Dear Aannsha & Baz, You took the leap and got to live the dream! One way or the other there comes a day that dream is over, time for new dreams. It’s better to have lost in live, then never to have lived at all…….. You both can be proud of yourselfs. Thank you for taking us on board. Wishing you all the best.
One door closes another one opens…that’s the adventure of life. Would love to see you both still showing your travel vlogs as you are absolutely lovely top top people. Please don’t say goodbye forever🙏
@SailingABSea *_ Greetings A + B ...yep, it has been a long time but glad you're home and moving on. As far as your back is concerned...... KEEP MOBILE at all costs no matter how painful.... endure it.... I am 75 and have severe Ankylosing Spondylitis (Arthritis in the Spine) and the only way I can keep going is by Working - Moving around as a Handyman EVERY day otherwise I would be as stiff as a pole ..... Yes, it's sore but do you want to be chair-bound and have your spine "Sieze-Up' on you?...... Wishing comfort as there is sadly no other way out but with Love, Massages and perseverance... plus a few Paracetamol. Best wishes to both of you. _*
(Baz😀) I'm actually working in a 74 story hotel in Brisbane as a maintenance officer. There's a lot of physical movement involved when installing fridges, dishwashers and washing and drying machines. So I reckon I've got the right job.
It was great to hear you are both ok and have plans. So glad you actually had the chance to sail for 6 years, as Baz said, live your dreams and don't wait!! Thank you for all the great content, adventures and humility. Brisbane is not a bad place to be!! Fair winds and big hugs.
We missed you both. My wife and I enjoyed watching your adventures, and introducing us to ABSea and all the lovely places you visited. We are not committed to a live on board life on our boat, you are a lot braver than we are, but we can understand why you did it. We are still exploring the Adriatic, but your videos have made us keen to visit some of the places your enjoyable video style has introduced us all to. Best of luck in whatever you do next. Alison and David (Alma Sofia)
Dear Ansha and Baz We started watching you from the beginning and your movies gave us lots of pointers as husband and wife traveling the Turkish coast and Aegean after we bought our bigger boat in 2020. We were sorry to watch your health issues and happy that you are fine now. I would like to say that you have many “dost” in Turkey and you are always welcome to come stay at our guest house in Marmaris if the winds blow you in this direction or you miss this part of the world. You are a great couple and lovely knowledgeable seafarers. We learned many of the “A”, “B” “Sea” of cruising as husband and wife from your shared experiences 💙💙 All the best, Levent and Sarah
Chapter Sailing A B Sea ends. Well Done! New Chapter Begins 'A B Sea's The World' ? Thank You for the years and i am looking forward to the next Travels. 😎
Another great Video. The great thing about your videos were they were from the heart, you said it the way it was. May I wish you every success in the future.
No matter the sailing seems to be over for the moment, it's great to see you again. Sharing the same anchorage with you in Didim and handing over a fresh drone footage of the AB Sea to you will always be one of my nicest sailing memories!.. I wish you all the best, guys! Thanks for your contribution to yachting and tourism in TR as well... Great job!..
Thank you for sharing some of your life and interests with us! I dont think you need a boat to make great videos. Wish you both the best, and hope to hear from you in the future :)
Guys, your channel popped up one day for me as a new sailing channel. I signed up and started to watch your adventures. It was several years ago. After a while I not only watched your posts for sailing, but also for yourselves. So just relax and make vlogs about anything you want, whenever you want. when I see it, I will always welcome you from here, just like bumping to some nice people again after some time.
That was a pleasure to be here on your channel. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Wish you health, happiness and good luck. And waiting in nearest future ... The Book with the same name. Sailing A.B.Sea. ;-)
Hi Aannsha and Barry. So good to see you back on our screen. It was a pleasure to spend the day with you last year when you were in Turkey. We look forward to watching whatever travels you wish to share with us. Your videos are always so entertaining. Thanks for all your hard work putting the videos together. You were always one of our favourite channels. Cheers and take care, Denise & Bryan - SV Willow II
Keep the dreams alive!!! We have loved your sailing adventures and can't wait for the next chapter. Thank you for this very emotional update! Patreon in waiting, ABC The World is fab ❤🎉
Lovely to see you both again! Leaving your liveaboard life must have been immensely difficult. We're two years in ... and know that 'final day' aboard will come to us at some point too. Thank you for sharing your journey. Hope the memories remain strong and make you smile every day :--)
Thank you for the video it was great to see how you wrapped up your sailing adventures and now onto new adventures hopefully even the odd scuba adventure if that is still possible, looking forward to see your next video whenever that may be.
