I live in nyc and having a bacon egg and cheese before school was just an everyday thing here...definitely the 1 breakfast here
Big facts
With no bev. NEVER A BEV!!!

One final step... I would wrap it in some foil or parchment paper for a couple of minutes right after it’s put together to let it steam and let the flavors meld (and this way you can put the cheese on top the way the bodega guys do it 😊)
thank you for pointing that out. Not many people know that's 1 of the things that makes the bacon (sausage) egg and cheese so awesome in NY Metro area and beyond. And it's gotta be a hard roll, not toasted.
That's why you wrap it up to eat at work or make it the next day so you can just warm it up again and enjoy. I wrap mine in paper towel and then foil. Remove the foil and reheat.
His personality is just so bubbly and I can really see the joy he has for this dish
It's only a bacon egg cheese 🧀
New Yorker living in Texas and let me tell you. NY bodega breakfast sandwiches are the best! I miss them everytime I'm drinking coffee. Nothing can replace that soft bread, melty cheese, and soft chewy bacon! Props buddy 😎
We don’t care
'Nother NY expat in the TX area. There's nothing here that even approaches it.
I’m from Texas and lived up North for the past 4-5 years. I always missed the Texas breakfast tacos, burritos, etc SO much! I grew accustomed to the BEC and now that I’m back home down South I miss it so much too! It’s such a simple thing so I now make it myself all the time but nothing beats it from a true bodega.
@@m.l.central9063 No, YOU don’t care
I moved to Texas cause I hate NYC
That sandwich looks delicious. However I have to say as a former bodega employee grown up in Queens New York, that is not how you make a legit New York bodega bacon egg and cheese. You literally just cracked the egg on top of the griddle and break the yoke drop one slice of cheese salt pepper and put on a roll. This is more like an omelette
Did you use a specific kinda roll? I’ve been randomly buying bread at the store to recreate the one I had in the city and it’s not working out lmao
@@MADanimeGURL3 it’s called a keiser roll
If you want an authentic 70's New York Baconeggancheezeonnahardroll (we talk fast in the city so it sounds like one long word), cook the egg over easy, once flipped put a slice of cheese on top of the egg, then put 3 strips of crispy Bacon and then the egg and slightly melted cheese on a New York style Hard Roll which is a Kaiser Roll that is baked, then brushed with butter on top and sprinkled with some Poppy Seeds then baked some more to harden the crust slightly - slightly crunchy outside, soft inside. Then, when it is all put together, served wrapped in foil, you press the Hard Roll together so the Bacon breaks the soft yoke and melds into the "sangwhich" - as we say in the Bronx. That broken yoke... that's the flavor! Oh, and don't forget a "Regula Cawfee tago" in a Greek Diner style "We are happy to serve you" paper cup with a white plastic lid and a tab you pull up and snap back onto the lid to make a sipping hole. In the New York Tristate area, a Regula Cawffe is brewed medium roast coffee with milk and 2 sugars. There is sometin' about the "wadta" in New York that makes it better.
Fagettaboutit!
I love Justin! He seems so bubbly and lovely. I hardly ever comment on videos, but I had to let y’all know that Justin needs to come around more often
His excitement makes me excited
Why you gotta call it trashy?
Isnt it

Woke up this morning needing that baconeggandcheese from back in the day; not a bodega within 3000 miles of this place. U my absolute dawg. Headed to the store right now!
I like how you didn’t put anything extra into it, just the basics. Subed
I just ate a bacon egg and cheese sandwich I’m sooo trashy . And thanks for your approval to make my breakfast sandwich the way I want .
straight up live off of only bodega bacon egg and cheese sandwiches with french fries whenever I go down to the city for a weekend
Loved his enthusiasm!!
Can confirm, having eaten this, that it is a solid Bacon Egg & Cheese. You make my job easy Justin!!
Nah Baconeggandcheese is one word lol

Throwback to getting my BEC at Wholesome Foods on Stanton & Essex. I would get mine on an everything bagel now and then, but when I got it on the roll, I’d dip it in ketchup. 🤤🤤🤤
Believe it or not the deli that was on Rivington and Allen street made and awesome breakfast and was half the price lol!
Trashy and proud 🙌 yay, Justin!!
This was super fun to watch and this guys passion for the BEC Sammie comes through!!!
omg it was my first time trying this i cant thank you enough
This is exactly how I like my baconeggandcheese on a roll .

