Mama Jo is NYC's Official Grandmother of Breakfast | Street Food Icons
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 май 2024
- Mama Jo has been serving breakfast staples like bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches and omelets and traditional Greek pastries, such as spanakopita and baklava, from her food truck in Midtown Manhattan for over 35 years. She claims to be NYC’s oldest street food vendor and isn’t planning on retiring her legendary food cart any time soon.
Mama Jo’s breakfast menu is longer than some dine-in restaurants’ menus, and it’s all done without sacrificing quality. She gets her ingredients fresh every morning in Astoria, Queens, serves food with a smile, and genuinely cares about her customers, really earning the name Mama Jo.

I always prefer buying from the NYC food carts rather than starbucks or dunkin donuts. These food carts are run by such humble and passionate people. And their food is so delicious.
And taste good and doesn't cost alot
Facts bro gotta support the local people not the corporations !

This is exactly how customer service should be anywhere. I was a server for 10 years and most of my now closest friends started off as my customers. People like authenticity over cookie cutter service most times.
If you want true authenticity, you’d tell customers how dumb they are. Unfortunately you can’t do that without losing your job. Can’t tell how many times I’ve wanted my tables to speak the fuck up so I can hear them. Or when they say they’re ready but they just say “oh! I get a side??? I have options? Honey what do you want for your side?”Then continue to argue with each other while I’m standing there like 👀”
Edit: forgot to add I’m in SW Florida where majority of my guest of old people. Good money but damn.
@@zzzarkka I dont think customer service is for you.
I have only two years of experience, but I learned that lesson pretty early on and from a customer, no less. When a customer came frequently enough, I'd learn their name and even be able to recognize their voice over the speaker, and I'd call them by name. Eventually, regulars for your company become regulars for you. I've had customers follow me to other stores so I could continue to serve them because they liked me. Customers like that have this magical ability to eclipse the otherwise shitty parts of the job and make it worth doing.
