This wasn’t an equal comparison.
lol they gave points to Toyota at start of the video for “sportiness”. Honda specifically went to a mature look so no… they had to reach with Toyota, to try and keep you fan boys happy. Still not enough
I would take the last gen 2.0T Accord
So would everybody else. These Accord Hybrids have no Power. If I had to take one of them, I would take the Accord EX with the 1,5 turbo with
192hp/192lb torque and call it a day! Plus, it has a moonroof.
There are still a few on the lots. It may take some searching.
I only want an accord if its a v6 or a nice 4 cylinder. Toyota does it right except i just dont think 8 injectors for 4 cylinders is worth it man
@@TheAnnoyingBoss Problem with direct injection is the potential for carbon buildup over the lifetime ownership of the vehicle. Toyota's solution is to add port injection.
Me too!
If this is mid size, what is full size ?
Any consideration of durability and how long either car holds its value? Are we saying they’re pretty identical in that regard?
Toyota has always dominated in reliability I believe, with perhaps a few exceptions on certain models.
The New Honda Accord should be compared to the Toyota Crown
Why the crown a totally different beast as it more of a specialty vehicle there trying out...🤔
The onda fail because now they have a CVT transmission //Camry needs a rush refresh interior
Acoord 9 to the Camry 5. Not sure how that is close as you mentioned near the end of the video. Would I take either car? Absolutely but the Honda first if i could have a choice.
I picked the Accord Touring and I’m really happy with my purchase. It’s my second Accord and both were/are great. Not sure the comparison is fair, though. Camry is due for a major upgrade.
Wait doesn’t the accord get a half point for having memory seats because you didn’t score that
I have always really liked the Accord for what it is - an attractive, balanced, fun to drive and dependable car that doesn't ask much from you. It isn't a sport sedan and doesn't pretend to be, but it has some genuine sporting ability for times when you feel like enjoying the twisty stuff. I've owned two of them - an '08 Coupe V6 6MT that was my wife's "fun car" for when she didn't have to take all five kids somewhere (she now has a 2020 F150 Platinum), and a 2014 Hybrid Touring (later replaced with a 2018 Infiniti Q50RS which I didn't love and just last year replaced that with a '22 Model 3 Performance), and my oldest daughter (23) had an '11 Accord EXL V6 as her first car (she now has a '22 Elantra N 8DCT), while my second to youngest currently has an Acura TSX (2012) which is essentially an Accord with an Acura badge. All of them were/are fantastic for the most part (aside from propensity for rust...ahem). It is an excellent choice for those who look forward to driving but don't have the means or don't want to spend big on a European car or an impractical sports car. While I can get behind this new and improved hybrid powertrain (even though I still think it's a big mistake to eliminate the excellent 2.0T option) it's a bit more of a reach to get behind the styling. Still, styling is subjective. Some will like it. But I'm not seeing many on the road, which is unlike Accords of the past. My local dealer seems to always have them in stock. The ones I have seen on the road look incredibly generic and bland.
Honda is now a smaller engine with a turbo and no longer a “transmission “. You can’t say they’re as reliable as used to be
I have owned both the Camry and the Accord, and currently own two 2018 Accords, one Touring and one Sport. Both have constant false alarms with the TPMS.
Both have a lot of road noise even with premium tires, and on the Sport the fuel injectors went bad before 60k miles costing $1500 and are not covered by the Honda power train warranty.
I loved my 1991 Honda Accord EX coupe with manual transmission, but these new Earth Dreams motors are not reliable as in the past.
This 2023 Accord has a very nice road presence much like mazda 6. I like its design
In terms of styling and comfort, I choose the Toyota Camry. I've been fortunate to get an Uber ride in Camry models ranging within the last 2-3 years and all rides have been extremely quiet and comfortable. I own a 9th Gen Honda Accord Sedan (2014) and the OEM ride quality seemed to feel quite stiffer even on its 17" OEM tires and wheels.
Honda has been going backwards on their Accord Exterior design and it has taken a huge nosedive since the 10th Gen and it continues unfortunately to head in that direction. The main design engineer or whoever is calling the shots at the top of the food chain is strongly advocating that whale-head type of design and standardizing the look in-line with the Honda Civic.
