  • Welcome to "In the Zone", the educational elk hunting video series from Elk101! In this series, 11-time World Elk Calling Champion, Corey Jacobsen, breaks down real elk calling scenarios, and details what tactics and strategies were used - as well as what could have been used - to maximize elk calling success.
In this Episode (Episode 7), Corey explains the how and why associated with getting on the same level as an elk before setting up to call. By moving in and getting on the elk's level, you'll eliminate the visual advantage an elk has, as well as a possible physical disadvantage that they might perceive. But there's another, even more important factor that is drastically reduced when you get on the same level as an elk...
If you've ever wanted a play-by-play breakdown of actual elk calling setups to help you become a more successful elk caller, "In the Zone" by Elk101.com is the series you've been waiting for!

Corey, I have a few dad jokes for you. 1)The Black Eyed Peas can sing us a tune but The Chick Peas can only hummus one. 2)When does a joke turn into a dad joke? When it becomes apparent. 3)When bees move into a new hive, do they have a house swarming party? 4) What kind of Dr is Dr. Pepper? A fizzician.

Corey you and Donny need to checkout the bow spider system! I recently picked one up at an archery shoot! It is so much easier to load and unload your bow from the pack rather than taking your pack off to unstrap it! On and off one handed with some practice! It’s definitely going to be a game changer for September! Highly recommended product!
Keep up the videos and pointers y’all are rockin it!!👍🏻👍🏻

I have one. Used it last year and it was fantastic. I have 2. I keep one one my hip belt of my pack and one on top of my pack. If I need to get from point A to point B in a hurry, now goes on top of my pack. If I'm just sort of stalking along, it goes on my hip.

I'm in year 6 of elk hunting and well on my way to being average. Unfortunately time has been very very short this year and and far from the shape I should be in. So I'm soaking up your videos and hopefully something will sink in my noggin so if I'm lucky enough to have 1 opportunity, I can take full advantage.