Thank you very much for your reply. I bought a sewing machine industrial and I’ve been making different things for my sailboat. Now I’m going to make a cover over the doorway with vinyl windows and I’ve also made some shade cloth covers for the summer. I’ve got a repair the bottom of the main sale a bit and then I am making a sale pack and I’m having heaps of fun. They said you can’t have fun after 70
Thanks for all the pleasure and joy you have brought to me during your time on board ABSea through your videos. Stay healthy and save down under and G‘day to you both and your family 🙋🏼♂️⛵️
We’ve been wondering how you two have been doing. Your videos made me comfortable with our decision to embrace our own adventure. It seems ironic we are here now and you there. Your frank and honest portrayal of this life has been very helpful and as you close the hatch on ABSea it dawned on me that will be another moment we all will have to experience. However next season is Turkey and we will be revisiting your videos as you guide us through. Thank you so much and all the best for your future.
Hello Both. Now that was a tough gig, even with a years’ gap. Life is about making memories and you both certainly did that in your five year adventure afloat. It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all - and all that. Wishing you all the best for the adventures that lay ahead .😀👍⛵️
I have enjoyed your videos over the past few years and will miss seeing you aboard AB Sea and your adventures. Wishing you God speed and hope to see you in some form of adventure in the future.
Wow! It was awesome to see your latest video online! Meeting you guys was one of the highlights of our Turkey trip, and since March of this year we are the proud owner of a Moody 41😎
Hello guys! It’s really nice to see you again. I know exactly how you guys felt when you left your boat behind. Fun fact, sometimes I still watching your old videos.😂 I am very happy to see you guys doing all well❤
Great to find out what happened. I would add accupunture to your treatment plan. It is amazing how kind it is to knotted muscles. I just did a small trip to SE Asia, Malayasia, Borneo, Sinngapore while on leave pending retirement. I would love to try Turkey, will you ever go back? I have bought a small bluewater yacht to occupy myself while staying in Sydney. Plus I want to travel Australia using a Hybrid Rav4 and Adventure pod. Look forward to your next adventures.
(Baz) I did try acupuncture and I really didn't like it. Turkey is a long way from Australia and as we said in the video there are so many places close to Australia that we have to explore. Let us know if you're ever passing Brisbane in your Rav 4.
You helped keep us sane during those "special years", because at least someone had more problems than we did :-) I hope that you can find something to provide content in the future, we enjoy your company.
Lovely to see you two again and you have a good son that looks like his dad what will be will be as long as you are all happy and hope to see a video now and then iv mist you two have a great life what ever you do all the best from me and the UK ❤

Glad that you made one more episode we really miss them and we had hoped that we would had cathed up so we could had met but that wasn’t to be. Hope you found a good new way of living. All the best
Thank you for a great video. Looking forward to seeing more adventures from you. When you moved off your boat, was it difficult to send you cargo from Turkey to Australia. I have heard it can be a problem. Happy trails for the future.
I really enjoyed your channel. May you have a wonderful life back home i might run into you one day in this rat race Bris all the best to you and all your friends. Tony.
Thanks for sharing your adventures ,it been a pleasure to follow you guys throughout your journey……god bless you both…..super hugs from where your adventures began…….Gibraltar!
Good to catch up! Your ABSEA project is a major success. My experience, having done something similar, is to get back fully into the hum drum of life, quickly. Then, if the stars align, you can plan and maybe head off on another adventure. Great to meet you in Kas, what now seems a lifetime ago - good times, and very happy memories. Be good. All my love. Rob xx
All good back home thanks. House, job (for a while!), lots of mountain biking, bought a motorbike......planning an adventure! We'll keep in touch xx@@SailingABSea
So happy to see you again guys, please enjoy Brisbane now that you are there, and send my regards to South Bank, I still miss that place. Cheers from Buenos Aires!
Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and inspiration. I followed right from the beginning. It is so great that you made the move and pursued the adventure. You created an incredible adventure and experience for yourselves. Bravo!