Facts that it’s one word

One of the things I miss most moving to Vegas from Jersey. I didn’t know Taylor Ham/ Pork Roll was a Tristate thing before moving out here 😞. So you know what the first thing I have to get when I go back home is…
Going to school here in Brooklyn to working at JFK airport. The kick of the classic Bacon Egg and Cheese WITH Mayo is the energy kicker with a nice small cup of Iced Coffee helps you get through the entire day, if you get it on a hero you don't even need lunch later!
The hard roll is the most difficult thing to duplicate elsewhere. They are indigenous to the NYC area.
the egg & cheese crunchwrap fold is fire af
YUM. Basic foods are the best foods!
Hes super cool, fun and just nice. I'd love to see more of him.
i rarely comment but i think justin has an amazing on-screen personality!! pls feature him more :~)
i moved from nyc a little while ago and my favorite thing was the deli bacon egg and cheeses so this is probably gonna help me
I didn't know it was a thing in US, but I make the exact same thing every morning. Maybe deep in my hearth I've always been a Delist without even knowing.
Even in the US, many Americans don’t know since local delis are not that common. Most Americans live out in the suburbs and live in a car culture world.
BEST SANDWICH EVER
FINALLY I am able to make that delicious sandwich, so I don't have to go to dd for a bacon egg and cheese everything bagle, 10/10 video man love the adituted
He is so adorable. Truly enjoys what he is doing! Also... that sandwich...I'm making it...only with Turkey bacon!
From Jersey and in the summer I eat one probably atleast 3-4 times a week
I’m eating it rn, this is valid.
We make these here in PR with mayorcas. It’s a soft sweet bread topped with powdered sugar and it’s just so delicious
saw him scramble the eggs and immediately knew this was bogus
It needs to be a fried egg where you can’t tell yolk from cheese from butter, all soaked into the roll.
Bingo
Nothing like walking in a NY deli in the morning and seeing that giant pile of bacon on the grill and getting a BEC with SPK
I use regular sliced wheat bread and like I butter it and put the cheese on for it to melt, then I butter the other slice of bread and form my sandwich
No ny or nj deli I’ve ever been to would melt the cheese in the eggs and do the fold over. They put the cheese atop for the last 30 sec and let it soften. But your way is nicer.
Salt, pepper, and hot sauce on mine.
YUM!!! So much fun to watch and so easy to make. Great ingredients and simple technique equals perfection!
It's not my kind of food. But I love how happy he is for his sandwich. Super cute.
Back to the kitchen i go. I make these allthtime
breakfast sandwich in NY is one of the best - many I know always want it because they cant get it where they live
However it does not have to be scrambled eggs - Fried or over easy is my favorite
bacon agreed should be medium
American Cheese yes but think about trying 2 cheeses
Only people from NYC know this is A breakfast for champions
You can find it in Philly neighborhoods and lunch trucks there too. You’re less likely to see it in other regions of the country though but a bagel version can be found though if you search
A few things... Most places will do bacon in the oven because it's easier to do large quantities... They usually throw them on the flat top when making sandwich which makes it crispier. Love your emphasis on light scramble, eggs done on the flat top and usually just smeared which makes them streaky. Most places put the cheese directly on the roll and it melts from the heat after being wrapped it paper/foil. MUST BE Boars Head Yellow American! Salt end pepper on eggs while cooking, ketchup on CHEESE-SIDE of roll for bonus points. Lightly toasting the roll with butter on flat top is the absolute pinnacle of breakfast sandwichdom. I'll overlook some shady shit if they go that extra mile.
