Sleep deprivation is always hard to get through those mental hand/eye challenges so it's always nice to have friendly people lending a helping hand. Nice red sun dress. Liked the bit of content on the walkthrough of the fort. Thank you for that.
Hi Alan, there's a full fort tour video coming soon. 👍
8:56 "Standby to repel boarders!"
Catsssssss 😂
Stephen also uses a CPap machine and we have struggled to get enough energy at anchor for him to use his machine. As soon as we can afford it we plan to look into other options.
Although I am glad that you are sharing the mistakes you make. We are only six months into living aboard and the first 4-5 months was spent tied down for upgrades and repairs. So we are learning, sometimes by making mistakes. It’s been interesting to see the negative comments we have gotten on RUclips about our less than perfect sailing. It’s nice to know that even experienced sailers still have less than perfect days.
(Baz) Hi and thanks for watching. I just go a link from a subscriber to this product. Maybe it will help with your power issue. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SJCTCN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NZ6XVBM9TQ84MQG072RX
Change over day in Marmaris. It's like gouging your eyes out with a rusty spoon! 😁But, once your in, a great place with plenty to see and there is the chandeliers, all 58 of them. Sail Safe Guys, Ant, Cid & the pooch crew.
Love that! Just had a chuckle at the rusty spoon reference.
Love it. Bet that BEER helped. We loved Marmaris
Cold beer of a hot day... Mmmmm 🍺
Mid October this year we had 37kts of wind entering Kas marina! Luckily the staff found us a sheltered berth. Next day we had 45kts in Gocek bay!
Yeah the winds along this part of the Turkish coast can make for interesting times. Cheers. 👍
Wonderful prople! Very sympathetic and with a lot of humour. I love your videos, they are excellent… once one passes quickly after your intro music. Why on Earth do you have this scarry movie type of intro music?!
Glad you like them Philippe. Our intro music is not to everyone's taste, but the majority like it. Thanks for watching and being a subscriber. 👍
While you were talking to the camera, there was a cat standoff around the 6:33 minute marker. Maybe a little foreplay ensued off-camera? 🙀😻
There are lots of cats in the marina, some are pets and some are strays. They keep rats and mice to a minimum thankfully.
Aannsha what a lovely red outfit. Baz you lucky dog!
(Baz) 🐶 👍
The bathers? 😊 ... thank you! ☺
Hi Barry, i use the Air sense 10 which has a DC power cord it works when i was trucking and when im out camping as a low draw on the batteries and last all night
(Baz) That's interesting info Jeff. I'll dig into that. We are just about to have breakfast with our patron Jim and we're sitting at the table discussing my cpap options. Talk about good timing. Cheers.
Dont sweat it Barry….You got in, safely tied up and no harm done. We have all made small errors. Just take your time and dont get pressurised by anything going on around you….and if you are not comfortable… go around again.
(Baz) Thank you Petyr. 👍
When I travelled through Turkey on a motorcycle, when leaving, the motorcycle had to be x-rayed to check for any hidden antiquities. I had none but a unique experience
That's interesting to hear and it makes sense. As you've seem from our videos you can freely wander all over ancient sites and it would be easy for someone to pick up a souvenir.
@@SailingABSea I think it is a serious problem for them and I can understand. I was happy to have it done. They were very polite and explained it all to me
👍😎
Cheers mate.
I understand very much the day sailing go with the wind , as a live aboard in general you can wait ,
I have crossed the med doing deliveries , thats worse , the owner wants his boat , engine on , lol
Sometimes we can wait and sometimes we can't. We are looking forward to being out of the Med so we can enjoy some consistent wind patterns. 👍
@@SailingABSea lol it ain't the red sea route ,
And its the same everywhere, if you have a destination 6ou wait or slog, if you go Atlantic crossing , alot of waiting . Atlantic , Spain Portugal, the same .
Don’t blame yourself … it was Friday 13th !!!
😂😂😂
Hi both. Great video as always. As you will have gathered we didn’t get to Turkey (no availability) so Aquarela and crew are wintered in Montenegro. Just about to contract with Setur Kas for next year. Will you guys still be in the med in 2022 for that long planned beer?
Hi Jon, hope you have a woolly jumper for winter in Montenegro. 🎅 Yes we'll still be here in 2022. 🍺🍺
@@SailingABSea Excellent. (nly took us 5 years to catch-up 😂👍🍻
Fingers crossed.
Well recognising mistakes is the very first step at addressing them. Maybe first mate needs to have a go? (Useful redundancy measure) I had sleep apnoea - bit the bullet and went serious Keto, lost 70Ibs - no more sleep apnoea. If you want a link to useful resource just shout.😉
(Baz) I've been keto for 6 weeks now, so far lost 1.3 kilo. This is my major winter project. Cheers.
@@SailingABSea Well done - it’s a very hard road, but if you keep the faith it most definitely works. My B.I.L. Followed my example he had been T2 Diabetic for 5 years and within 3 months was off his diabetic meds. It is tough being disciplined as all the carbs are stuff of treats- easier to do as a couple though for mutual support.
Agreed on doing it as a couple. The upside is that a trip to the supermarket for shopping now takes approx 90 seconds as there are whole isles we have no need to go down. Hahahahaha 😂
@@SailingABSea Absolutely we joke (seriously) that we shop in 10% of the supermarket.👍
That's amazing Norman. I first went keto in Greece and lost 10Kg. It's great to see Baz benefiting from it too now. And it easier when both of us are doing it.
🍺👍
Cheers mate. 🍺
Friday 13th and bananas? Don't know that one, i am Dutch.
Bad luck to keep bananas on a boat as the the gas they emit rots other fruit and veg. They are also blamed for fish not biting 😂
@@theaquarelians1398 they're also radioactive..
Friday 13th is an unlucky day in superstition and as Jon pointed out the bananas make other fruit and veg rot faster than normal. 🍌🍌🍌
It was filled with lager, mate.
How did they keep the fizz in? 🤔
@@SailingABSea It quickly went flat so when the Brits saw this they thought why don’t we make it flat to start with?
😂😂😂
@@razisn 😂
Better start wearing a hat ol fella, those ears and ya nose will love ya
I wear hats (beanie) in winter to stay warm... Does that count? 🤔 😂
@@SailingABSea Fine, don't forget though, that you get double burnt out on the water, the sun coming down, but also reflecting back up off the water... it's like a double whammy.... Got to watch out for those little cancers, they are a bitch.
(Baz) Fully understand Shane. Used to have regular check ups in Oz.
You mentioned a contract expiring in 14 days. What is this contract? JB
Our 12 month contract at Kas marina ended August 31st.
:-) :-) :-)
Hey Freddie. 👍
Sleep apnea is caused by shortage of B-1 vitamin and acidosis from sugar/ meat in diet. Might look at Dr. Berg's video on YT. A vegetarian diet will cure it. take care
(Baz) Thanks for that information Alice, I'll look into that video. 👍
Why are they 'marineros' if it is Turkey?
"Marineros" seems to be a generic term that is used in many countries along the Mediterranean. Probably because the Turkish term is rather had to pronounce. After all, the term "French fries" isn't limited to just 'France'. 😉
@@AannshaJones 😄
Sleep apnea's a bitch.
Actually - that hole in the wall - was where I pulled my drawers and farted in their general direction.
Kidding aside - the Fort looked really cool - I watched that part two times. I too could imagine the pot filled with wine.
@@murrayspiffy2815 😂
@@murrayspiffy2815 We'll put together a longer video on this one as well ... soon...
@@AannshaJones - thanks - looking forward to it. It's weird - I had a strong premonition that you guys were going to name drop me in this video. And there it was.