The interior cabin is probably the positive point of the design but outside of that it just doesn't look that great.
Whoever that guy is, he needs to step-down because it has no competition with Toyota's more sportier styling and appeal.
these extremely tiny differences are imperceptible to airflow but still may factor in your buying decisions which is fine.
So true, I don't like the extended front end and the back keeps getting shorter as well. I prefer the large trunk space of my '07 Accord and sporty look of my 2017 👍
Idk I like the more minimalist design of the accord.
I looked at both and settled on the Accord. However, I have to admit a large part of my decision was based on pass experience with the Accord and Lexus (Toyota). Yes, I know you can't compare a Lexus to either of the cars but Lexus is made by Toyota. My most recent car was a 2015 Honda Accord LX which I purchased new. I just sold it with 233,000 miles on it. Other than routine maintenance, I had NO repairs. Heck, I didn't need new brakes until about 120,000 miles! The Lexus I had was a 2013 ES300. If it hadn't been for the warranty I would have been stuck with some major bills (new starter, 2 power window motors, one new axle and some other minor repairs). Maybe I got a lemon, right? Anyway, so far I have 1800 miles on my new Accord and loving it!
what kind of mpg are you averaging?
where are you traveling to with all those miles
I have a 2019 honda accord sport 1.5 liter - same with the maintenance mainly - i bought a new battery when it tested low after I left it on all night-then a minor air conditioning repair bill cost about $175 I got new brakes around 119,000 miles as well. I'm not considering buying another one-let my ex keep it but it was a great car! loved it
I just got a 2023 Camry awd se and I love it
Did I mention my silky smooth V6 powertrain with a real eight speed auto, no comparison. I’d take the last GEN Honda Accord over the new one in a heartbeat.
Great video. I am thinking the sound decibel test is not correct though. I really wanted to know the comparison and what you did was run the car thinking the engine at 55 was the main source of noise. You ran your test on different roads. Road type and structure make up the main source or road noise in sedans. We all know what it is like driving on a concrete road vs. fresh asphalt in terms of noise. Asphalt roads themselves vary greatly as is the noise from tires rolling over them. For a true test, you would at least want to drive in the same stretch of road to assess decibels and I'd really like to know the difference. Overall though, this was great. Thanks again.
Thanks! Like we said, we will be running the Accord on the same road surface back at home soon when we get one on loan
@@CarConfections when do you estimate you will have this review?
Honda took a HUGE step backward with this new Accord. I loved the 10th gen's giant front grill and aggressive stance because it was a HUGE middle finger to the Mid-sized, family sedan market. I was looking forward to the 11th gen keeping that sporty look. This redesign was a frickin' joke -- such a let-down.

I have 2021 Honda Accord 2.0T. A blast to drive! Absolutely no issues at all. I prefer the styling on the 2021 over the 2023. Why pay for a smaller engine and bland styling?? My Honda dealership has been trying to buy my 2.0T back from me every time I go in for oil changes 😂. I’m not selling lol

Available with a naturally aspirated, port and direct injected V6 along with a geared 8-speed automatic makes this comparison a complete no brainer. Camry is the clear winner. Honda essentially turned the Accord into disappointment on wheels.
Nissan's Altima use to be a top quality car that could compete with the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry. Nissan's had a quality control problem, with ideals of the car's productions, due to a CEO that messed things up. My father owned two Nissan Altima cars. A V6 3.5L and a 4 Cylinder later on. I would be happy with both the Honda Accord or the Toyota Camry SE or XSE. I would prefer the 4 Cylinder 2.5L over the V6 in the Camry. It gets 26mpg. Not bad. With gas at higher prices these days. The extra power you get with the V6, is not a big deal to me. When, I went to a Honda dealership. They told me that in cars, they no longer have the V6 in the new cars anymore. The Honda 4 Cylinder makes up for the power of the V6. By having it as a turbo model. I plan to buy a Toyota Camry in the future. I like the body style better. But, both are very good cars.
Nissan was always worse but they are good if you got the money and only drive it less than 100k before selling tbh. Honda before the small displacement turbos made cars that would go for an eternity.
