I like the google earth point of view on showing us what you guys were doing and where and what the elk was doing, I like the live camera view on Corey and Dirk and liked how Corey narrated what was happening and the strategy. I loved this video format and thought it was done perfect! I hope you can continue with this style, Thanks guys!
Thanks Mike!
This is awesome with the "cartoon" visuals to actually SEE what is happening rather than leaving it up to the imagination to understand. Thank you!
I’ve been wanting someone to make a video like this for so long. As a new hunter and someone that didn’t grow up in a hunting family, being able to visualize your setup and tactics is absolutely invaluable. Looking forward to more of these!
Thanks Evan!
Thanks for putting this together for the rest of us,,
Excellent breakdown in every way! The Google earth screenshot and moving the figures around as you explain the setup was so helpful.
Thanks Luke!
this is exactly what i need. ive been before with a guide, but doing public land with a 2 man team this gives me the understanding of what to do have to set eachother up for the good shot. the format is perfect too. thanks
The best elk hunting I've watched. Run and gun. Awsome job guys. You definitely know what your doing.
Thank you Corey. Keep em coming. As a novice, self learning hunter in my 30s I'm grateful for this sort of video series.
Now THIS is what I've been waiting for. Explaining these scenarios is exactly what people need. Being able to see it explained instead of visualizing a story helps tremendously. Thanks a lot and keep it up. You guys rock.
Thank you Cory! One of the best instructional/strategy lessons I’ve watched! Your use of 3D google maps made it so much easier to visualize and understand what was happening. Watching that sequence in Destination Elk I visualized the terrain and set up much differently. I hope these videos become a regular thing!
They will be a regular series for sure Mike! We'll be launching new ones as quickly as we're able to produce them. Thanks so much!
I watched the entire Destination series and this breakdown describing what happened behind the scenes of the hunt i thought was great! I've watched it several times.
I wish I could give this a triple “thumbs up!” the discussion of what the bull did and how you were moving and reacting to his actions is pure gold! Thanks
Thank you Bill!
This type of narrative video is the next best thing to being there. Thanks for taking the time to explain the dynamics and your logic to the situation. Although , I would much rather be there in person for the lesson. Professor Jacobson, it is great to be back in school......the University of Elk school!
Great video. I’ll definitely be coming back to revisit these videos come closer to the fall.
I really like the focus of this new series. Most out of state hunters only have one week a year to learn through experience. Great to learn from your strategy and what you wished you would have done.
This is Absolutely Genius. . . For all the "Elk Addicts" out there asking the how to questions, we can all forward this right here. Bomb. Great work. And easy too.
Awesome work! Always excited to see you post another video! You can really explain things in a way every one can understand good job man.
Thanks Justin!
This is exactly what I've been waiting for in a video series thanks so much great information
Very easy to follow instructions. Great step by step/play by play of what did and what should have happened. Thanks guys!
Thank you guys! Can't wait for more
One of the best bugles I've heard keep it simple
Cool series. Look forward to more.
This helps so much! This is what I was hoping to gain from the destination elk series. Please do more of these!! And Keep up the great work.
Absolutely perfect! Love the play by play of the hunt along with the aerial photo example of what was occurring. Very informative and something to learn from!
Thank you for all the educational and calling tactics you have taught me lots on setting up and setting up with the thermals and terrine and obstacles to over come and a successful hunt thank you so very much Corey
Such an awesome video. With the play by play and diagramed movements I felt like I was there on the hunt giving me an experience that I would have had to drawn a tag to get. Keep them coming!
Great addition, really like the commentary as well as the descriptions. Thanks again for taking the time to share and educate.
Need more of this type of videos. Great job and when you guys critique yourself sure gives great insight. I remembered this from the series and knew the outcome but was great to see the details and what you thought you should have done differently. Thanks!
What a great narrated story to tell and show us what is going on. I learned a ton from this one video, can't wait to watch them all. Keep up the good work!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first video of the series. I just watch it for the first time and was blown away by the value of information that was shared by you guys! The Google earth and graphic details along with a step-by-step details of what you were thinking as far as strategy, to put the shooter in the best position to make the shot was absolutely invaluable. I look forward to watching the other two in the series! Please, please, please, keep adding to that playlist!! It is a remarkable re-production of your previous hunts, that you can make in the off-season to keep your subscribed viewers educated and entertained. it is absolutely a homerun!
Wow!! Thank you Corey! This knowledge is priceless, so awesome to see the Dynamics of this call in in detail... Can't wait to see more
I love the breakdown of the thought process behind the hunt. Great work as always.
Love this series! Awesome, thank you Mr. Jacobson.
Cory! Thank you so much for being willing to help us learn and be more efficient in the elk woods. Good stuff!
This was one of the most clear instruction tools/videos I’ve ever seen. Revisiting these situations with some google earth views provides overview and context that really helps to understand what was happening, why you did what you did, and frankly it’s the mistakes that were some of the most helpful in learning something about this... Thank you!
Enjoying this series immensely!
Corey Thank you for the details. These important details to concentrate on as we are out in the field helps us all. I am really enjoying this indepth look at the setups.
Great content, love the fact that you showed a diagram of your tactics. The split screen of the caller and the shoot is perfect as well. Love your stuff!! Keep it coming!
Thank you Corey and Elk 101 crew. These videos are a great concept for teaching. The combination of film and google earth map really provides the whole picture. Looking forward to more of these in the future.
I love hunting it’s truly so amazing and it’s a perfect break from everything and it’s just so peaceful.
I am really excited about these videos to come. I really like the visuals like the map layout. Thanks!
Awesome video! Thanks for posting!
LOVED this style of video. Great job guys, can't wait to see more!
This was by far most informative break down of a setup and calling tactics. Keep them coming! Being from the east I need as much help as I can get. It makes me think of setups that Ive made and what may have happened. Great job
Thanks Jeremiah!

Thanks for the lesson Cory
Great educational tool. Nice to see the setup on the terrain. My only request if you make more of these, keep adding in the wind direction, especially when you are in an actual set up.
Love the visual map of what was going on.
Top notch content as usual Mr. Jacobsen! 👍

This is awesome. Already learning a couple more tools. Thank yoy
Great detailing on how to set up!!
I’m probably not making it back to the elk woods until 2020, but I want to be more ready when I do get back to the elk woods!

Thanks for doing this this, it is a great learning tool!
this is a great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Great info thanks Cory
so awesome! please hurry September!
This format is awesome. It is very similar to how I try to piece together what just happened after a hunt. It's really cool to see and learn from you guys in a very relatable way. Love seeing the footage from the moment paired up with the 3D google earth aerial. It really helps bring it to life. Do you guys ever do this *in the moment*?
Outstanding
Awesome, I'm hoping to pull an elk tag this coming year.
Always something to learn, and hind sight is always 20/20. Shoulda couda woulda!
That was great to show the details with google earth, talk about the mistakes and how to handle in the future. I watched the episode and missed some of the key details.
So close..great hunt
The videos are awesome and waiting on the next!! Step by step strategy's, Google Earth character set up on Google..... You guys are killing it. Thanks!! What Reed and broad heads are you using?
Great Video, Very informative. Like all hunting there is something to learn, even when your successful!
I agree. I was successful this year and learned alot about what made me successful and how I could have done it better. Truth be told I shouldn't have been I got lucky. But sometimes luck is the answer.