Great to see your video. I’ve often wondered how you got on after leaving Turkey and your boat. Thanks for sharing your sailing adventures over the years. Good luck with your future travel videos. I’ll be keen to see where you guys go. 😃
Baz and Aannsha - We wish you the best in your new journey and will always cherish our visit with you in Marmaris! We've missed following and learning from your ABC adventures! We look forward to hearing about your next! Mutlu yolculular! Best regards, Len (#001 VCM) and Guniz (Cesme)
Thank you for the update as painful as it must have been. I needed the closure too… Yours was one of the first channels I found a couple of years ago when I thought this sailing thing might be something to look into. Inspired at 53 I did a sailing course in Corfu to see what it was all about, and have since bought a 28ft first boat here in Edinburgh (I’m from Coolum so your neck of the woods) with a view to something more like ABSea later, and I now have my retirement plan. Heeding your advice I’m going to bring that plan forward… I miss your videos, and I wish you both well. You’re awesome people and grafters so you’ll be sweet and you’ll find another adventure path I’m sure. We’re waiting to see what it is! Love you guys.
Hi everyone. I'm so happy to see that you both are good and still have your humor. I think that everything has it's time in life and your so right Baz try to full fill your dreams while you can. Best of luck to both of you and of course you're son to from a Swed in France.
It is so good to see you two! Thank you for reaching out with this video. It was well made and a joy to watch. Darn I cried too. Please stay around and share your travels. Be well and thanks for your advice! Get out there and do it now. 🇨🇦
Hi; I was following ABSea from the beginning as we were almost in the same situation as you. First, many thanks for your videos and your always good attitude against problems, etc. Second...came on, buy a Schionning cat and sail the Great Barrier!! Any way good luck on your plans!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching and being part of your adventure. It’s your story and similar others that have assisted us in making our decisions to move onto our new yacht next year. The tips and hints you have provided over the years truly invaluable for future sailors. And if you fancy a sail in the med in coming years, we will always welcome crew on board. 🙏🏻 quick question though. I noticed in this video you talked about two passports. We are the same British and Australian. Are you able to use both for Schengen? So double the time between zones? Not sure if you have had any exposure to that situation. TIA. Stay safe enjoy family and enjoy your next adventure Mark & Leigh
Thank you for putting out this video. Despite it being hard to do, it concludes your sailing adventures and was good to see are both doing okay. I would also like to say thank you for all your previous episodes: I enjoyed your open, relaxed, but enthusiastic style combined with your adventurous spirits. Good luck with the next phase of your lives. Thank you again.
Shew guys long time no see. I was hoping to see you out of the water some day ⛵️. We have also changed things our side we sold our Leopard cat in the Caribbean and bought a bigger one in Thailand so have spent this year this side of the world. Glad all is well with you both. RgardsMikeF
Have missed you guys, sad you've sold her, but onward and upwards to new adventures. Have enjoyed all your video's over the years and has helped me in my decision to buy another yacht to retire on, just which country to purchase it from and start exploring is the hard part.
Hi Guys. I am just a subscriber and vicariously enjoyed your travels. I am very glad you did not just shut down the channel without a word. By the way I am from Brisbane, I was wondering do you live north or south of the brown snake. All the best to both of you.
Have been following this channel for ages, in fact it inspired me to buy my own boat. Can I ask why did you pack in the boat life?, run out of dough or had you simply had enough?.
I might have missed it (I've been following you guys since the beginning), but what, if it's not too personal too disclose) the reason you stopped the sea life?
Glad to see you are both OK, after you had the problems with loss of feeling in your feet and disappeared, I feared the worst. Best of luck for the future
I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned mask-wearing was a cultural thing in Asia. The pandemic has probably just reinforced that cultural custom. It would be nice if you dropped in from time to time if you visited somewhere of interest or with something you would just like to share. If not I wish you both well for the future and thank you for allowing us to share your adventures vicariously. Ian
I would have to say, you two were the inspiration for us to sail to Kas, where we have been for the last 1.5 years. We love Kevin and Mark and the gang. Alp is lovely and we love the people there. I was a shame you left just before we arrived
@@SailingABSea Thanks for being up front about the reason for calling it quits. It might help give a reality to check to other would be cruisers. It's a rewarding but demanding lifestyle. Since I sold my 43 foot sailboat last year (sniff, sniff) I've done some crewing for others including crossing half the Pacific.
Thanks for sharing your boat journey but you haven't explained why you sold the boat (like you said you would in your last video). I know Barry has long covid..?
