  • In this episode of Sailing A B Sea we are joined by two of our Patrons, Bryan and Denise. We visit Phaselis, an ancient coastal trading city in Turkey where 100 ton cargo ships would dock en route between Greece, Syria and Egypt. Then come with us as we hike up a mountain at Yanartaş and see flames which constantly burn from vents in the rocks. A truly amazing natural phenomenon!

I think Turkey and Greece have changed Baz. He seems to be a much deeper person. He is becoming his best self.

Really enjoyed this episode - as you were talking about how old the city was - 7th Century BC - I calculated the number of days since then and came up with around 985,500 days ago. Which tells me the earth has been around a long time - and our lives on it are like the blink of an eye. Sure feels that way. Hope things are fine in real time.

985,500 days, wow, that puts things into persective. We're really glad you enjoyed this one Murray. Things are ticking over well enough in real time, thank you.

Love the videos!! You've totally inspired me to book a holiday to kas. Just wondering what the price of a meal is? Can you recommend anywhere thats good and not too expensive? Any must see places? Any advice is much appreciated!!

(Baz) Kas prices are tourist prices but still very affordable compared to most European countries. We always get a warm welcome at Smiley's restaurant and at Cinalar Restaurant. There are so many places to visit with a hire car. Check out lot's of our early Turkey videos as we explore a great deal of them.