In my opinion baking bacon is the only way to go when you get it cook it at 350 till 80% done. Refrigerate it and then when you want some throw it in a pan and bam. Perfect bacon in 2 minutes or less.
What kind of egg style is that called where he is frying them? Its not over easy or over medium so what would you call that?
Love the subtitles thanks for vdo.)
My friend will eat two of these
I saw this video before and I already them at least once a week
He prefers cheddar cheese, though
Best breakfast sandwich I evet tasted, especially with home fries
You put love in that sandwich🤟💯😎
This Jersey girl approves! You can sub bacon for pork roll...yummy!!!
Can't wait to try this.
When I was a broke freshman in college, I ate this breakfast for one straight semester 😭
Dank on a toasted, buttered English muffin. And I go fried eggs instead of scrambled.
@delish ! we want more Justin!!!
looks awesome i think u should season eggs and butter the rolls looks fire tho
Personally I'd have mine with a little bit more bacon but yeah this really is that Deli style
A kingly sandwich.
Love a BEC. All of 'em. Even the bad ones I've had are good. This one looks Delish indeed. But Justin starts by saying the most important thing to him is the Kaiser roll and then says the most important thing is the cheese. 🤔
Jersey baconeggandcheese’s can’t be beat coming from a jersian💯
Unless it’s a pork roll, egg, and cheese. Or Taylor Ham, depending on which part of the state you’re from. It’s a Jersey thing. 😁
Thanks you KNOW damn well I have nothing of these ingredients in my house! So now I’m left sad + hungry =🙄 😂❤️❤️
Would you do a taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich
Justin you are a comedian 😂😂😂
Legend
looks soooo good
Oh yes only us NYers know how DAMN AMAZING these are. It's so simple yet so amazing.
Looks so delicious! 😀🥓🥚🍳🧀🥪
i want to eat one right now
That little fold that you left at the end of that far left strip really disturbed me.
Looks great
Gawwwwwd I miss these sandwiches just as much as the pizza. LA has NOTHING on NYC for food.
Dear Breakfast Sandwich God, I am drooling. Bless you for this beautiful recipe and video. *drools some more*
could we put home fries on this?
Looks so yummy! I've learned a new way to make breakfast sandwiches - Thanks! It looks awesome
“all you need to make the perfect cheese sauce is american cheese baby ! “
Looks so good!!!!!
You forgot the butter! But I would gladly pay you Tuesday for one of the sandwiches today. LOL.
Where the butter on the roll or the salt and pepper?
I'm actually eating bacon egg and cheese right now
Perfection! I would add butter to the buns, ketchup, hot sauce and mayo. But I'm me, for better or for worse, lol!!
i keep thinking that's a days inn logo on that shirt
i think the bread needed some more butter lol
Anyone know how to get the real sausage that’s used on an egg sandwich in New York? I moved to Georgia a few years ago and cannot find the right sausage. It’s driving me crazy
Got to stack up the cooked bacon on the side of the commercial griddle
1:15 THANK YOU! I’m totally with you on that. No need for ketchup.
He’s awesome !
No bev???
not the no bev😩😩😭
Neva neva neva
I do homemade Bagel with Bacon, Egg and Cheese a 100% organic, Non-Gmo
i miss nyc food
You didn’t butter the bread
bro you gotta toast the bread in the bacon grease then fry the egg for maximum ockiness
Exactly
Being from NJ, BEC's are a religion. Its the staple. Normal breakfast? BEC. Hungover brunch? BEC. Also, idc what you think....always get Salt Pepper Ketchup on your BEC.
Looks great but the eggs need to be over easy or over medium
Don’t call em trashy, they classy.
Ain’t nobody get away with calling bacon egg cheese trashy
It taste like happiness ty I was starving 😌
What about the salt pepper ketchup?
I always order eggs over medium. Never scrambled
Bake your Bacon 🥓 !!!! 375 degrees