@@SailingABSeaBTW, you had me in tears from the start. I don't like you...I love you. Thanks for the update. The three of you look amazing. I'm looking forward to your future adventures. ❤
@@nooneanybodyknows7912 😘 It was always wonderful having you along with us, and I appreciate when you've had our backs and stood up to the occasional harsh person. All the very best to you from us both. 💖

Great to find out what happened. I would add accupunture to your treatment plan. It is amazing how kind it is to knotted muscles. Oz is as good as ever. Cheers.
It is so good to see you two! Thank you for reaching out with this video. It was well made and a joy to watch. Darn I cried too. Please stay around and share your travels. Be well and thanks for your advice! Get out there and do it now. 🇨🇦
Thanks for watching.
We miss you guys. All our our joint adventures into history, long discussions on so many subjects. Keep in touch. (No masks here 😁👍) Ant & Cid xx
And we miss you guys as well. 😘😘
Hi; I was following ABSea from the beginning as we were almost in the same situation as you. First, many thanks for your videos and your always good attitude against problems, etc. Second...came on, buy a Schionning cat and sail the Great Barrier!! Any way good luck on your plans!
We have a basic plan with some friends of ours to charter a boat and sail the Whitsundays in 2024. A video will follow that. 👍
So emotional... lave it
Thank you.
TIA.
Stay safe enjoy family and enjoy your next adventure
Mark & Leigh
The Schengen shuffle can't be avoided by having more than one passport.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoyed your series very much ,thank you . Best wishes for the future .
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this update. Was wondering a bit what happened ❤️❤️
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for a great few years look after yourselves ❤
Shew guys long time no see. I was hoping to see you out of the water some day ⛵️. We have also changed things our side we sold our Leopard cat in the Caribbean and bought a bigger one in Thailand so have spent this year this side of the world. Glad all is well with you both. RgardsMikeF
Thanks Mike.
Have missed you guys, sad you've sold her, but onward and upwards to new adventures. Have enjoyed all your video's over the years and has helped me in my decision to buy another yacht to retire on, just which country to purchase it from and start exploring is the hard part.
Start by crossing off the countries you don't want to explore to narrow your search.
Hi Guys. I am just a subscriber and vicariously enjoyed your travels. I am very glad you did not just shut down the channel without a word. By the way I am from Brisbane, I was wondering do you live north or south of the brown snake. All the best to both of you.
We are renting in Clayfield on the north side.
@@SailingABSea Best side of town imho. lol
Hello , good to hear from you … Very emotional episode 😢 I will contact you via PM.. Cheers 🥂
Have been following this channel for ages, in fact it inspired me to buy my own boat. Can I ask why did you pack in the boat life?, run out of dough or had you simply had enough?.
We reached a financial line in the sand that we'd initially drawn on the day we bought the boat.
I might have missed it (I've been following you guys since the beginning), but what, if it's not too personal too disclose) the reason you stopped the sea life?
We reached a financial line in the sand that we'd initially drawn on the day we bought the boat.
Glad to see you are both OK, after you had the problems with loss of feeling in your feet and disappeared, I feared the worst. Best of luck for the future
Find yourselves a place with a backyard and start building a boat. I'd watch that :)
Now that would be a challenge. ⛵
Ian
Cheers Ian. 👍
so what was the reason why you stopped?

I would have to say, you two were the inspiration for us to sail to Kas, where we have been for the last 1.5 years. We love Kevin and Mark and the gang. Alp is lovely and we love the people there. I was a shame you left just before we arrived
Why did you sell the boat?
We reached a financial line in the sand that we'd initially drawn on the day we bought the boat.
I am so sorry. I always thought the plan was to sail her back to Australia @@SailingABSea
Was the boat knackered or did you just run out of money?
Very sad either way😢
We crossed a financial line in the sand that we'd drawn at the very beginning of our journey.
Upfront and honest was always our intention. Cheers.
Thanks for sharing your boat journey but you haven't explained why you sold the boat (like you said you would in your last video). I know Barry has long covid..?

@@SailingABSea May your next chapter be just as rewarding and interesting.
What a surprise.
It's been a long time coming. 👍
I'm new to your page, iam working here in turkey visited kas and stumbled the book titled "Dream On" and I love how you navigate life and dreams❤❤❤
You both should really buy a yacht and go sailing 😀
Hahahaha.
